Discrediting Mr. Walid Shoebat

I noticed I have had another visit from Dawud Walid. Long time no see Mr. Walid.
So, I checked out one of his latest posts. He’s doing his level best to call into doubt the life story of Mr. Walid Shoebat as he tells it. I read some of the links to a Jerusalem Post Online article by a Jorge Luyken, as well as few pieces here and there. I will be commenting on it as soon as I can put something together.
For now, all I can say is balderdash. Or perhaps more appropriately — taqqiyah. No one would put their lives on the line as Mr. Shoebat has done in order to earn money on speaking fees around the country and the rest of the world.
There are easier ways to make a living.
There is cause for optimism if the Islamic activists in this country are worried enough about Mr. Shoebat that they work so hard to try and discredit him. He must be hitting a nerve.
Mr. Dawid Walid might consider spending more time working on improving the image of Muslims in America through truthful means. He might consider learning from Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, who is genuinely concerned about the future of Muslims in America. If Mr. Walid is truly concerned, then he might consider an effort at re-educating his fellow Muslims on how to live peacefully among other cultures and religions in a modern democracy where there exists a free market of ideas.
It’ll be a lot of hard work, and possibly high risk.
Not nearly as much fun as defaming others efforts at the same. He might have to hire professional body guards, as as has been required by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Dr. Wafa Sultan and Geert Wilders, to mention a few.
That fact alone speaks volumes.
