The Protocols of the Daily Kos

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Charles of LGF has found some really offense lies being spread at the Daily Kos.

The Protocols of the Daily Kos: “

Jew-hatred bubbles and ferments just beneath the surface at Daily Kos, erupting from time to time in gaseous diary posts like this one: Daily Kos: What’s Wrong With Being Anti Israel?

There seems to be such a taboo in the media about anyone or any story that is critical of Israel.  Witness the recent attacks on the Obama campaign via activities by his ex-pastor that was considered ‘Anti-Israel’.  Remember the vicious treatment that Jimmy Carter got for mentioning the words ‘Apartheid’ and Israel in his book title? Candidate after candidate has to pay lip service and claim his blind allegiance to that state… and why?  why is it the ‘kiss of death’ to be critical of Israel.

[…blah, blah … apartheid … blah, blah … concentration camps … blah, blah…]

Israel continues to deny the right of return to over 2 million refugees spread all over the world for more than 50 years… can you imagine living in shanty towns and tents for over 50 years??

– Israel maintains a racial based system of government based on the failed ideology of Zionism. An ideology that at heart is based on racist nationalism granting rights to one ‘ethnic’ (or is it religious?) group only

– While Israel claims to be living in the constant fear of terrorism, the death ratio of Palestinians vs. Israeli is roughly 13 to 1. Yet, somehow, they are the victims, and our media pushes that notion on us (and we wonder why the world hates us).

– Israel has TWICE invaded its northern neighbor, Lebanon and continues daily violations of its air space. Complaints to the UN are constantly blocked by, guess who?, the USA.

[…blah, blah … criticism of Israel is not antisemitism … blah, blah … Jimmy Carter rocks … blah, blah…]

I am anti-Israel and anti-Zionist and proud of it. Anyone who spends time looking at the history and facts of the region would come to the same conclusion. We should not be made to feel like a pariah in our own country for believing so.

Lesson of the Day : Thuggery Works

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

I found this amazingly written piece at the Jawa Report. Enjoy.

Lesson of the Day : Thuggery Works: “

rageboy.jpgGiven the state of affairs in our world today, it’s easy to get angry.

When some folks get angry, they go home and pour themselves a glass of scotch. When other folks get angry, they threaten people, kill people, smash things and start fires.

In a world where extortion and thuggery aren’t tolerated, of course, threats and arson just don’t pay off.

Unfortunately, we don’t live in that world.

vandalism[1].jpgWe live in a world today where extortion, thuggery and terror often do pay off, and sometimes handsomely. We live in a world where those least willing to play well with others often find themselves most rewarded for their behavior. In the meantime, those who operate under the normal, traditional rules of rational discourse and proper etiquette find themselves increasingly silenced and shunted to the sidelines in order to make ample room and comfort for the loudest and least reasonable among us. Our pointy-headed elites send out to the world the message that the future belongs to those least willing to accept compromise and conciliation, and to those who are willing to undertake whatever means they think necessary to advance their cause.

1hughes.jpgLong ago, the West set foot on a path to a society in which decisions were made based on persuasion and discourse. A system based on persuasion and discourse requires, of course, that everyone (or at least the vast majority) in the group buys in to the game. Unfortunately, there have always been those who preferred to ‘short-circuit’ the system and revert to more ‘medieval’ methods of persuasion in order to get their way. After all, if those methods work, what’s to keep them from being used to trump the system? Nothing at all save personal morality and conscience. As you might have noticed, these are often in short supply, particularly among the ranks of the world’s terrorists and extortionists. Thus, in the absence of a serious and meaningful official response to violence (or the threat of violence), violence (or the threat of violence) will ultimately carry the day.

“Islamic Outreach” Run Amok: Entire U.S. Attorney’s Office Recused From Hanooti Iraqi Spy Case

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Some interesting news from Debbie Schlussel

“Islamic Outreach” Run Amok: Entire U.S. Attorney’s Office Recused From Hanooti Iraqi Spy Case: “

By Debbie Schlussel

For years, I’ve been complaining (including in New York Post columns) about the absurd outreach by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan to extremist Muslims in the Detroit area. As I’ve repeatedly noted, a monthly ‘BRIDGES’ group meeting hosted by FBI award revokee and ‘former’ Islamic terrorist, Imad Hamad, and U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy III a/k/a ‘Abu Porno,’ consisted of extremist Muslim leaders bitching and federal officials pandering to them, apologizing for their agents and prosecutors trying to doing their jobs against Muslim terrorists and other criminals.

Now, we see the fruits of this absurd ‘outreach.’ The entire U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan has recused itself from the case against Iraqi spy Muthanna Al-Hanooti, indicted on Wednesday. The case must be tried by lawyers from Washington, who will have to fly in, eat out at nice restaurants, and stay at nice hotels . . . courtesy of the taxpayers.

murphyhamadjassem3.jpg
U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy with LIFE Officials Khalil Jassem (left), Ihsan Al-Khatib (far right) & ‘Former’ Terrorist Imad Hamad (Murphy’s left)

collinsliferd.jpg
Then-US Attorney Jeffrey Collins (center) w/Saddam Spy/Indictee Muthanna Al-Hanooti, Imad Hamad, unidentified person, and LIFE Official, Mohammed Alomari

That’s because Al-Hanooti was a regular participant in the ‘Bridges’ meetings with the feds, including U.S. Attorney Murphy, a Bush nominee for the Federal Court of Appeals. He was regularly feted by Murphy and his minions, who all sucked up to him. Same goes for his predecessor, U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Collins. Check out the pictures below of Collins with Al-Hanooti and Murphy wil Al-Hanooti’s boss Khalil Jassemm and other officials of the Saddam-allied charity Hanooti worked for, LIFE For Relief and Development.

And yet, a day after his indictment, the meetings with Al-Hanooti’s partners in crime, Imad Hamad, Mohammed Alomari, and other such malefactors continued, yesterday–even though it is well-known that Hamad and Alomari conspired with Al-Hanooti in much of his illicit activity:

The Dearborn Heights man accused of working for Iraqi intelligence was released from custody Thursday as Arab-American and Muslim community leaders met with federal law enforcement officials to discuss his case. . . .

About 50 people attended the meeting Thursday; half were federal officials from the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies; the others were Arab-American and Muslim leaders.

FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Bill Kowalski said the meeting was ‘part of our efforts to continue an open dialogue with the community.’

Yes, to continue an open dialogue with Islamic terrorists and their enablers. This is the same Agent Kowalski who admitted to a Michigan reporter that he sent his ‘B Team’ of terrorism agents to investigate the cellphone-purchasing Palestinians in central Michigan in 2006, because he wanted the case to go away. The local prosecutor said that Kowalski botched and sabotaged the case, despite hard evidence that the cellphone purchasers had planned a terrorist attack on Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge, including ‘tourist’ photos of the bridges grates and supports.

Yup, that’s Islamic ‘outreach’–federal law enforcement officials sacrificing your national security for their ability to avoid the loud whines of Muslims. What wimps.

In 2003, at a Town Hall meeting Collins held to get good PR for himself (most of the audience was made up of Assistant U.S. Attorneys who were required to attend and ask softball questions), I asked Collins why he hung out with Al-Hanooti and others at LIFE For Relief and Development. He (and his minions) glared at me and responded that this was ‘the gold standard of outreach.’

More like the Fool’s Gold standard. And because he and Stephen Murphy III regularly met with and ate meals together with Muthanna Al-Hanooti, your tax dollars must now pay for the boys from Washington to come up here to try the case. And they generally lose.

Good luck, America. I won’t wish Muthanna Al-Hanooti luck because a) he doesn’t deserve it–he’s a traitorous scumbag, and b) he doesn’t need it–the feds are inept and will likely lose the case against him, the way they usually do.

