Yesha Rabbis Advise Soldiers Not to Help Destroy Outposts

(IsraelNN.com) Leading national religious rabbis called on soldiers Wednesday night to refuse orders that involve them in the destruction of Jewish hilltop communities and the expulsion of those living there.

Their call sparked a protest in the mass media and among several political leaders, similar to the storm that raged over the same issue during the period of the expulsions from Gaza and northern Samaria in 2005 and in Amona two years ago.

Kiryat Arba-Hevron Chief Rabbi Dov Lior and Beit El Chief Rabbi Zalman Melamed were among those who wrote a statement that said “the holy Torah prohibits taking part in any act of uprooting Jews from any part of “our sacred land.”

In radio interviews Thursday morning, Ichud Leumi (National Union) Knesset Member Michael Ben-Ari and officials of the Council of Rabbis for communities in Judea and Samaria (Yesha) explained that Israel was established because of the Torah and therefore one cannot carry out policies that are against it.

The rabbis conferred at the small community of Givat Asaf, one of the 26 sites that Defense Minister Ehud Barak has vowed to destroy, by force if necessary.

An official for the Council of Yesha Rabbis added, “The government is ruled by non-Jews like [President Barack] Obama and that is our weakness. It is not Jewish sovereignty. They are throwing sand in our eyes with their declarations.”

Gitmo Detainees Finding New Homes In America

Posted by DJM on May 30, 2009

The Obama Administration is preparing for the Gitmo Detainees’ imminent release into the United States.

You can apply to host your very own Islamic fundamentalist in your home by registering HERE.

Dear Concerned Citizen:

Thank you for your recent letter of concern about the treatment of the Taliban and al Qaeda detainees currently being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This Administration takes these matters seriously, and your opinion was heard loud and clear here in Washington.

You’ll be pleased to learn that, thanks to the concerns of citizens like you, we are creating a new division of the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the “Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers” program, or LARK for short. In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to place one terrorist under your personal care.

Your personal detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation under heavily-armed guard to your residence next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him “Al”) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers.

We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommended in your letter.

Ahmed’s meal requirements are simple, but we strongly suggest serving meals that do not require utensils, particularly knives and forks. Also, these should be “one-handed” foods; Ahmed will not eat with his left hand since he uses it to wipe himself after purging his bowels (which he will do in your yard) – but look on the bright side… no increase in the toilet paper bill!

He generally bathes quarterly with the change of seasons, assuming that it rains, and he washes his clothes simultaneously. This should help with your water bill.

Also, your new friend has a really bad case of body lice that hasn’t been completely remedied. Please heed the large orange notice attached to your detainee’s cage: “Does not play well with others.”

Although Ahmed is sociopathic and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his “attitudinal problem” will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. He will bite you, given the chance, but his rabies test came back negative so not to worry.

We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We do not suggest that you ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with your wife or daughters (except sexually) since he views females as a subhuman form of property. However, he will be eager to assist with the education of your sons; have available for their use several copies of the Q’uran.

Oh, and rest assured that he absolutely loves animals, especially cats and dogs. He prefers them roasted, but raw is fine, too, if they aren’t more than 2 or 3 days dead.

Thanks again for your letter. We will be sending a team of federal officials with expertise in your line of work to your place of business soon, just to help you do your job better.

Don’t be concerned that we have the power to close your business, seize your property, and arrest you for any violation of the 4,850,206 federal laws, codes, regulations and rules that apply to your profession. We’re really there just to make sure you’re doing everything the proper way. That is what you wanted, right? Change and hope.

Well, thank you for this opportunity to interact with such a valued member of the citizenry.

You take good care of Ahmed – and remember….we’ll be watching.

