Israel arrests Cynthia McKinney

Posted by avideditor on June 30, 2009

It is about time IMHO. She openly supports jihadis like Hamas. She was asking for it IMHO. I wonder what Obama will say.

Here is the story from the Caliphate News Network CNN

Israel navy intercepts boat with ex-U.S. Rep. McKinney

JERUSALEM (CNN) — The Israeli navy took control of a boat that violated an Israeli blockade and crossed into Gazan waters Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces said, while a Gaza group said the ship was carrying humanitarian aid, a former U.S. congresswoman and a Nobel laureate.

The boat’s crew included former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney, according to the Free Gaza Movement, a human rights group that sent the boat it calls “Spirit of Humanity” from Cyprus.

Along with McKinney, who served six terms in the House of Representatives from Georgia and was the Green Party’s presidential nominee in 2008, Israeli authorities took 20 people into custody, the group said.

The Blacks Who Cried Post-Racial Racism by Afrocity

Posted by afrocity on June 30, 2009

Racist 11

The following post was originally posted at Afrocity’s Blog Autographed Letter Signed

A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village,

brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, “Wolf! Wolf!”

and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.
The Wolf, however, did truly come at last.

The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror:

“Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep”;

but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance.

The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.
There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

-Aesop from “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”

The subject of this post is so hilarious that I was elated when someone finally loaded the following clip from the O’reilly Factor on You Tube.  It is about charges from the African American community that the media being racist in its coverage of recently deceased pop music icon Michael Jackson. I warned you in my Sunday Soliloquy post that this would be coming.  While watching television interviews of African American celebrities who discussed the passing of Michael, I noticed a certain …..ummm…defensiveness whenever they were asked about Michael’s use of prescription drugs, the allegations of pedophilia that were brought against him, or his ever lightening skin complexion.  There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a very talented artist and like most artists: Van Gogh, Elvis Presley, Picasso, Woody Allen,  Mr. Jackson led a very colorful or colorless life depending on how you look at him. Michael had some issues (you know he did)  and I see nothing wrong with the media bringing up those controversial issues during interviews.  There is nothing racist about it.  Michael’s iconic status is not only about his musical gifts and tremendous dancing ability, it also encompasses our memories of him as a person- a human being who was indisputably talented but like all of us, not without sin or mistakes. Would You Look at That, Another 2 Examples of Blatant Media Bias

Well well, it appears that Duke University may have another rape scandal on its hand soon. Of course everybody remembers the lacrosse players accused of raping a black stipper, it was all over the news. Many people lost interest soon afterward, but all of the boys accused were found innocent of their crime. Read the rest of this entry »

Bread and Circuses

Roman Poet Juvenal

Roman Poet Juvenal

“Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses.”

–Roman poet Juvenal in Satire X

Michael Jackson died this past weekend. I know that must shock you, as there has been suprisingly little coverage of it in the news. I mean Michael Jackson has been famous since he was about 8, and sold a lot of records over the years. Sure he was no head of state, he didn’t invent anything significant, he didn’t cure any diseases, and he had some legal issues over the past couple decades, but you would think that he would warrant a passing mention in the news somewhere along the way.

Understanding Ahmadinejad

Posted by Glezele Vayne on June 28, 2009

BS”D

I have done an extensive google search on Ahmadinejad’s now famous words regarding “the Zionist entity”, which he spoke at the The World Without Zionism conference in Tehran, on 28. 10. 05. (translated version; provided by Iran Focus) Wikipedia covers the controversy as well. I looked for a transcript at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting , but it doesn’t appear to have archives that far back.

According to all the leftie sites I visited, the following are the transliterated words in question.

“Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad.”

I have a couple of Iranian acquaintances. I’ll run this sentence by them sometime. In the meantime, here’s the liberal/antizionist (read “antisemitic”) take on their pal Ahmadinejad’s words.

That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word “Regime”, pronounced just like the English word with an extra “eh” sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase “rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods” (regime occupying Jerusalem).

So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want “wiped from the map”? The answer is: nothing. That’s because the word “map” was never used. The Persian word for map, “nagsheh”, is not contained anywhere in his original farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase “wipe out” ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran’s President threatened to “wipe Israel off the map”, despite never having uttered the words “map”, “wipe out” or even “Israel”.

THE PROOF:

The full quote translated directly to English:

“The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time”.

Word by word translation:

Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

Iranian Dissident: Dear Israeli Brothers and Sisters – Help Us!