Ask yourself and your President why he would nominate to the Federal Court of Appeals–the second highest court in the land–Stephen Murphy III, a man who was so tight with a spy for Saddam Hussein, that he must now recuse himself and his entire office from trying the case against that spy.

And ask yourself and your President why outreach to Islamic terrorism supporters and extremists is so much more important than Justice for Americans in the scheme of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Muhammad Was MESHUGGA

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

More great stuff from a Yid with a lid for you to read when I take a break for shabbat

Muhammad Was MESHUGGA: “Many people know about the great Religious Scholar and Physician to the court of the King of Egypt Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (RAMBAM). The Rambam left us with a lot more than Talmud. He left us with sage advice on keeping our bodies healthy (take a good poo every day-I’m not kidding) and he gave us the best explanation of Muslim Anti-Semitism I have EVER heard ‘Muhammad was CRAZY-nuts’ or something to that effect. You would have to agree that anyone that slaughtered 24,000+ people as the Islamic prophet did, has to be a bit off their rocker.

In the piece below, Andrew Bostom uses verses from the Koran and other historic sources to expound on Muhammad the Mass-Murderer and Anti-Semite and how that helped fuel the Muslim Anti-Semitism of today:

In Muhammad’s Spittin’ Image

By Andrew G. Bostom
FrontPageMagazine.com | 3/28/2008

The indispensable MEMRI recently provided further evidence from the core Muslim texts (the Koran, as well as the hadith and sira), as cited by Hamas cleric Wael Al-Zarad, of Islam’s ‘sacralized philosemitism.’ Obviously a conservationist mindful of the scarcity of water in the Levant, Al-Zarad has also concocted his own unique variant on an earlier theme of Jew annihilation from that paragon of modern Islamic revival, and its ‘longstanding philosemitic tradition,’ Ayatollah Khomeini.

In an address to the Syrian foreign minister after the 1979 Iranian ‘Revolution’ Khomeini proclaimed ‘If Muslims got together and each poured one bucket of water on Israel, a flood would wash away Israel.’ An innovative water conservationist, Palestinian cleric Al-Zarad, during a TV program which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on February 28, 2008, intoned, lovingly:

By Allah, if each and every Arab spat on them, they would drown in Arab spit. By Allah, if each and every Muslim spat on them, they would drown in saliva.

Wael Al-Zarad’s seemingly hallucinatory statement also included this allegation,

From the dome of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, they proclaim that Ezra the Scribe is the son of God.

The reference to Ezra is actually a false, intentionally defamatory Koranic accusation (Koran 9:30) against Jews, citing a claim which Jews, in fact, have never made.

But the crux of Al-Zarad’s remarks explained that the Muslims’ blood vengeance against the Jews, ‘will only subside with their annihilation, Allah willing, because they tried to kill our Prophet several times.’

These allegations are part of a central antisemitic motif in the Koran which decrees an eternal curse upon the Jews (Koran 2:61/ 3:112) for slaying the prophets and transgressing against the will of Allah. This motif is coupled to Koranic verses 5:60 and 5:78 which describe the Jews transformation into apes and swine (5:60), or simply apes, (i.e. verses 2:65 and 7:166), having been ‘…cursed by the tongue of David, and Jesus, Mary’s son’ (5:78). The related verse, 5:64, accuses the Jews—as Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas did in a January 2007 speech, citing Koran 5:64—of being ‘spreaders of war and corruption,’ a sort of ancient Koranic antecedent of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

The Koranic curse (verses 2:61/3:112) upon the Jews for (primarily) rejecting, even slaying Allah’s prophets, including Isa/Jesus (or at least his ‘body double’ 4:1574:158), is updated with perfect archetypal logic in the canonical hadith for example here, and here): following the Muslims’ initial conquest of the Jewish farming oasis of Khaybar, one of the vanquished Jewesses reportedly served Muhammad poisoned mutton (or goat), which resulted, ultimately, in his protracted, agonizing death. And Ibn Saad’s sira account maintains that Muhammad’s poisoning resulted from a well-coordinated Jewish conspiracy.

The Jews discussed about poisons and became united in one poison. She [a Khaybar Jewess, Zaynab Bint al-Harith] poisoned the goat putting more poison in the forelegs…The Apostle of Allah took the foreleg, a piece of which he put into his mouth…The Apostle of Allah sent for Zaynab Bint al-Harith [and]…handed her over to the heirs of Bishr Ibn al-Barra [who the Jewess had also poisoned, leading to his rapid death] who put her to death. This is the approved version [emphasis added]…The Apostle of Allah lived after this three years, till in consequence of his pain he passed away. During his illness he used to say: I did not cease to find the effect of the poisoned morsel I took at Khaybar…

It is worth recounting—as depicted in the Muslim sources—the events that antedated Muhammad’s reputed poisoning at Khaybar.

Muhammad’s failures or incomplete successes were consistently recompensed by murderous attacks on the Jews. The Muslim prophet-warrior developed a penchant for assassinating individual Jews, and destroying Jewish communities—by expropriation and expulsion (Banu Quaynuqa and Nadir), or massacring their men, and enslaving their women and children (Banu Qurayza). Just before subduing the Medinan Jewish tribe Banu Qurayza and orchestrating the mass execution of their adult males, Muhammad invoked perhaps the most striking Koranic motif for the Jews debasement—he addressed these Jews, with hateful disparagement, as ‘You brothers of monkeys.’ Subsequently, in the case of the Khaybar Jews, Muhammad had the male leadership killed, and plundered their riches. The terrorized Khaybar survivors—industrious Jewish farmers—became prototype subjugated dhimmis whose productivity was extracted by the Muslims as a form of permanent booty. (And according to the Muslim sources, even this tenuous vassalage was arbitrarily terminated within a decade of Muhammad’s death when Caliph Umar expelled the Jews of Khaybar.)

Thus Maimonides (d. 1203), the renowned Talmudist, philosopher, astronomer, and physician, as noted by historian Salo Baron (from Baron’s essay entitled, ‘The Historical Outlook of Maimonides,’ in Proc of the Amer Acad for Jewish Res, vol. 6, 1934-35, p. 82), emphasizes the bellicose ‘madness’ of Muhammad, and his quest for political control. Muhammad’s mindset, and the actions it engendered, had immediate, and long term tragic consequences for Jews—from his massacring up to 24,000 Jews, to their chronic oppression—as described in the Islamic sources, by Muslims themselves:

Following an apparently prevalent usage [Maimonides] calls the founder of Islam a ‘madman,’ [meshugga] with both religious and political aspirations, who failed to formulate any new religious ideas, but merely re-stated well-known concepts. Nevertheless, he attracted a large following and inflicted many wrongs upon the Jews, being himself responsible for the massacre of 24,000. Following his example the Muslims of the subsequent generations oppressed the Jews and debased them even more harshly than any other nation.

Muhammad’s brutal conquest and subjugation of the Medinan and Khaybar Jews, and their subsequent expulsion by one of his companions, the (second) ‘Rightly Guided’ Caliph Umar, epitomize permanent, archetypal behavior patterns Islamic Law deemed appropriate to Muslim interactions with Jews. George Vajda’s seminal analysis of the anti-Jewish motifs in the hadith remains the definitive work on this subject. Vajda concluded that according to the hadith stubborn malevolence is the Jews defining worldly characteristic: rejecting Muhammad and refusing to convert to Islam out of jealousy, envy and even selfish personal interest, lead them to acts of treachery, in keeping with their inveterate nature: ‘…sorcery, poisoning, assassination held no scruples for them.’ These archetypes sanction Muslim hatred towards the Jews, and the admonition to at best, ‘subject [the Jews] to Muslim domination,’ as dhimmis, treated ‘with contempt,’ under certain ‘humiliating arrangements.’

