Why are the left so beholden to anti-Semitism?

Posted by avideditor on February 3, 2011

From http://eye-on-the-world.blogspot.com/2011/01/why-are-left-so-beholden-to-anti.html?zx=d51fd4f842f9e065

One of the more disturbing things about the UK today is how it is fashionable for the left to be anti-Semitic. Which explains why so many Unions/Church groups and such have no problem going out of their way in which to attack the Jews (not physically) because they belong to the same religious group as the people of Israel. So we have idiots walking free from court (in Scotland at that) after a racially aggravated conduct against members of an Israeli orchestra. As I mentioned the other day, the former mayor of London was sanctioned for referring to a Jewish reporter as a Nazi death camp guard, and we have the case of how protesters who broke into a factory in the south of England casing £180,000 of damage, walked free from court because the judge accepted their reason for doing so was because they believed that the company EDO makes components used by the IDF (not weapons, not ammunition but components) during its then war against Gaza in 2009.

Disgusting!… Media Matters Blames Jews for Egyptian Crisis

Posted by avideditor on February 1, 2011

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

From http://gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com/2011/01/sick-batard-media-matters-blames-jews-for-egyptian-crisis/

Will the 400 leftist rabbis refute this?
This was some sick stuff. Anti-Semitism is alive and well at Media Matters.

The Soros-funded Media Matters blamed the Egyptian crisis today on the US Jewish lobby and media-owning Jews.
Yid With Lid reported this from Media Matters.

If one needs additional proof that the “pro-Israel” lobby and the policies it dictates to US policymakers are bad for both the U.S. and Israel, look no further than what is happening in Egypt.

The regime that the Israeli government and its U.S. lobby have depended upon to enforce the status quo is going down. It is not clear when, but it’s going to be soon, much sooner than anyone ever anticipated. And you can be sure that any democratic government that takes Mubarak’s place is not going to play the role of America’s (let alone Israel’s) enforcer in the Middle East.

Hopefully, the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty will survive — thousands of lives on both sides have been saved by President Carter’s Camp David Treaty — but there are no guarantees. Far from it.

Of course, no one would even be worried about the peace treaty if the Israelis had agreed to implement the critical second part of the Camp David Accords.
That was the part that would have ended the occupation. But the Israelis chose to ignore it and the lobby and the ever-faithful Congress blocked Carter’s efforts to push it through.

Write Media Matters here and demand that they retract this awful anti-Semitic attack against American Jews.

UN Human Rights Council’s Richard Falk Discredited as Truther

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

What more evidence is there to disband the jihadi controlled UN?

From http://blog.camera.org/archives/2011/01/un_human_rights_councils_richa_1.html

falk.jpgRichard Falk

In 2008, Richard Falk began a six-year term as the UN Human Rights Council’s permanent investigator on “Israel’s violations of the principles of international law”– a position that itself is a manifestation of clear bias, as it is meant to investigate only Israeli actions and not Palestinian ones. Now the person who holds this position is exposed as a conspiracy theorist, or “truther” who believes he knows the “truth” about 9/11, namely that the U.S. government, and not Al Qaeda, was responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center. It is not surprising that these lunatic fringe views are suported by one who has expressed similar fringe views about Israel, for example, comparing Israeli actions to those of the Nazis. And it is not surprising that the UN Human Rights Council, specifically selected someone with such objectionable views as their resident condemner of Israel.

Falk’s exposure as a conspiracy theorist comes as a result of UN Watch’s 3-year campaign “to expose and combat Falk’s denial and justification of Hamas and Al Qaeda terrorism, and his material support for 9/11 conspiracy theorists.” Read about ithere.

Study: Rampant anti-semitism at the Huffington Post

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

The pro jihadis lefties turn out to hate Jews too.

From http://olehgirl.com/?p=6256

“Jews are evil. Israel runs the world. Lets kill ‘em all and give the land back to Islam; result-perpetual peace. Seig Heil.” A comment by prominent commenter “pedrothemigrant,” 5/23/08
Front Page magazine provides an in-depth look at what is business as usual over at the Huffington Post: “In its four years of existence,The Huffington Post (aka “HuffPost”) has grown from obscurity into the world’s most-visited blogsite, and one of America’s most popular news sites. It now has more monthly visitors than the Washington Post, and is supported by some of the largest advertisers in the world. Its representatives have been allowed to ask questions at presidential press conferences, and one was even given preferential treatment. It now enjoys access to, and influence over, the top levels of the U.S. government. Top members of the U.S. Senate are among HuffPost’s official bloggers, including John Kerry, Carl Levin, Chris Dodd, Barbara Boxer and others.
A significant reason for HuffPost’s success and “legitimization” are its claims that it is a nonpartisan “newspaper,” dedicated to “ferret(ing) out the truth,” and “debunking the left-right way of thinking.”
HuffPost also claims to be non-partisan in its moderation of user comments. Arianna Huffington, the site’s founder and Editor-In-Chief, claims HuffPost has “a zero tolerance policy” for hate speech, and that it acts vigilantly to keep its comment threads free of offensive content, 24-7.