Posted by Glezele Vayne on June 25, 2009

BS”D

by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

(IsraelNN.com) Iranian anti-regime activists are hoping for an Israeli technological hand to help them fight the Islamic Republic. As of now, hundreds of protesters have been killed by the regime, which is evidently using Arabic-speaking armed thugs from Hizbullah to help perpetrate the violence.

“Dear Israeli Brothers and Sisters,” writes Iranian dissident Arash Irandoost, “Iran needs your help more than ever now. And we will be eternally grateful. Please help opposition television and radio stations which are blocked and being jammed by the Islamic Republic (Nokia and Siemens) resume broadcast to Iran. There is a total media blackout and Iranians inside Iran for the most part are not aware of their brave brothers and sisters fighting and losing their lives daily. And the unjust treatment and brutal massacre of the brave Iranians in the hands of the mullah’s paid terrorist Hamas and Hizbullah gangs are not seen by the majority of the Iranians. Please help in any way you can to allow these stations resume broadcasting to Iran.

And, please remember that we will remember, as you have remembered Cyrus the Great’s treatment of you in your time of need,” Irandoost concludes, signing his blogged call for help “Your Iranian Brothers and Sisters!”

In an interview with Israel National News, Iranian expatriate pro-democracy activist Amil Imani said that Irandoost’s message represents the sentiments of much of the youth in the streets in Iran. They have a strong belief in the technological know-how of the Israelis to overcome the Iranian regime’s attempts to block communications.

Baby Kim Jong-il after a nice rice cereal breakfast

Baby Kim Jong-il after a nice rice cereal breakfast

I found the article linked below at Yahoo…I was looking for more interesting news on Iran. Those folks have me all inspired. But this guy, this Kim Jong-il, this feller is just plain asking for it.

N. Korea threatens US; world anticipates missile

King Jong-il, future benevolent tyrant of North Korea, as a boy

King Jong-il, future benevolent tyrant of North Korea, as a boy

While I do see the sense in Obama’s diplomatic approach***towards the Iranian protest/revolution…I sure hope he decides to verbally trounce this guy, who is clearly unhinged.

Excerpt:

Kim Jong-il's kitty-cat

Kim Jong-il's kitty-cat

“The new U.N. Security Council resolution requires member states to seek permission to inspect suspicious cargo. North Korea has said it would onsider interception a declaration of war and on Wednesday accused the U.S. of seeking to provoke another Korean War.

“If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will … wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all,” the official Korean Central News Agency said.”

All grown up!

All grown up!

So, even if it’s obvious there are illegal weapons on board the Kang Nam, and even if the U.S. obtains permission from the U.N.

(Hey, isn’t that a compromise of our sovereignty?), should we act on that suspicion, with the permission of the U.N. — as far as Kim Jong-il is concerned, we’ve committed an act of war, and he will “wipe of off the map” (G-d forbid).  Boy…that is a quandary.

Doesn’t sound to me like diplomacy is an option really.

***Update: the time has passed for diplomacy, as the Iranian gov’t is now guilty of wholesale murder and rape of their people.

Celebrating Freedom

Posted by DJM on June 22, 2009

42-16241997

While Iranian Protesters shed their blood for just a taste of freedom, Iranian Diplomats will celebrate our freedom with a barbecue, courtesy of President Barack Hussein Obama.

From Weasel Zippers:

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The United States said Monday its invitations were still standing for Iranian diplomats to attend July 4 celebrations at US embassies despite the crackdown on opposition supporters.

How’s that for rubbing the noses of Iranian Freedom Fighters into the bloodstained pavement of their Revolution?

Plan to use a huge bomb blast to divert attention from the electoral coup

Posted by Glezele Vayne on June 19, 2009

BS”D

From Tehran Broadcast

translated by sherry | source: Harf-e Hesab (blog) originally published on June 18

People’s presence on the streets has surprised the coup leaders. To finish the coup they need to turn things violent and heavily crackdown on protests. But their efforts at this have so far been frustrated by people’s silent presence in the rallies [reference to silent pro-Mousavi rallies]. So in order to divert public opinion and to silence the dissenters and the protesters, they need an incident on the “national security” scale. It seems like it would be ideal if this happens during the leader’s presence in the Friday prayers (on June 20th). In that case, the debate over the electoral coup will be marginalized and the protesters, whether arrested or not, will be labeled traitors and subverters. This would provide the pretext for a very bloody crackdown. This would mean burying the people’s demands and efforts, and wasting the blood of the freedom’s martyrs. This plan should be widely publicized — even if the rumors about it are not a hundred percent reliable — as public knowledge of it can neutralize it.