When the Jews were perceived as having exceeded the rightful bounds of this subjected relationship, as in mythically ‘tolerant’ Muslim Spain, the results were predictably tragic. The Granadan Jewish viziers Samuel Ibn Naghrela, and his son Joseph, who protected the Jewish community, were both assassinated between 1056 to 1066, and in the aftermath, the Jewish population was annihilated by the local Muslims. It is estimated that up to four thousand Jews perished in the pogrom by Muslims that accompanied the 1066 assassination. This figure equals or exceeds the number of Jews reportedly killed by the Crusaders during their pillage of the Rhineland, some thirty years later, at the outset of the First Crusade. The inciting ‘rationale’ for this Granadan pogrom is made clear in the bitter anti-Jewish ode of Abu Ishaq, a well-known Muslim jurist and poet of the times, who wrote:

Bring them down to their place and return them to the most abject station. They used to roam around us in tatters covered with contempt, humiliation, and scorn. They used to rummage amongst the dung heaps for a bit of a filthy rag to serve as a shroud for a man to be buried in…Do not consider that killing them is treachery. Nay, it would be treachery to leave them scoffing.[The translator then summarizes, appropriately: ‘The Jews have broken their covenant (i.e., overstepped their station, with reference to the Covenant of Umar) and compunction would be out of place.’]

The Moroccan cleric al-Maghili (d. 1505), referring to the Jews as ‘brothers of apes’ (just as Muhammad, the sacralized prototype, had addressed the Banu Qurayza), who repeatedly blasphemed the Muslim prophet, and whose overall conduct reflected their hatred of Muslims, fomented, and then personally lead, a Muslim pogrom (in ~ 1490) against the Jews of the southern Moroccan oasis of Touat, plundering and killing them en masse, and destroying their synagogue in neighboring Tamantit. An important Muslim theologian whose writings influenced Moroccan religious attitudes towards Jews into the 20th century, al-Maghili also declared in verse, ‘Love of the Prophet, requires hatred of the Jews.’

The annihilationist sentiments regarding Jews, as expressed by Hamas cleric al-Zarad, and incorporated permanently into the foundational 1988 Hamas Charter, are also rooted in Islamic eschatology. As characterized in the hadith, Muslim eschatology highlights the Jews’ supreme hostility to Islam. Jews are described as adherents of the Dajjâl—the Muslim equivalent of the Anti-Christ—or according to another tradition, the Dajjâl is himself Jewish. At his appearance, other traditions maintain that the Dajjâl will be accompanied by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan wrapped in their robes, and armed with polished sabers, their heads covered with a sort of veil. When the Dajjâl is defeated, his Jewish companions will be slaughtered— everything will deliver them up except for the so-called gharkad tree, as per the canonical hadith included in the 1988 Hamas Charter (in article 7). Another hadith variant, which takes place in Jerusalem, has Isa (the Muslim Jesus) leading the Arabs in a rout of the Dajjâl and his company of 70,000 armed Jews. And the notion of jihad ‘ransom’ extends even into Islamic eschatology—on the day of resurrection the vanquished Jews will be consigned to Hellfire, and this will expiate Muslims who have sinned, sparing them from this fate.

The rise of Jewish nationalism—Zionism—posed a predictable, if completely unacceptable challenge to the Islamic order—jihad-imposed chronic dhimmitude for Jews—of apocalyptic magnitude. As Bat Ye’or has explained,

…because divine will dooms Jews to wandering and misery, the Jewish state appears to Muslims as an unbearable affront and a sin against Allah. Therefore it must be destroyed by Jihad.

Historian Saul S. Friedman, also citing the emergence of Zionism (as an ideology anathema to the Islamic system of dhimmitude for Jews), concluded that this modern movement, and the creation of the Jewish State of Israel has, not surprisingly, unleashed a torrent of annihilationist Islamic antisemitism, ‘the brew of thirteen centuries of intolerance’:

Since 1896, the development of modern, political Zionism has placed new tension on, and even destroyed, the traditional master-serf relationship that existed between Arab and Jew in the Middle East. An Arab world that could not tolerate the presence of a single, ‘arrogant’ Jewish vizier in its history was now confronted by a modern state staffed with self-confident Jewish ministers.

This is exactly the Islamic context in which the widespread, ‘resurgent’ use of Jew annihilationist apocalyptic motifs—exemplified by the Hamas charter, and the utterances, most recently by Wael al-Zarad—would be an anticipated, even commonplace occurrence.

The uncomfortable examination of Islamic doctrines and history is required in order to understand the enduring phenomenon of Muslim Jew hatred, which dates back to the origins of Islam. We can no longer view Muslim Jew hatred—including annihilationist strains of this apocalyptic hatred—as a ‘borrowed phenomenon’, seen primarily, let alone exclusively, through the prism of Nazism and the Holocaust, the tragic legacy of Judeophobic Christian traditions, or ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ from Czarist Russia.

Wael al Zarad’s case illustrates the prevalence and depth of sacralized, ‘normative’ Jew hatred in the contemporary Muslim world. Even if all non-Muslim Judeophobic themes were to disappear miraculously overnight from the Islamic world, the living legacy of anti-Jewish hatred, and violence rooted in Islam’s sacred texts—Koran, hadith, and sira—would remain intact. The assessment and understanding of Islamic antisemitism must begin with an unapologetic analysis of the anti-Jewish motifs contained in these foundational texts of Islam.

Sadly, at present, such understanding by contemporary ‘intellectual elites,’ particularly Jews themselves, amounts to little more than spit in a veritable living ocean of doctrinal, and historical Jew hatred.

Washington Post Says Only a Muslim Can Report on Muslims

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

More great stuff from a Yid with a lid for you to read when I take a break for shabbat

Washington Post Says Only a Muslim Can Report on Muslims: “
According to Washington Post Managing Editor Philip Bennett, ‘Media to blame for Islamic misconceptions; the near-absence of Muslim voice in newsrooms, poor translations contribute to lack of understanding. You see only a Muslim report on Muslim Issues. I guess with that attitude, all of their Israel reporters MUST be Jewish, only Actors can write movie reviews, and that story about the additions to the Washington Zoo—-well you know. Read the entire CAMERA report below:

WASHINGTON POST-WATCH: Managing Editor ‘Wants More Muslim Readers, Journalists’

Confused about the purpose of a daily newspaper, pandering to a potential audience, or unable to face — and therefore unable to accurately report on — Islamic extremism? Washington Post Managing Editor Philip Bennett, number three on the editorial side after Publisher Katharine Weymouth and Executive Editor Leonard Downie, Jr., gave a talk at the University of California – Irvine on March 3 that seemed to exhibit all three characteristics.

The Daily Pilot, of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, Calif. headlined its coverage of Bennett’s talk this way:

‘Media to blame for Islamic misconceptions; Washington Post editor says near-absence of Muslim voice in newsrooms, poor translations contribute to lack of understanding.’

Bennett, in a talk about the difficulties of covering the religion, said that reporters often struggle with understanding Islam. ‘To illustrate this point,’ The Daily Pilot reported, ‘he drew mainly from quotes of notable colleagues and statistical polls, rarely giving his own opinion directly.

”Six of 10 Americans, according to a 2007 ABC poll, don’t understand the basic tenets of Islam,’ Bennett said. He attributed this to the lack of Muslims working in American newsrooms.

”At The Post I want more Muslim readers and I want more Muslim journalists,’ he said.’

Further, ‘words poorly translated from Arabic to English are a big source of confusion caused by the lack of Muslim voices in the American media, according to Bennet.’

The Daily Pilot added that ‘one such word that has been contentiously debated in newsrooms is ‘Islamist,’ which generally refers to a political movement government by Islamic law. Bennett said at The Washington Post editors still have not decided whether to add it to their style book. Some argue the word is a useful distinction for movements like Hamas and Hezbollah, but other at The Post argue that it is too vague ….’

‘Bennett said that in the period following 9/11 there was a lot of uninformed writing about Islam, and that ‘the best journalism fought against the tide of public perception.”

This account of Bennett’s talk raises serious questions.