Antisemitism on the rise in Europe

Posted by avideditor on January 24, 2011

More jihadis = more other problems.

From http://lumpygrumpyandfrumpy.blogspot.com/2011/01/antisemitism-on-rise-in-europe.html

Though the Turkel committee cleared the IDF and Israel of any illegal actions during the May 31 flotilla raid, a Jewish Agency report says the deaths of the nine Turkish citizens on board unleashed a surge of anti-Semitism throughout the world…

“The report adds that physical harm is done to Jews or Jewish institutions nearly every day, especially in Europe, with France being the leader in such incidents. Belgium, Holland, and Sweden are also seen as dangerous abodes of anti-Semitism.

“In addition, the Jewish Agency warns that extreme Islamic movements in Europe have increasingly adopted Nazi ideology throughout 2010, with Holocaust denial escalating to a view of the atrocities of World War II as punishment of Jews for their crimes.”

More here.

I don’t think the IDF raid on the flotilla unleashed any antisemitism: all it did was provide an easy excuse for the open expression of the antisemitism that was already there.

Exploring Anti Israel Rhetoric, Radical Islamic Propaganda and Anti Semitism

Posted by avideditor on January 23, 2011

Anti Semitism is on the rise fueled by growing anti Israel rhetoric. Just a few weeks ago, a former European Commissioner and a prominent Dutch politician, Frits Bolkestein, called on orthodox Jews to leave Holland because of “the anti-Semitism among Dutchmen of Moroccan descent, whose numbers keep growing”. Reading this statement propelled me to learn more about the state of Anti Semitism in Europe and its connection to the efforts to de legitimize Israel’s right to exist. I asked Professor Dina Porat, the founder and former head of the institute for the study of contemporary Anti Semitism and Racism in Tel Aviv University, for an interview to explore the connection between Anti Israel rhetoric, Radical Islamic propaganda and anti Semitism.

Quote: Greed, Left-wingery, anti-Semitism and pusillanimity make universities into Islamist breeding grounds

Posted by avideditor on January 4, 2010

Quote: Greed, Left-wingery, anti-Semitism and pusillanimity make universities into Islamist breeding grounds: “

Quote: Greed, Left-wingery, anti-Semitism and pusillanimity make universities into Islamist breeding grounds

(…)

It’s not that universities haven’t had enough warnings. Sheikh Musa Admani, an imam at London Metropolitan University, pleaded with both the Home Office and academic leaders to supervise and control Islamic societies. He spoke eloquently of vulnerable, friendless first-year students, confused about the conflict between Islam and hedonistic secular values, who are natural prey for Islamist evangelists offering companionship, brotherly love and a clear sense of identity.

Admani’s common-sense advice – for instance, that prayer rooms should be open to all, not just Muslims, and that speakers should be vetted – were seemingly ignored by most academics and officials. So what he had observed continued: university after university provided Muslim prayer rooms that were all too often taken over by extremists who changed the locks, showed innocent freshers heavy-duty propaganda films of Muslim suffering at the hands of wicked Jews, Americans and Brits, and brought to the campus inspirational speakers who encouraged the young to sacrifice themselves for Allah.

Then there was Professor Anthony Glees who, four years ago in his book When Students Turn to Terror, named more than 30 universities where ‘extremist and/or terror groups’ were to be found. He was denounced by the National Union of Students and met with hostility from the academic establishment. The following year, when an all-party parliamentary commission reported on the rise in anti-Semitism that was accompanying increasing support for Islamism on campuses, in the words of its chairman, the respected Denis MacShane, ‘university vice-chancellors and the university lecturers’ union pooh-poohed our concerns’. And when the Government finally became alarmed, its suggestion that academics should keep an eye on their students and report signs of extremism was angrily rejected by the same union (University and College Union), which boasts a substantial minority who want an academic boycott against Israel.

(….)

The truth is that a mixture of greed, knee-jerk Left-wingery, anti-Semitism and pusillanimity have combined to make our universities breeding grounds for Islamism. The greed is two‑fold. Starved of funds and bullied by the Government into dropping standards in the name of social and ethnic diversity, universities court more foreign students than they can cope with and do nothing to upset them. Equally alarmingly, they woo benefactors from such rotten societies as Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Delusional extreme left wing group J Street cries anti-semitism when they ARE the anti-semites

Posted by avideditor on December 25, 2009

Is opposing J Street anti-Semitic?: During a visit to Jerusalem this past week, President Obumbler’s head of the Office to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism blasted Michael Oren’s remarks about the pro-Israel, pro-‘peace’ J-Street lobby as ‘unfortunate.’
In an interview with Haaretz in Jerusalem, where Rosenthal was the administration’s envoy to the Foreign Ministry’s Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism, Rosenthal, who once served on J street’s board of directors, said she opposes blurring the lines between anti-Semitism and criticism of Israel.