Cordially,
President Barack Hussein Obama

Another Way To Look At Healthcare Spending

Posted by ageofpericles on May 29, 2009

Crossposted from Age of Pericles

Liberals Use Improper Metrics To Color Healthcare Debate

The United States spends more per capita on health insurance than any other developed nation. Health spending is expected to rise to 20% of GDP by 2017. Medicare and Medicaid will consume 9% of the federal budget by 2035. The grim statistics march across the pages of the President’s budget, fly forth from Nancy Pelosi’s unctuous lips, and swim through the ocean of red ink that is the Obama deficit. No sane politician would extol the virtues of skyrocketing health costs, but research indicates that this cloud has a silver lining. The two largest pharmaceutical companies, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer, have research budgets of 11% and 15% of their total revenues. Both are based in the United States. The third largest pharmaceutical company, Bayer, is based in Germany where socialized medicine reigns. It budgets only 4% of its outlays for research. This gulf is not limited to private industry; the European Union governments spent $3.7 billion on health research. The National Institute of Health’s budget is allotted at almost eight times that, and results show. The United States birthed or heavily affected the development of five of six of the most major medical advances in the last quarter century of the second millenium. Scientists working in America won more than twice as many Nobel Prizes in the field of medicine than those working elsewhere between 1996 and 2006.

Historical Accuracy Has Become Radical

Posted by Glezele Vayne on May 28, 2009

BS”D

According to some reliable sources, approximately 3,000 Jews are slated to be expelled from their homes beginning as early as next week. I wonder what it’s like preparing for Shavuos knowing that in a few days, one will be tossed out of one’s home? Most of these people have great strength and faith in HKB”H, so I imagine they are not allowing next week’s scheduled events to put a damper on their Shavuos celebrations. — Ellie Katz

Judenrein Palestine?

Rachel Neuwirth, writing in Israeli National News (Jan. 6, 2004):

Why is it that people are proposing a Middle East peace plan that will make Judea and Samaria Judenrein (the Nazi term for a place with no Jews)?

It is the historic homeland and birthplace of the Jewish people, yet many world leaders – including every American president – believe that the removal of Jewish communities from Judea and Samaria is a crucial prerequisite for a peaceful resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Unfortunately, every Israeli prime minister has been pressured to follow this policy.

Jews have lived in Judea and Samaria for thousands of years. In fact, the Jewish religion and people were birthed in Hebron. We know of the ancient Jewish presence there from both the Hebrew and Christian Bibles and from abundant archaeological and documentary evidence.

No one denies that the oldest document showing the historical connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel, including Judea and Samaria (a.k.a. the West Bank), is the Bible. Genesis 24:18 says: “And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron.” And the world’s oldest documentation of real estate being purchased for full price is also in the Bible (see Genesis 23:9). And for those who doubt biblical references, there is substantial evidence in archaeological findings (see http://www.sciencedaily.com/encyclopedia/History_of_ancient_Israel_and_Judah ).

Historically, the Jewish homeland included what is today called Judea and Samaria, the Golan Heights, and a considerable part of today’s Jordan. The land was inhabited mainly by Jews and was ruled by Jews. Therefore, Lord Robert Cecil, former acting British foreign secretary, was right to use the name “Judea” for the whole land in his famous remark: “Our wish is that Arabian countries shall be for the Arabs, Armenia for the Armenians, and Judea for the Jews.” (December 2, 1917; see http://www.esek.com/jerusalem/iudaea.html .)

The Jewish presence there has been continuous, except for 19 years from 1948 to 1967 when the area became Judenrein . And during that 19 year period, the Jordanians and Arabs of the remaining portion of “Palestine” desecrated Jewish holy sites and cemeteries in an attempt to deny that the Jews ever lived there.

Those who advocate the dismantling of the Jewish communities in this territory are advocating a policy of ethnic cleansing. This may sound extreme, but from the early 1900s, the Arabs carried out a policy of ethnic cleansing that included the massacre and pogroms in 1929 and 1936 in Hebron. Both the spirit and practice of ethnic cleansing are being continued in the current conflict (see http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_mandate_grand_mufti.php ).

So, what did UN Secretary-General Kofi Anan mean in his 2001 Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech when he said, “A genocide begins with the killing of one man — not for what he has done, but because of who he is. A campaign of ‘ethnic cleansing’ begins with one neighbor turning on another.”

Does this not also apply to the Israeli Jews who have re-established homes in Judea and Samaria? Should they be ethnically cleansed from the heart of their historical homeland? Does the Nobel recipient not know a real victim of ethnic cleansing when he sees one?