1) It is the role of the ethnic or specialty press, not a major daily newspaper, to seek readers and journalists from one particular group. Bennett should not specifically want more Jewish readers or reporters — the Washington Jewish Week serves those with a special interest in Jewish news. More black subscribers and writers? The Washington Afro-American helps fill that niche. More gay readers and reporters? The Washington Blade serves that market. It is not The Post’s job to focus on any ’boutique readerships,’ including Muslims. And the claim that Muslims are needed to best cover Islam is as unprofessional as the assertion that only women should report on other women, or that news about Catholics, blacks, Jews or any other group must be reported by someone from the minority in question.

It is a primary purpose of general interest dailies, especially large ones like The Post, to report the news of the day regardless of its religious, ethnic, gender or other minority/special interest roots. In fact, in getting the story comprehensively, in context, for the body politic, a major daily better be transcending those roots if its reports are to be news and not special pleading. This distinction used to be taught in journalism schools, before the rise of victim group politics under the guise of multi-culturalism.

2) ‘Words poorly translated from Arabic to English are a big source of confusion caused by the lack of Muslim voices in the American media.’ Please. If most Americans did not know that jihad was Arabic for the Islamic concept of ‘holy war,’ al Qaeda’s Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and attempted assault on the U.S. Capitol – with the mass murders of 3,000 people – taught them.

Yes, jihad can also mean the ‘internal struggle’ for self-mastery and religious purity, but that’s not why Egyptian Islamic Jihad (which was one of the groups that morphed into al Qaeda) and Palestinian Islamic Jihad use the word as part of their names. It’s not why the Jamaiah al-Islamiyah al-Musallaha, Algeria‘s bloody Armed Islamic Group, declared a jihad on French territory in 1999, and so on. Americans understand the contemporary ‘external struggle’ meaning of jihad, as used by Muslim extremists — a worldwide struggle against religious pluralism and equality — quite well, regardless of Bennett’s own confusion.

3) Six and a-half years after 9/11 and Washington Post editors are still debating whether to add the word ‘Islamist’ to their stylebook? Well, it is a bit awkward and somewhat academic. It is not as precise — for the general public if not Post editors — as jihad, jihadist, and jihadi. But since The Post rarely if ever uses, in its own voice, the more recognizable if broad terms Islamo-fascist, Islamic imperialist or Islamic supremacist, it should suffice.

EyeOnThePost.com pointed out that Daniel Pipes, a scholar on Islam and early student of contemporary Islamic fundamentalism, said (http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/826), ‘it’s all very well for Bennett to sniff patronizingly at the knowledge of Islam among average Americans, but I am impressed with their learning curve since 9/11 as well as their common sense. Far less impressive to me is a group of sophisticated editors that cannot even, after all these years, decide to use the word Islamist. Someone has a problem understanding Islam, but it’s Philip Bennett, not his readers.’

4) Bennett said that following 9/11 there was a lot of uninformed writing about Islam, and ‘the best journalism fought against the tide of public perception.’ This is breathtakingly self-absorbed and self-exculpating.

Perhaps the second biggest post-World War II international news story (after the deterioration and eventual collapse of the Soviet Union and its Eastern European empire), has been the rise and spread of Islamic extremism. It was missed by major Western news media, just as they missed the Cold War-induced Soviet implosion. The dots were there but the media — like the intelligence agencies they criticized ex post facto — failed to connect them. Beginning with the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and coming to power of Ayatollah Khomeini, and including the assassination of Anwar Sadat, growth of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian Islamic extremism, the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan and al Qaeda, the evidence of a new, worldwide ideological threat, call it Islamism or Islamic imperialism, was there. But the media unilluminatingly reported a series of isolated developments, not a dangerous, variegated movement.

There was a lot of uninformed writing about Islam after 9/11, much of it in major dailies. Journals of opinion, including The New Republic and National Review, did better.

The University of California-Irvine talk was not the first time Bennett opened a window on his own thinking, if not that of The Post. In a 2005 interview with the Chinese Communist Party’s People’s Daily, Bennett reportedly said that ‘the world has gone through colonialism and imperialism. We have seen the danger and shortcomings of those systems. If we are heading into another period of imperialism where the U.S. thinks itself as the leader of the area and its interest should prevail over all other interests of its neighbors and others, then I think the world will be in an unhappy period.’

He also was quoted as saying that The Post never characterizes China as a dictatorship. ‘We don’t use these words on the paper anymore,’ he said. ‘Now we say China is a Communist country only because it is a fact. China is ruled by the Communist Party.’

In fact, at the time of the interview, The Post had referred, accurately, to China‘s often brutal, militarized, one-party Communist regime as a dictatorship. And its editorials were not proposing that some other country, say the United Kingdom or France, try to take the lead from America in preserving and, if possible, extending, democracy internationally.

But it’s not surprising that an editor uncomfortable identifying China as a communist dictatorship might have problems accurately identifying Islamists and jihadists, and be in denial about the scope and newsworthiness of Islamic extremism, and the role his newspaper should play in covering it.

Be like the terrorists

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

This is from

Samson Blinded: I don’t know if I completely agree with it but it is very thought provoking and it provides an interesting read.

Be like the terrorists: “

The one thing I detest more than liberal ‘rabbis’ is racist Jews who speak of vile, underhuman Arabs. On the contrary, Arabs are normal, and in many political and moral respects remind us of how the Jews should behave.

Take Arab rocket attacks on Israel. Few Jews are so contemptuous of Arabs to imagine them stupid to the extent of not recognizing economic benefits of stopping the attacks. Israel would open some crossings, allow some migrant laborers from Gaza, and international aid will increase. The Arabs can get still more aid by ousting Hamas, whose forces constitute, at most, 2% of Gaza’s population. In the place where firearms are abundant, Arabs would have no trouble dethroning Hamas. Gazans are not afraid of Hamas: the people who live for generations in squalid refugee camps under Egyptian, then Israeli oppression, who are used to artillery fire at night, are not afraid of anything. Individual Arabs, yes, they crack easily under interrogation, but Arab masses are fearless.

The only reason that Gazans support the militant factions and withstand Israeli retaliation is the noble feeling of immense hatred to the enemy. They can live peacefully in refugee camps on the UN handouts, but they are willing to suffer in order to return what they consider their homeland, and what is now called, Israel. Gazans did not come from the West Bank; they came from the ‘core’ Jewish cities from Haifa to Jaffa. This is the land which they fight to get back. They don’t fight for Schem or Hebron: those cities are already in Arab hands. They want what the Israelis think is core Israel. And if they cannot get the land now, at least they will continue pounding the Zionist enemy until he gives up.

It might be that the Arabs’ calculations are right. By any measure, Haifa and Jaffa are not Jewish cities; Jews controlled those territories in antiquity only for a very short time. By any measure, Schem and Hebron are Jewish towns: we bought them, conquered them, settled them, had them as our major cities, and have the full-fledged religious right to them. If, therefore, Jews abandoned Schem and Hebron, the Arabs find it completely plausible that Zionists will eventually abandon Haifa and Jaffa. And they are right, Jews keep abandoning those places: Akko is now an Arab town, and Jaffa becomes the one.

So when Gazans shell Israel, they act neither cowardly, nor stupidly, but bravely, shrewdly, and – from their point of view – righteously.

Likewise, Israeli Arabs refuse to integrate, assimilate into the Israeli identity which is so much economically beneficial for them. First, Jews must be eternally grateful to them for doing so. Imagine if Israeli Muslims started acting as good Israelis: learned Hebrew, served in the army, and became nice to Jews. The next thing we would see will be a wave of Jewish assimilation, Jewish women converting to Islam to marry those nice, unobjectionable Arabs. The Arab hostility reminds Jews that something has to be done about the swelling numbers of Israeli Arabs; nice Arabs would be accepted as legitimate voters, breed up to majority, and vote the Jewish state out of existence.

