Likud Min. Landau: US Demanding Much More Than 3-Month Freeze

Contrary to reports in the media that portray the U.S. as giving Israel a “package” of “benefits” for another three months of building freeze in Judea and Samaria, Washington is actually demanding a lot more for its largesse – far more than Israel can safely agree to, said Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau.

Landau, along with other ministers and Knesset Members – including many Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu ministers, and coalition chairman Ze’ev Elkin – are up in arms over the proposed renewal of the building freeze in Judea and Samaria, and have vowed to fight it with all means at their disposal.

Part of the fight, Landau said in a Voice of Israel Radio interview Tuesday morning, was changing the perception of the “deal” the United States. had ostensibly offered Israel for the freeze extension.

According to Landau, the conditions for the deal are far different than those being portrayed in the Israeli media, which is telling Israelis that in exchange for a “small” Israeli gesture of an additional three month freeze, Jerusalem will receive a bundle of benefits, including additional advanced F-35 fighter jets, and an American guarantee to veto any anti-Israel proposals at the United Nations and other world bodies – and to similarly smash any attempt by the Palestinian Authority to seek U.N. approval for a declaration of independence for an Arab state in Judea and Samaria.

But the United States doesn’t just want a three month extension, said Landau. When asked why he was opposed to so much benefit for “only” three more months of a building freeze, Landau responded, “Israel has failed to learn from the past. President Obama is ignoring previous promises, also written in a letter, that President Bush presented to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Those promises, too, were portrayed as a great diplomatic achievement.

“All the American promises share a similar characteristic – they lack specifics, and are not carried out if they are found to be damaging to American interests.” That was the case with the 2003 letter Bush presented Sharon, ostensibly recognizing Israel’s right to retain the “settlement blocs” in the event of a deal with the PA; in the end, that American promise has been rescinded by President Barack Obama because he has decided it is in American interests to do so.

Foreign anarchists and Palestinian Authority Arabs were caught on film Sunday setting fire to a wooded area outside the Jewish town of Bat Ayin, between Jerusalem and Hevron. The fire damaged many plants, including olive trees.

Residents who witnessed the incident said they believe the group was planning to blame the arson attack on the Jews of Bat Ayin.

Tom Friedman Promotes Building Freeze Extension

Posted by Glezele Vayne on October 26, 2010

Not surprising considering Friedman’s checkered history vis-a-vis Israel. He offers the same tired argument…just give ’em one more chance to see if they’re serious. In the meantime, as the Arabs play their duplicitous games, Jews are maimed and murdered. Enough already.

One State is All That’s Needed

Op-Ed by David HaIvri

Arab parents who murder their own children, in order to murder Jews: Fruits of Oslo

The borders of the State of Israel have never been determined by our leadership based on an understanding of our national interests. Rather, the borders of the state came about by chance, as a result of wars forced upon us by the Arab countries who banded together to annihilate us in 1948 and then again in 1967. The de-facto borders of the State of Israel are the result of the territory lost by the Arabs in those wars.

The so called “pre-1967” borders had no resemblance to the suggested UN Partition Plan of 1947, a plan that was denied by all Arab countries and – ironically-embraced by the Jewish leadership. At the time, they were happy just to be acknowledged in any way, and to receive any part of our historic homeland.

Arab residents of areas that were captured by the Israeli army in that first war in 1948 were granted full Israeli citizenship. They have since been granted all benefits awarded to Jewish Israelis and are expected to fulfill some civil obligations, but not all. They are exempt from military or national service, but benefit from university scholarships and representation in the Knesset. They enjoy the full extent of Israel’s democratic nature, who some take advantage of in an extreme way when they use their freedom of speech to defame the very State that grants them those freedoms and rights.

The areas captured by Israel in 1967 were never officially annexed by the State of Israel. The Arab residents were not incorporated officially into the State of Israel as citizens. Rather, their municipal services are provided by the Civil Administration, a subdivision of the Israeli government. Acting schizophrenically manner, Israel on the one hand refrained from annexing the area captured from Jordan, while on the other hand it invested major resources in developing and settling Jews in communities built throughout the region.