“It is not 1939,” she said. “We have the state of Israel. We have laws in countries that are holding people accountable.”
Really? Which laws? In what countries? Surely not in Sweden, for example.
While the U.S. administration embraced J Street, which lends its unqualified support to U.S. President Barack Obama, the Israeli government turned a cold shoulder to the group. Obama’s national security adviser, General James Jones, gave the keynote speech at the conference, while Israel sent a low-level official, claiming that J Street works against Israel’s interests.

Rosenthal, who also served on the board of directors of left-wing group Americans for Peace Now, said she believed Oren “would have learned a lot” if he had participated in J Street’s conference.

“I came away realizing what a generational divide there is and I don’t know how it is in Israel. Young people want to be part of the discussion, they feel they have fresh ideas and they feel that we have to end the stalemate,” she said.

Rosenthal strongly believes that new and different voices need to be heard regarding Israel in the American Jewish community.

“We need to have as many people coming together to try and put an end to this crisis, the matzav [situation] can not continue – it’s unacceptable and that’s why I always paid my membership to AIPAC, but I have always paid my membership to Americans for Peace Now – because they all need to be supported and they all need to be at the table.”

“We may disagree on different paths to get there – but we need to at least admit that peace is the goal and security is the goal,” she said.
The situation here may not be acceptable but the reality here is that it’s not coming to an end anytime soon either. The ‘Palestinians’ want to obliterate us from the face of the earth. Peaceniks like Rosenthal don’t get that.

Ironically, as you may recall, Michael Oren favors unilateral withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, which puts him far closer to the Obama administration’s views than about 96% of Israel’s Jews. But even Oren understands that opposing sanctions on Iran is over the line. Rosenthal – and her boss in the White House – apparently do not.

Rosenthal’s remarks lead to the conclusion that while opposing Israel is not anti-Semitic, opposing J Street is, because it ostensibly excludes some Jews from the public political debate on Israel. She doesn’t address the double standard that J Street poses by excluding all opposing viewpoints from its events. Whatever, there are some viewpoints that are so repulsive that we should not be obligated to hear them.

Martin Luther King believed that in this day and age, non-Jews who oppose Israel do so out of anti-Semitism, and indeed, one look at the signs at any anti-Israel rally in Europe or the US ought to be enough to convince anyone with an open mind that the protesters are motivated by anti-Semitism and not ‘just’ by anti-Zionism. On the other hand, for Israelis and their true supporters, opposing and discrediting the Saudi-funded J Street, which does not take Israel’s existence for granted, and which is uncomfortable with calling itself pro-Israel, is a sine qua non. Not to mention that many of J Street’s ‘Jewish’ supporters may not be halachically Jewish anyway.

No wonder so much of the American Jewish community opposed Rosenthal’s appointment. Her views are way out of the Jewish mainstream.

Read the whole thing.

Rosenthal was slammed by Jewish leaders across the board for her remarks – even by leaders who support Obama.
“I was surprised to see an official of the American government commenting on the positions taken by Ambassador Oren,” said Alan Solow, who is a long-time supporter of US President Barack Obama, is considered close to the administration, and is the chairman of the New York-based Conference of Presidents.

Rosenthal’s comments “go beyond her responsibilities,” he said, and reflected only her “personal feelings.”

“I’ve had any number of conversations with people in the administration who interact regularly with Ambassador Oren, and they have spoken very highly of him. The comments are especially inappropriate given the fact that the administration is actively involved in trying to advance the peace process and its relationship with Israel on a variety of fronts,” he added.

Josh Block, a spokesman for AIPAC, the largest Israel advocacy group in Washington, said “AIPAC totally agrees with the sentiment expressed by Alan Solow and the Conference of Presidents, and those views are widely held by members of the Conference.”

A senior Jewish official in Washington who asked to remain anonymous called the Rosenthal interview, published in Haaretz on Thursday, “a very troubling occurrence. I can’t recall a circumstance in which an American diplomat criticized an ambassador of any country in such a significant way.”

The official said news reports that Jewish leaders are calling the White House to protest the interview “are accurate.”

Another senior Jewish official who asked not to be named called her comments “unfair to [Oren].”
Something tells me she won’t keep her mouth shut the next time either.

New Anti-Semitic Textbook

It seems more lies and libels against the jews are put into a new textbook.

A new textbook introduced into a Sydney, Australia school charges that “much modern conflict in the world is related to the reactions of other groups to the Jewish people.” The author, Christopher Hartney of the University of Sydney, also wrote that polygamy is “commonly practiced in the Jewish State.”

Separating Patriots from Punks

Re-posted here with permission. Originally posted at Northeast Intelligence Network

By Randy Taylor, Independent Analyst & Contributor

There is undoubtedly a patriot movement underway in the US right now – several, in fact – many striving in the same direction, while others are so far off course that they simply should not be considered as patriotic in any way. The latter are jeopardizing true patriotism and real patriots should distance themselves from these people and realize that they are the ones that give the federal government the ability to label them as “extremists” and a detriment to our country.  This is because some of these so called “patriots” are not true American patriots.

Definition of a PATRIOT:

1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion.
2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.