Israeli Arabs refuse assimilating in return for economic benefits. Wait, that’s what the Jews praise themselves with. The good Jews abandon the safety and economic advantages of America and move to Israel. Arabs are smart and rational, or call them cynical: they accept economic benefits from Jews, but refuse to integrate into the Jewish society. Some youngsters are even willing to fight the Jews instead of accepting economic benefits from them, such as higher education; others accept the almost-free education, and then work to subvert the Jewish state by building a parallel Arab society, donating to Islamic charities, and showing solidarity with their Palestinian brethren in the ‘occupied’ territories. In the meantime, Israeli Arabs work to take over Israel by rationally exploiting her democracy, by the mere act of breeding. Sex for them is a political affair. Arabs accept temporary dhimmitude, but lose no chance to further their comeback as the sovereign nation in Palestine.

Arabs don’t want the coexistence with Jews, and wait patiently for the moment when they can drown some Jews and drive away the rest. That is how normal people behave when someone takes over the land they consider theirs. That is why the Torah commands the Jews to fight the natives of Canaan and drive them away, for they would always remember that the land was theirs, and their hostility to Jews will be implacable. Arabs want to drive the Jews away: Arabs resisted the Jews fleeing to Palestine from burning Europe; America and Britain resisted Jewish flight, too. That’s exactly what Jews are commanded to do with respect to Arabs: ‘For I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will expel them’ (Exodus 23:31).

Jews love to assert that Arabs claim more land that they actually need or have ever settled, that Jews worked the plains which were no-man’s land. But Jews were commanded to conquer the land from the Red Sea to Mediterranean, and from Nile to Euphrates; that’s also a land that Jews have never settled, and cannot settle with meaningful density. National sovereignty over the land has nothing to do with actually settling it: look at Chinese Himalayas or Russian sub-Arctic.

Arabs are religiously intolerant, they protest when Jews worship at the Temple Mount. If only the Arab example rang a bell in Jews’ minds: ‘You shall destroy, destroy their deities and break, break their monuments’ (Exodus 23:24). Every rabbi with the least trace of honesty would concur that cleansing the Temple Mount from Islamic structures is an immensely important commandment, and every minute of procrastinating in doing so is a grave sin. God granted us a miraculous victory in 1967 for a reason, and what reason can we imagine behind giving Jews sovereignty over the Temple Mount? That’s, of course, if you believe that there is God; for those who evolved from monkeys the implications might be different.

Muslims exert horrendous religious punishments. Saudis sentence rape victims to capital punishment and ban every other religion from their country; Iranians stone adulterers. Liberal Jews have long forgotten their own punishments – which are exactly the same for the very same crimes. But Jews prefer tourism’ income to religious purity, and porn industry tax revenues to morality.
Arabs teach their children violence; at the age of eight, they slaughter sheep. At the age of three, good religious Jewish children start learning the Torah from Leviticus, the section that details sacrifices. Liberal Jews assert that Judaism is non-violent; reading the Torah might change their opinion. The God who told us to slaughter Amalek babies and priests of Baal during their worship, who killed the Egyptian firstborn and ordered us to bring numerous gruesome animal sacrifices, God of the Deluge, pogroms, and Holocaust – he is not a merciful liberal ‘spirit which is in man.’

Arabs are terrorists. But when Arabs kill Jewish civilians, they act normally – as any normal person does to his hated enemy. Jewish civilians serve in the army, pay taxes which support the army, vote for the governments which keep the territories under ‘occupation,’ and send their sons and daughters to fight the Arabs. Palestinian terrorists don’t seek annihilating the Jews; that’s a task for Arab mobs and armies. The terrorists seek rational political ends, and employ violence only to achieve those ends; such violence is very economical by the standards of warfare. Such violence is extremely efficient in political terms: polls show Israeli support for Palestinian statehood growing after major terrorist acts.

Jewish partisans in Europe during WWII also employed terrorist tactics, and so did ETZEL and LEHI. Forget the fringes; it was the Haganah that carried out Dir Yassin and Kfar Kassem. Israeli army routinely shot POWs in 1967 and more rarely in 1973, and crushed them flat with tank tracks. When given a minimally free hand, IAF bombed Lebanese and Gazan towns with no compunction. Indeed, what compunction could be there to an enemy? The British – the world’s utmost liberals – exhibited a very limited compassion to Dresdners whose women, children, and the old they burned in incendiary raids, hurrah. Jews have a divine guideline in dealing with our sworn enemies, ‘Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey’ (1 Samuel 15:3). God severely punished Saul for merely killing women and children, but not animals. David, likewise but for a different reason, killed all the inhabitants but not animals. You may not like it, but that is Judaism. If you want to be nice, join Tibetan monks; they are not nice, either.

Arabs are suicidal, they send their children to suicide bombings. And Jews were sending their children to senseless risk in Beirut for eighteen years. Arabs, at least, sacrifice their children for political ends; not so the Jews who during the Second Intifada feared for their children day and night but did nothing to stop the Arabs from killing them. No grieving Jewish parent went to Ramallah and blew himself in an Arab bus; a shame. Arabs sacrifice their children for what to them is a noble aim of fighting the Zionist enemy; Jews sacrificed their children to Shimon Peres, the idol of Rabin and his peace process. In the Book of Maccabees, Hannah urges her seven sons to suffer horrible death at the hands of liberal Jews and their Greek masters rather than ‘merely’ eat non-kosher meat. That’s a Jewish mother, that’s Judaism. Compare to Tel Aviv restaurants serving pork.

Of course, Islam is a perversion. Of course, Arabs are wild, primitive, and make worse neighbors than Anthrax bacteria. Of course, the country is ours and we must cleanse it from Arabs by whatever means necessary. But the Arab example offers Jews a valuable insight into what the ‘normalcy’ really is.

Fitna release roundup

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

This is a great round up of opinions on Finta the movie from the blog Islam in Europe.

Fitna release roundup: “There’s a lot of news about Fitna. I think it’s amazing that so many people bother to write about this movie that it’s ‘nothing new’ or ‘nothing much’. It might be, btw, but I can’t think of so many other ‘so-so’ movies which got so much attention.

I’ll give here a quick summary. I’m sure there will be more and more news throughout the day, as every politician, statesman and men on the street feels he must voice his opinion.

General

* Netherlands was mostly calm Thursday night. Wilders is still in the Netherlands. Police did close off Parliament and the Binnenhof. In the Hague a handful of demonstrators held up a sign ‘Wilders is a Zionist’ for about 15 minutes.

* There are quite a few discussions about whether the movie is insulting to Muslims or not. My answer: Don’t expect logic on this.

The Movie

* In the Netherlands, at least one news site is showing the film (Dutch version of course). quite a few sites worldwide are showing pictures of the film. DR, the Danish public broadcaster, says they don’t intend to show any pictures at all at the moment.

* Fitna can also be seen here: (thanks to Klein Verzet and fdesouche): Alain Jean-Mairet’s blog (dedicated server), Jihad Watch, themoviefitna.com, Google Video, Daily Motion, uTorrent(Both NL and EN version), Download of FLV format, Rapidshare (download). It’s also available on YouTube, though they seem to be having broadcasting problems.

Complaints

* The Dutch public prosecution will check whether the movie is against the law.

* Lawyer Els Lucas already lodged a complaint by the police against Wilders. For those who want to complain about the film, several Dutch police districts together with the public prosecution prepared a pre-filled form. You just need to fill in Wilders’ name and the name of the film. (Probably would be useful in the future as well)

* The movie uses a photo of Dutch rapper Salah Edin instead of Mohammed Bouyeri. The rapper is considering complaining. The photo, where he poses as a radical Muslim, had appeared on the news before in place of Bouyeri’s.