Since the 1977 Camp David Accords the Israeli leadership has been debating different forms of autonomy to be granted to the Arab population in areas captured from Egypt and Jordan in 1967. This debate has evolved into the presently popular concept of a “Two State” solution. At the basis of the theory of the Two State Solution is the establishment of a new Arab country called Palestine, which would be located on the territory captured from Egypt and Jordan.

This concept was tested when Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, and it failed terribly. All Jewish communities, homes and businesses were destroyed and the Jewish residents were displaced. The local “Palestinian” population elected their own government through democratic elections. The Islamic party Hamas won those elections and have been firing rockets into Israelis cities ever since. Not only has this development been a disaster in terms of the relations between Israel and the Arab population of Gaza (many of whom worked for Israeli employers before the change of government), but also for the local Arab population whose standard of living has deteriorated dramatically as a result.

Call to Destroy Israel by Any Means – in Washington, DC

Beautiful Jerusalem Building Boom from WeJew.com

by Maayana Miskin of Israel National News

American professor Kaukab Siddique recently called for Israel to be destroyed by any means necessary, and issued a warning to Jews as well. Siddique spoke over Labor Day weekend at an anti-Israel rally in Washington D.C.

“We must stand united to defeat, to destroy, to dismantle Israel–if possible by peaceful means,” Siddique said. His comments were captured on film by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

“Perhaps, like Saladin, we will give them enough food and water to travel back to the lands from where they came to occupy other people,” Siddique continued. He called on Muslims to “unite and rise up against this hydra-headed monster which calls itself Zionism.”

He made it clear that he was talking about the entire state of Israel, and not only the regions such as Judea and Samaria that are the subject of negotiation. “Settlements are only the tentacles of the devil that resides in Tel Aviv,” he stated.

Notice from Dr. Paul Eidelberg

Posted by Glezele Vayne on July 23, 2010

BS”D

Dr. Paul Eidelberg has sent a newsletter out posting guidelines for organizing a resistance to any further expulsions in Eretz Israel. This would be an unmitigated disaster for not only Israel, but the world. The taste of blood would be in the jihadis mouths, and the reaction would be similar to that of a pool of sharks.

Dr. Eidelberg is asking his listeners and readers to post to everyone we know. I agree the situation in Israel is as serious as the tone of his recent newsletters indicate, thus I am doing my small bit to get the word out as to how to organize a resistance to another expulsion. Israel hasn’t recovered from the Gush Katif expulsion…it would take a miracle for her to recover from another one of any size, let alone the possibility of an expulsion of 650,000 Jews from Judea, Samaria and parts of Jerusalem. (There is no “East Jerusalem”).

Dr. Eidelberg in his own words:

“I was asked by a reader what should be done to stop further “expulsion.” Here was my reply: Although I do not exclude mass demonstrations, they can only be effective if based on a grassroots movement. The battle begins in one’s own neighborhood. For openers, and to set the tone, action-oriented individuals in each neighborhood should form a small group to focus on the Jerusalem issue. They should invite appropriate speakers to define the religious and global significance of Jerusalem—how its surrender will intoxicate the Islamic world and lead to an explosion of jihad everywhere. They should expose Bibi’s despicable record regarding Oslo and Gush Katif. They should produce (1) placards, (2) bumper-stickers, and (3) attractive one-page handouts, with all three signifying, in diverse ways, “We are not going to tolerate any compromise on exclusive Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem.” “Jerusalem belongs exclusively to the Jewish people.” “Israel’s capital is Jerusalem—not Washington and not Riyadh.” “We are tired of Bibi’s appeasement of Israel’s enemies.” “Yielding to Arab terrorists and thugs is cowardly and disgraceful!” “We are fed up with spineless prime ministers!” “Jews worship God not Oslo and not Obama.” Also, abbreviate and distribute Caroline Glick’s June 21, 2005 article “A Coward for a Prime Minister.” Get connected to Jewish and Christian Zionist organizations in the US. Do not waste money on ads, except when needed to publicize a national conference in Jerusalem.”