The same people and countries that condemned ethnic cleansing in the Balkans, Cyprus, Rwanda and Tibet totally reverse themselves when it comes to the right of Jewish people to live in the lands of their historic patrimony. If Chinese people were forbidden to live in China, Buddhists barred from Tibet, or Irish-Catholics banned from South Boston, there would be a tremendous outcry against such injustices. But where is the outcry against the removal of Jews from Judea — their historical homeland?

International Whores, Pimps, Johns & Drugs

The Prostitution of Peace

by Sultan Knish

If you believe the current regime of diplomats and pundits, peace is something that can be obtained for the right price. Where peace once meant the mutual cessation of war, peace has now become something that can now be bought and sold. Put the right amount on the table and peace can be yours, the pimps of peace cry on every corner. Behind them stand their gruesome wares, the terrorists and mass murderers who will have peace with you, perhaps for a night or two, if the right price is paid. The tricks may think that peace is a long term marriage, but they know it is only a one night stand. Hudna. Ceasefire. Time enough for them to rearm and kill again.

We live now in the era of the prostitution of peace. Love doesn’t enter into it. Brotherhood doesn’t enter into it. We no longer have peace because we are both tired of war and wish an end to it. No, peace has become something that the brute, the thug and the monster offers to the civilized world in exchange for weapons, power and international stature. And so we no longer have peace, instead the very idea of peace has become a lost hope, a compulsive gambler’s winning streak, an alky’s last beer, a forlorn cause in the darkened streets of civilization’s modern diplomatic dystopia.

To continue the analogy, the drugs that keep everyone high, disinterested in reality, blinded to the destruction of themselves and those around them as they mumble happily to themselves are the guns, the power, the money, the villas and the privileges.

The lives of “We the People” are the aborted fetuses.

A Poke in the Eye to Holocaust Deniers

Posted by Glezele Vayne on May 26, 2009

BS”D

According to Father Patrick Desbois, estimates of how many Jews were murdered during the Holocaust may have to be revised upwards by as much as 1.5 million more.

Audio: Subjugation – Now and Then (Second Half of Show) Cnaan Lipshitz talks with Yishai Fleisher about Father Patrick Dubois (sic), a Catholic clergyman who is uncovering the horrors of the Ukrainian and Polish role in the Holocaust. The first half covers how the Israeli government turns a blind eye to illegal Arab building, while watching, harassing and tearing down so-called “illegal” building by Jews, on JNF land.

Uncovering the Past by Marisa Buchanan, also covers the Ukranian massacres of Jews. Father Debois’ research is bringing new facts to the full light of day. The comments following this article are as interesting as the article itself as many survivors and children of survivors write a bit of their stories. There are titles to books, personal memoirs and links  as well.

Then, there is Father Desbois’ site, Memoir de Shoah. I put it in my blogroll, under Jewish History, since I anticipate reading the site thoroughly and referring to it in future posts.

Holocaust by Bullets is another link on the topic of the important work done by Father Desbois, published by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

For anyone who wants to assist Holocaust survivor’s directly, click Survivor Mitzvah, found in the comments at the MSNBC article.

A book recommendation within those same comments: The Unbearable Light of Being by Jonathan Safran Foer.

Einsatzgruppen murders are discussed extensively in Yaffa Eliach’s well researched book, There Once Was a World. I’m not completely clear on this, but I’m guessing the Einsatzgruppen murders are a distinct, though related subject,  since the research done by Father Desbois is considered cutting edge. His work currently centers in the Ukraine, but he hopes to continue this research in every country that was occupied by the Nazis during WWII. May HKB”H give him the strength.

Update 27 May 2009: I just read the front page of Father Desbois site Memoir de Shoah. He is researching the Einsatzgruppen murders.

Many people Father Desbois interviewed didn’t speak up until now, because they still live in daily fear of retribution by either the German or Russian government. As he has noted, the trauma of eithe participating or witnessing the horrid brutality of this part of the Holocaust has frozen many of these people in time. For them, the Holocaust never ended.