* Kurt Westergaard is upset at the use of his Mohammed cartoon in the film. He says it was taken out of context and he wants it removed from the movie. As a side note: he was also upset when SIAD (Stop the Islamization of Denmark) used his cartoon in a protest. He did not yet lodge a complaint against the Muslims who used his cartoon in their protests.

Dutch non-Muslim reactions

* The prime minister said the government distances itself from the film and that he regrets it was released. (video here in English, together with a small anti-Wilders protest and the head of the Intercultural Center in the Netherlands.)

* Political reactions range from ‘it’s nothing new’ to ‘Wilders’ is showing all Muslims as terrorists’ to ‘Wilders doesn’t offer a solution’.

* The ministers of Integration and Justice will speak with Muslim and minority delegations today.

* The Dutch minister of the economy finished her trip to Turkey today. Not a word about Wilders from her hosts. Turkish lack of freedom of speech was not discussed either.

* The Protestant Church: The movie is not a true picture of Muslims. The Secretary General is currently in Cairo with a delegation of Dutch Muslims and Christian clergy to discuss the movie.

* The Council of Churches rejects the caricature of Islam as portrayed in the movie.

* Amsterdam Mayor: The film shows images from the news. As long as the film shows facts we won’t fight it, but it doesn’t depict Muslims, only the extremes.

Dutch Muslim reactions

* The National Council of Moroccans say they’re very relieved by the movie and that it’s due to the efforts of the Dutch government.

* Most Dutch imams interviewed said they did not see the film and did not want to talk about it. Several people interviewed complained that Wilders can insult Islam and other religions are protected. One said the Koran has been attacked since it was published and that the Koran and Islam are strong enough to withstand this.

* Some Dutch mosques opened their doors Friday for people who want to see and discuss things.

* Even before the movie was out, the importer of a special Koran MP3-player said that he was doing extremely good business, selling ten times as many as before talk started of the movie.

Other reactions

* Several Belgian Muslim organizations condemned the movie, saying it will cause a wave of Islamophobia. They say it has nothing to do with freedom of speech and call on Belgian politicians to condemn it.

* Danish Mostafa Chendid, head of the Islamic Society wasn’t impressed with the film, saying you can find gorier video on YouTube. He says he can make a similar film with what Sharon said and dead children from Gaza.

* Danish Naser Khader, head of the Ny Alliance party says there’s nothing new in the film. What Wilders shows is true, but it’s the opinion of the extremists he’s been fighting for 15 years.

* Norwegian Basim Ghozlan of the Islamic Association thinks the movie is extreme and so is displaying it. He says Wilders wants to cause confrontation in society, but that the best reaction is to ignore him.

* Danish political reactions: The Social Democrats say the movie is like Nazi propaganda. Danish People’s Party says there’s hysteria about the movie and that they think the discussion is necessary.

* A Lebanese site showed the film yesterday, and by 9pm (about an hour later) was seen 410,000 times.

Exposing of CAIR Part 4 CAIR Remains Apologist for Terrorist Hamas, Seeks To Silence Critics

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

here is Steven Emerson part 4 on his exposing of CAIR

CAIR Remains Apologist for Terrorist Hamas, Seeks To Silence Critics: “Steven Emerson
IPT News
March 27, 2008
http://www.investigativeproject.org/article/627

(note: The complete fourth installment in our series on CAIR can be found here: http://www.investigativeproject.org/documents/misc/113.pdf)

To say that The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has contorted logic and language to avoid criticizing its early patron, the terrorist group Hamas, would be damning enough. But the full truth is even worse: CAIR and its leaders have, over the years, actively supported Hamas positions and regularly done their best to discredit critics of militant Islamic activity.

Those ties with Hamas are at the center of today’s installment in our examination of CAIR’s history and activities.

– CAIR’s incorporator and current executive director, Nihad Awad, stated his position unequivocally in a 1994 symposium at Barry University in Florida. ‘I am in support of the Hamas movement,’ he declared.

Awad also echoed Hamas’ absolute rejection of Israel’s right to exist, writing later that year to the American Muslim publication, The Messenger , that he hoped its use of the word ‘Israel’ in an article had been ‘the result of an oversight’ and that the magazine would ‘return to the terminology ‘Occupied Palestine’ to refer to that Holy Land.’

– Awad repeatedly has sought to justify his pro-Hamas statements by contending that they came before the group had been designated by the United States government as a terrorist organization. That argument falls apart when one considers a long history of Hamas terrorist acts committed before the 1995 designation — acts that included the stabbing of five people in a Jerusalem market in 1989 and of a Jewish seminary student in 1992, and the bombing of busses in 1993 and 1994, killing 14 and wounding dozens more.

Indeed, U.S. government condemnation had come as early as 1992, when the State Department found ‘various elements of HAMAS have used both political and violent means including terrorism, to pursue the goal of establishing an Islamic Palestinian State in place of Israel…Other elements, operating clandestinely, have advocated and used violence to advance their goals.’

– CAIR questioned the 1995 executive order labeling Hamas as a terrorist group. Said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper: ‘We’ve been fearing something like this for a long time because there have been elements in the pro-Israeli lobby accusing Muslim groups of raising money for these kinds of purposes, with no evidence whatsoever of diversion of funds.’

– Direct statements of support for Hamas continued even after that 1995 designation. Ghazi Khankan, then executive director of CAIR-NY, told an audience at a 2001 event, ‘The people of Hamas who direct their attacks on the Israeli military are in the correct position.’

In Khankan’s mind, legitimate ‘military’ targets included any Israeli past his eighteenth birthday. ‘Anyone [in Israel] over eighteen is automatically inducted into the service and they are all reserves. Therefore, Hamas in my opinion looks at them as part of the military. Those who are below 18 should not be attacked,’ he reasoned.

– The Washington Post reported that Hooper responded to a 2001 Anti-Defamation League request for a statement directly condemning Hamas by saying, ‘It’s not our job to go around denouncing, that when they say jump, we say how high.’

– Asked in a 2003 deposition whether he supported Hamas, Omar Ahmad — a CAIR incorporator — responded, ‘It depends. Qualify ‘support.” Asked whether he had ‘ever taken a position with respect to… [Hamas’] ‘martyrdom attacks,” Ahmad responded, ‘No.’

CAIR seemingly reserves its condemnation for anyone who fails to share its affection for Hamas, or any media outlet that dares refer to militant Islamic activity. For example:

– In 1997, it assailed the U.S. government for failing to investigate and ‘seek justice’ for the death of Ahmed Hamida, an Arab-American terrorist killed by Israeli civilians after deliberately driving his car into a group of Israelis waiting at a Jerusalem bus stop. It described Ahmed as an innocent ‘Palestinian-American Muslim’ — even after Hamas had taken credit for the attack.

– It has condemned as ‘anti-Muslim’ a wide range of publications, including The New Republic, US News & World Report, The Atlantic Monthly (for an article about the militant Islamic rule and oppression in Sudan), The Dallas Morning News (for exposing the Hamas infrastructure in Texas), The Readers Digest (for describing the repression of Christians by Communist regimes and Islamic extremists), The Tampa Tribune (for exposing the Islamic Jihad infrastructure in Tampa), The Weekly Readers Current Events (for featuring a story on international terrorism) and even The Journal of the American Medical Association (for an article about the victims of terrorism).

– It conducted a two-year campaign aimed at Paramount Pictures, ultimately succeeding in having the terrorists in the film, ‘The Sum of All Fears ,’ portrayed as neo-Nazis rather than Arabs as originally intended.

– It attacked columnist Nat Hentoff, a consistent advocate of human rights and free expression, for a pair of columns criticizing Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and others for failing to speak out against slavery in Sudan and Mauritania. Hooper wrote, ‘Perhaps this hesitancy results from a reluctance to indulge in politically and religiously motivated sensationalism that plays on and amplifies existing Islamophobic tendencies in Western society.’