Delegitimization

Double Standards

Settlers: Secret Plan Renders Barak ‘War Criminal’

Posted by Glezele Vayne on December 20, 2009

BS”D

by Hillel Fendel

(IsraelNN.com) A secret document that has been made public shows that the IDF is planning something close to war against the Jewish population of Judea and Samaria (Yesha), local councils accuse.

The secret document, which has clandestinely reached Arutz-7, shows that the army is planning to enforce the government-ordered construction freeze on Jewish towns in Yesha with the help of six brigades, the entire Border Guard forces of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, Israel Air Forces helicopters and drones, the Shabak (Shin Bet) and police, intelligence forces, and IDF reserve units. The forces are required to submit a daily report to the General Staff and the Defense Minister by 1 PM each day.

The Shomron Residents Committee released a sharp statement in response: “This war plan formulated against the pioneering settlement enterprise in Samaria and Judea, together with the plan against the hesder yeshivot which produce the best of Israel’s soldiers, turns [Defense Minister] Ehud Barak into a war criminal.”

“With the full backing of Netanyahu, who so cynically called us ‘brothers,’ Barak is wasting billions of shekels of the People of Israel’s money in order to promote his own standing in the Israeli left – instead of investing the money in building and developing the Galilee, Samaria, Negev and Judea. We will fight without compromise against Barak’s criminal actions, and we will continue to build our land wherever Arab nationalism threatens to turn it into terrorist states.”

The document states that the plan is on the “General Staff” level, and outlines the plan to destroy new Jewish buildings throughout Judea and Samaria. It appears that the plan is set to be put into operation within two weeks.

more about “Tsufim“, posted with vodpod

All I can say to Binyamin Netanyahu (very sadly, this man, I think basically has a good soul) and Obama is “yesh din v’dayan”. Go visit Ariel Sharon boys. You both need more fear of HKB”H.

When the Jews of Gush Katif were expelled from their homes, at the behest of the US Administration (arm twisting) Americans got Katrina. What will it take before Americans believe the story of Exodus? Are we so far beyond the influence of the Almighty, that we must have our hearts repeatedly hardened in order to believe, there is a Judge and He does judge??

In the end, Israel will be fine. America? I’m not so sure.

MK Michael Ben-Ari has come up with yet another brilliant idea, especially prescient in light of current tragic trends among some sectors of Israeli society — to join the plunderers. The JNF has violated our trust by donating funds intended to build Jewish communities to our sworn enemies, the Arabs of Fatah aka the PLO, aka the PA, headed by Abu Mazen (his war name) aka Mahmoud Abbas. The Aktions of George Soros; Holocaust Survivor

Posted by Glezele Vayne on July 29, 2009

BS”D

In yet another enlightening audio, entitled Audio: Sorrow by Soros, at Arutz Sheva…Yishai Fleisher inteviews reporter, editor, news writer and activist Gil Ronen. Fleisher and Ronen expose a few more pieces of the puzzle, as well as some insight into the dishonest methodology of Israel’s enemies.

Did you know George Soros is a Holocaust survivor? Do you know how he survived? His family acquired fake Christian identity papers. Junior Soros worked with Christians, throwing Jews off their property and confiscate it.

By his own admission, he never felt any pangs of guilt in doing this. He was a kid, yeah…but still…kids have consciences too. Well, most of them do.

The American Thinker has an excellent article about Soros, which includes a bit of background into his family as well.

The Religious Quest of George Soros

Excerpt:

My suspicion is that George Soros was more affected by the atrocities of the Nazis than he is able to admit, even to himself.  He was trying in his own way to search for God, but then the Nazis swooped in with their heinous hatred of the Jews, and their unreasonable evil wrath scared the wits out of George.  His arrogance, I believe, is just a cover for his underlying fear.”

It looks like in the end, Soros will not come out on the right side of history. He is using his vast fortune to fund some nefarious activities, which apparently are designed not only to bring to an end Jewish life in Judea and Samaria, but Jewish sovereignty over any part of Eretz Israel. The group who is doing his dirty work,  The International Crisis Group, thinks nothing of sending foreign agents into prayer groups who have the temerity to claim exclusive Jewish membership, wherever they be, even within the so-called “Green Line”.