Another resource worth considering are the self-published memoirs of Lorissa Holt  entitled “I Remember . . . A Memoir of Nazi Invasion, Forced Exile and Concentration Camp.” They can be obtained by contacting garyerichardson@gmail.com.

The Huffington Post has a lengthy piece on the work of Father Desbois as well. Seems no one can make up their minds how his name is spelled.

It’s the End of the World, and Obama Feels Fine

(Crossposted at http://paranoidpyro8503.blogspot.com/2009/05/its-end-of-world-but-obama-feels-fine.html)

So this Memorial Day finds the news wires abuzz with the unmistakeable proof of how much the world loves and respects President Obama. Did I say love and respect? My apologies, I meant the exact opposite. It appears as though the rest of the world is figuring out, long ahead of about 52% of the American electorate, is that President Lightweight has absolutely no idea what he is doing in the realm of international affairs. Sword of Truth

Posted by DJM on May 25, 2009

American_Flag_2
We do not fight for land. We are loyal to an ideal – an ideal of liberty wherever man lives. We do not guard territory, bleed for a piece of dirt. We don’t fight because we love violence. We fight for our freedom as individuals to live our own lives, to pursue our own survival, our own happiness.

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self defense, because you think it’s a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

Evil grants no mercy, and to attempt to appease it is nothing more than a piecemeal surrender to it. Surrender to evil is slavery at best, death at worst. Thus your unconditional rejection of violence is really nothing more than embracing death as preferable to life.

You will achieve what you embrace.

The right, the absolute necessity, of vengeance against anyone who initiates force against you is fundamental to survival. The morality of a people’s self-defense is in it’s defense of each individual’s right to life. It’s an intolerance to violence made real by an unwavering willingness to crush any who would launch violence against you. The unconditional determination to destroy any who would initiate force against you is an exaltation of the value of life. Refusing to surrender your life to any thug or tyrant who lays claim to it is in fact embracing life itself.

If you are unwilling to defend your right to your own lives, then you are merely like mice trying to argue with owls. You think their ways are wrong. They think you are dinner.

If, hoping to appease it, you willingly compromise with unrepentant evil, you only allow such evil to sink it’s fangs into you; from that day on its venom will course through your veins until it finally kills you.

Compromising with murderers grants them moral equivalence where none can rightly exist. Moral equivalence says that you are no better than they; therefore their belief – that they should be able to torture, rape, or murder you – is just as morally valid as your view – that you have the right to live free of their violence. Moral compromise rejects the concept of right and wrong. It says that everyone is equal, all desires are equally valid, all action is equally valid, so everyone should compromise to get along.

Where could you compromise with those who torture, rape and murder people? In the number of days a week you will be tortured? In the number of men to be allowed to rape your loved ones? In how many of your family are to be murdered?

No moral equivalence exists in that situation, nor can it exist, so there can be no compromise, only suicide.

To even suggest compromise can exist with such men is to sanction murder.

Many teach that saying someone is evil is prejudiced thinking. It’s a way of belittling someone already in pain for some reason. Such people must be embraced and taught to shed their fears of their fellow man and then they will not strike out in violent ways.

They are dangerous to everyone because they embrace evil with their teachings. In so doing, in trying to be kind, to be unselfish, in trying to be nonjudgmental, you allow evil to become far more powerful than it otherwise would. you refuse to see evil, and so you welcome it among you. You allow it to exist. You give it power over you. You are a people who have welcomed death and refused to denounce it.

You are an empire naked to the shadow of evil.

These people think of themselves as enlightened, as above violence. They are not enlightened; they are merely slaves awaiting a master, victims awaiting killers.

A time for thanks and remembrance

I am thankful For knowing I have a place as I awake to a new day

For the right to speak my mind or kneel quietly and pray…

For the dreams that I strive to reach. For the love I am free to give

For the laughter shared with dearest friend – the necessity to live…

For the security and peace of mind knowing all is safe and sound

For growing, sharing, hoping and caring. For goodness that is all around…

For all of this we are grateful , whispered soundly or loudly sing

Their duty, their sacrifice have let our freedom ring… Read the rest of this entry »