Another Ex-CAIR Official in Legal Trouble
IPT News
March 26, 2008
http://www.investigativeproject.org/article/626

Add the former head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Michigan office to our report on CAIR officials in trouble with the law. In an indictment unsealed Wednesday, Muthanna Al-Hanooti is accused of spying for Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi government. The Detroit Free Press reports that Al-Hanooti is charged with conspiring to work for a foreign government and with making false statements to the FBI.

The indictment involves Al-Hanooti’s work with Life for Relief and Development (LIFE), a Muslim charity that operates in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and the Palestinian territories. According to the Free Press, the indictment alleges ‘Al-Hanooti would travel to Iraq and meet with conspirators of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. The indictment says that Al-Hanooti was rewarded with 2 million barrels of oil for his work.’

According to a Dec. 3, 1999 story in the Arab American News, Al-Hanooti was moving to Washington to work for CAIR. Then, a CAIR press release in June 2000 identified Al-Hanooti as executive director of its new regional office in Michigan. It isn’t clear when he left the organization.

The Detroit News reports Al-Hanooti was arrested at the airport Tuesday night as he returned from a Middle East. A federal judge ordered him to post a $100,000 bond and wear an electronic monitor.

LIFE was founded in 1992 as the International Relief Association (IRA) by Iraqi-Americans ‘in response to the humanitarian crisis that developed in Iraq as a result of the 1991 Gulf War.’ In 1998, IRA changed its name to Life for Relief and Development (LIFE).

Troops of the U.S.-led coalition raided LIFE’s office in Baghdad in June 2004. A coalition spokesman told the San Francisco Chronicle that a ‘cordon and search operation’ had been carried out and that ’12 computers and 20 boxes of files were confiscated.’

Federal agents raided the LIFE office in Southfield, Mich. two years later.

The indictment also alleges that Al-Hanooti gave Iraqi intelligence officials a plan of how to end U.S. economic sanctions against Hussein’s regime. That included names of congressmen who would favor removing the sanctions. In 2002, LIFE provided full financial sponsorship of a congressional delegation, joined by Michigan Democrat David Bonior, which traveled to Iraq to examine the impact of U.S. economic sanctions. Others on the trip included Representatives Jim McDermott of Washington and Mike Thompson of California.

LIFE had generated suspicion among Iraqi expatriates. They have protested outside LIFE’s Michigan office, contending that its leaders were too close to Saddam’s regime. In September 2004, Haider al-Jabori, a Dearborn resident, told The Detroit News, ‘This organization is well-known as a Saddam supporter.’

Hamas asks Arab summit to back armed struggle against Israel

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Israel needs to destroy Hamas before it gets the backing of the whole arab world. I am sure it gets most of there support under the table but I fear it will be more direct soon.

Hamas asks Arab summit to back armed struggle against Israel: “THE JERUSALEM POST
Mar. 28, 2008

Gaza’s Hamas rulers are asking the Arab states to cut ties with Israel, and support Hamas’s armed campaign against it instead.

About 2,000 people were attending a Hamas-organized rally in Gaza, as Arab leaders convened in Damascus ahead of the annual Arab summit.

Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya said Israel would only respond to violence. ‘The Zionist enemy doesn’t have a vision of peace. Only force… fighting and holy war works with [Israel].’ The Saudi-sponsored peace initiative, first floated in 2002, offers Israel peace with all Arab countries in return for withdrawal from all the lands it captured in the Six Day War, the creation of a Palestinian state with a Jerusalem as its capital and a solution to the refugee issue.

Israel has rejected the initiative in the past, but has recently spoken favorably of it.

Mushir al-Masri, another Hamas leader, said the Arab initiative was a ‘burden’ on Palestinians. ‘Hamas is defending the honor and dignity of this nation on the [Arabs] behalf,’ he said.

The rally was peppered with pleas from children for a lifting of the closure imposed on Gaza after Hamas violently seized the territory last summer. ‘Your summit will be useless if you don’t lift the siege on Gaza,’ a young boy screamed into a microphone.

YouTube [Finally] Takes a Stand Against Dhimmitude! – Updated

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

It is about time. It is weird they tried to redact it in the first place. If youtube should redact anything they should remove all the jihadi videos and preachers promoting jihad. You can find thousands of those within minutes. Google should use some of its money to hire more people to take down the jihadi propaganda. I think people that have lost love ones in Iraq or to terrorist attacks should create a class action law suit against google and sue not only for money but for a larger amount of people whose job it would be to screen submissions for terrorist related material. I am sure many innocent people have died due to youtube’s carelessness.

YouTube [Finally] Takes a Stand Against Dhimmitude! – Updated: “

In order to get the new Geert Wilders’ Fitna film the widest possibly audience co-blogger Howie uploaded it to YouTube. Within minutes the Islamists, wishing to silence any criticism of the Quran, started flagging the video. Soon thereafter, sticking with their normal MO, the video was taken down and Darthodeius (known as Howie around the Jawa) received a message saying his account was suspended.

Dear Member:

After being flagged by members of the YouTube community and reviewed by YouTube staff, the video below has been removed due to its inappropriate nature.

Fitna Part II English Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_4oreTDvWM

Due to your repeated attempts to upload inappropriate videos, your account has now been permanently disabled and your videos have been taken down. If you feel your account has been disabled in error, please contact us to explain why.

Please refer to our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and the Help Center for more information on what video material is not permitted on YouTube.

– The YouTube Team But then something–hmmm, shall we say miraculous?–happened. YouTube actually reinstated the video!

Message from YouTube to Darthodieus:

This email is to inform you that a warning notification you may have received regarding content removed from your account was sent in error.

The content has not been removed and your account has not been penalized.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Sincerely,
The YouTube Team Like the velocaraptors from Jurassic Park, they’re learning. I never thought I’d say this, but thank you YouTube!

Update: Co-blogger Bluto also received the nasty-gram and retraction from YouTube. His response is rather less charitable than this one. Bluto has asked YouTube to provide contact info for a YouTube staffer to explain the incident. Don’t hold your breath.

Israel Posts Clips On YouTube of Jerusalem Yeshiva Terrorist Attack

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

I found this on The Jawa Report. WARNING VERY GRAFIC AND DISTURBING IMAGES

Israel Posts Clips On YouTube of Jerusalem Yeshiva Terrorist Attack: “

HAARETZ

The Israeli government recently posted three videos showing images from the terror attack at Jerusalem’s Mercaz Harav Yeshiva earlier this month in which eight students were killed….

While the person named as poster, AtiyaRachel, was not identified as having any connection to the government, TheMarker has learned that the Prime Minister’s Office was actually behind the uploads to the popular video site.

Kudo’s to the Israeli government for doing this. Hamas and other terror groups have propaganda videos of this horrendous act of terror. MSM gave more coverage of the terrorist family than they did to the victims of his attack. One such story was the ‘razing’ of the terrorist family residence. That had never taken place.

American terrorist sympathizer Jewish convert to Islam New Yorker Joseph Cohen aka Yousef al-Khattab has a video ‘celebrating’ the killing of the Yeshiva students. He also has a picture of the bloody Talmud and tagged it ‘funny picture’.

Speaking of Joey please check Vinnie’s post Open Season On Yousef al-Khattab Help is needed to give him a ‘nice’ send off.

Warning, disturbing images.

Iraqis Hope For McCain– Fear Democratic Win in the Fall

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Democrats will not be happy with this news from Gateway Pundit.

Iraqis Hope For McCain– Fear Democratic Win in the Fall: “Kathleen Parker at National Review writes about a close friend in Iraq and the current situation on the ground.
Obviously, with the situation continually improving, despite the gloomy headlines from the corrupt Western press, there is one presidential candidate who Iraqis hope to see in the White House next year:

In June 2006, she wrote: ‘Tell him (Bush) we are ever thankful for his ousting the dictator, but to forget democracy and announce martial laws, and put an end to the blood bath and misery.’

By April 2007, Mayada was critical of the Democrats and their promises to bring the troops home. Should that happen, she wrote, America ‘will leave Iraq in its current devastated state, and who knows what will happen in the area, and everything inside this red-hot region.’

Her contradictory responses to my continuous questions echoed the debate that has divided this country the past five years. A clear answer has never been easy to find.

That is no longer the case, in Mayada’s view. She gives credit to Petraeus, whom she describes as ‘intelligent and calm, set on winning hearts and souls.’

Today she insists that Iraqis who are not Baathist hope that McCain wins the election for one simple reason: ‘The man knows the job that has to be done in Iraq. If the U.S. pulls out of Iraq now or anytime soon, then that will mean one thing: al-Qaeda won the war.’

She points out that for the first time since Iraq’s monarchy was toppled in 1958, the country has a parliament, a free press, jobs, a true identity ‘and a better understanding toward where the country should be heading.’

The sectarian divide, meanwhile, is an artificial schism created by al-Qaeda and other non-Iraqis, she says. Many Iraqis are like Mayada, a Sunni, who have married across sectarian lines.

Hat Tip American Freedom

Omar at Iraq the Model has a different view on Iraq and the US elections.”

Nes Hezbollah Rockets From Iran Can Hit Israel’s Nuke Center And Tel-Aviv: “

tel-aviv-night-2.jpg

Iran will not stop until they control the Middle East, or we stop them…

Haaretz:

JERUSALEM – With Iranian backing, Hezbollah guerrillas have dramatically increased their rocket range and now threaten most of Israel, according to senior Israeli defense officials.

The Lebanon-based militant group has acquired new Iranian rockets with a range of around 300 kilometers (185 miles), the officials said. That means the guerrillas can strike anywhere in Israel’s heavily populated center and reach as far south as Dimona, where Israel’s nuclear reactor is located.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge the confidential intelligence assessment to the media.

When Israel and Hezbollah fought a month-long war in 2006, Hezbollah fired nearly 4,000 rockets into Israel. The longest-range rockets fired during the war, which Israel said were Iranian-made, hit some 70 kilometers (45 miles) inside Israel.

While Israel’s air force managed to take out most of the group’s long-range rockets during the first days of the conflict, the military failed throughout the war to halt the short range rocket fire that paralyzed northern Israel and killed 40 Israeli civilians.

After the war, the United Nations dispatched a peacekeeping force meant to distance Hezbollah from the border and prevent the group from rearming.

Israel says that since the war Hezbollah’s Iranian and Syrian patrons have steadily provided the group with large amounts of rockets, many of them capable of hitting central Israel. However, it has not provided any of the evidence for its claims.

Hezbollah and UN peacekeeping officials were not immediately available for comment on the latest Israeli claims Thursday.

Hezbollah declined comment Thursday. Yasmina Bouzian, a spokeswoman for the UN peacekeepers, said the international forces had seen no sign or had any report of movement of weapons in south Lebanon. ‘We have no reports of new weapons,’ she said.

Iranian officials were not available for comment. Iran has never admitted arming Hezbollah, saying its support for the group is limited to civil and humanitarian aid.

The defense officials did not say how many of the new rockets Hezbollah has obtained. But Israeli officials have said that overall, Hezbollah now has many more rockets in its arsenal than the 14,000 it had before the conflict – likely more than double that number.

In early March, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon reported Israeli claims that Hezbollah’s arsenal includes 10,000 long-range rockets and 20,000 short-range rockets in southern Lebanon.

Hamas Gets Iranian Plans For Improved Qassams

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Israel it is now time to take back the Gaza strip and or bomb Iran. Hopefully Israel will act before it is too late. I had some scary dreams last night that relate with this story hopefully they will never come into reality.

Hamas Gets Iranian Plans For Improved Qassams: ”

Haaretz:Hamas militants who recently returned to the Gaza Strip after training in Iran have a detailed plan for upgrading the capabilities of the rockets being developed in the Strip, according to senior Palestinian Authority sources.A senior Palestinian source told Haaretz this week that members of Hamas’ military wing smuggled blueprints and other detailed technical instructions into the Strip that will enable the group to develop rockets capable of striking at longer distances. The PA source was unable to estimate the actual distance that these upgrades will allow the Qassam rockets to cover, but said that the aim is to strike at communities north of Ashkelon, which is approximately 15 kilometers north of the northern border of the Strip.Israeli security sources said recently that Islamic Jihad militants in the Gaza Strip have developed their own upgraded version of the Qassam rocket, with an estimated range of 18 kilometers.Iran is investing significant efforts in trying to increase the striking distance of the rockets manufactured by Palestinians in Gaza. The militants there have only a limited supply of Grad-type Katyusha rockets, capable of striking targets 20 kilometers away. And the stockpiles of Katyusha rockets in Gaza, according to the PA source, have dwindled since the fighting three weeks ago, although Iran has smuggled more Katyushas, made by its own military industries, into the Strip by sea, and has also stepped up its efforts to develop more effective rockets locally in the Strip. The senior Palestinian source said that the technical information for improving the rockets was smuggled into the Strip following January’s breach in the Philadelphi Route wall, which separates the Gaza Strip from Sinai and Egypt. The source added that some 200 Hamas militants who received training in Iran, the Beqa’a Valley in Lebanon, and Syria, returned to the Strip through this breach in the wall.Hamas and Hezbollah militants are being trained in Iran together, and are learning the same fighting doctrines. In addition to the experts in rocket development, militants with specialized training in guerrila warfare also snuck back into the Strip. These men received specialized training in the use of anti-tank missiles, laying road-side bombs, and tactics for carrying out defensive operations against a possible IDF invasion of the Strip. The PA sources said that it is possible that among those who returned after the breach in the wall to the Strip are members of PFLP-GC.”(Via avideditor’s shared items in Google Reader.)</

Muslim Tag Lingers Over Hussein Obama

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

Well Obama did listen to a racist preacher for 20 years thinking that nothing is wrong. And according to muslims he is a muslim because his dad is a muslim and he went to mosques with his friends when he is young. I don’t care what religion he is. All I know is he will be bad for out country and some muslims would consider him muslim. I can’t wait till this snake oil sales man jihadi supporter crawls back to his racist cave and his corrupt racists lies are no longer deceiving people.

Muslim Tag Lingers Over Hussein: “

Politico:

A new Pew poll out today reports that the Wright affair hasn’t really hurt Obama among Democrats, but he’s still having trouble with the older, white, working-class members of his party:

White Democrats who hold unfavorable views of Obama are much more likely than those who have favorable opinions of him to express less tolerant views on race. In addition, nearly a quarter of Democrats (23 percent) who hold a negative view of Obama believe he is a Muslim.
The survey also notes:

There is little evidence that the recent news about Obama’s affiliation with the United Church of Christ has dispelled the impression that he is Muslim. While voters who heard ‘a lot’ about Rev. Wright’s controversial sermons are more likely than those who have not to correctly identify Obama as a Christian, they are not substantially less likely to still believe that he is Muslim. Nearly one in 10 (9 percent) of those who heard a lot about Wright still believe that Obama is Muslim.

Moyers, Rather, Huffington Call For “Courageous, Independent Journalism”

Posted by avideditor on March 28, 2008

The crazy leftist call for truth while delivering more lies. Some things never change.

Moyers, Rather, Huffington Call For “Courageous, Independent Journalism”: “

1

This is like the Taliban, the Iranian Theocracy, and Janjaweed calling for Women’s Rights…
The hard-left hootenanny known as the “National Conference on Media Reform,” — usually ahem, distinguished by a long Bill Moyers rant about the media being saps for the neoconservative war machine — has a new star this year: Dan Rather. The former CBS anchor will join Moyers, Arianna Huffington, Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Pacifica’s Amy Goodman in calling for courageous, independent (read: radical left) journalism, free of corporate cowardice, from June 6 to 8 in Minneapolis.
