Antisemitism on the rise in Europe

Posted by avideditor on January 24, 2011

More jihadis = more other problems.

From http://lumpygrumpyandfrumpy.blogspot.com/2011/01/antisemitism-on-rise-in-europe.html

Though the Turkel committee cleared the IDF and Israel of any illegal actions during the May 31 flotilla raid, a Jewish Agency report says the deaths of the nine Turkish citizens on board unleashed a surge of anti-Semitism throughout the world…

“The report adds that physical harm is done to Jews or Jewish institutions nearly every day, especially in Europe, with France being the leader in such incidents. Belgium, Holland, and Sweden are also seen as dangerous abodes of anti-Semitism.

“In addition, the Jewish Agency warns that extreme Islamic movements in Europe have increasingly adopted Nazi ideology throughout 2010, with Holocaust denial escalating to a view of the atrocities of World War II as punishment of Jews for their crimes.”

More here.

I don’t think the IDF raid on the flotilla unleashed any antisemitism: all it did was provide an easy excuse for the open expression of the antisemitism that was already there.

Liberty Forest Holocaust Deniers

During my 6 month stint as a member of Liberty Forest (RonPaulForums.com) I never saw any moderator or Admin taking issue with the premise of the following thread…namely, that questioning the existence of the Holocaust is a legitimate intellectual activity, and does not in any way indicate that one is an anti-semite. Successor to the Nazis

No difference between the UN and the PLO.

On November 7, 1975, the United Nations endowed the PLO with observer status in the General Assembly. Three days later, the Assembly adopted Resolution 3379 which states that “Zionism is Racism.” A profound and deadly irony underlies these resolutions.

Recall that the UN was created in 1945 as a reaction to Nazism, which had precipitated World War II and the
That resolution was a tacit declaration of war against Israel and the Jewish people.
Holocaust. However, in 1975, when the PLO was entrenched in the General Assembly, it became the successor to the Nazis. That resolution was a tacit declaration of war against Israel and the Jewish people. The UN opened its doors to the PLO and thereby legitimized a worldwide terrorist organization committed to Israel’s destruction.

The PLO should be viewed as the spearhead of the UN. It was only after the PLO was given observer status that one proposed resolution after another, hitherto quashed, was passed condemning Israel and questioning its legitimacy. Since the Arabs could not defeat Israel on the battlefield, they used the PLO and its presence in the UN to defame and destroy the “Zionist entity”.

The balance of power in the UN’s Human Rights Council is held by the Organization of the Islamic Conference – a consortium of despotic Islamic regimes that contradicts the UN Charter. The OIC, Alex Grobman points out, “adamantly maintains that the definition of terrorism never include ‘armed struggle for liberation and self-determination,’ so that when Arab terrorists blow up Jewish men, women and children in synagogues, cafes, shopping malls, pizza ships, buses, and discotheques, it is acceptable and justifiable.”

When Oriana Fallaci questioned Yasser Arafat about whether he was seeking peace, he replied: “We don’t want peace, we want victory. Peace for us means Israel’s destruction and nothing else…. We shall fight on to victory. Even for decades, for generations, if necessary.” This accords with the jihadi ethos – and Islam has the largest bloc of states in the UN.

As Bernard Lewis points out, there is no bloc of Christian or Buddhist states that meets and decides on a common course of action at the UN. In contrast, “Some fifty-five Muslim governments, including monarchies and republics, conservatives and revolutionaries, practitioners of capitalism and disciples of various kinds of socialism, friends and enemies of the United States, and exponents of a whole spectrum of shades of neutrality, have built up an elaborate apparatus of international consultation and even, on some occasions, of cooperation. They hold regular high-level conferences, and, despite differences of structure, ideology, and policy, [they] have achieved a significant measure of agreement and common action.”

Given the power of the Islamic bloc in the UN and Islam’s worldwide network of mosques preaching jihad and hatred of the Western civilization in general, and of America and Israel in particular, it is not only absurd and comic, but also self-demeaning and self-destructive for the US and Israel to remain in the UN.

In 1975, Senator Patrick Moynihan, US Ambassador to the United Nations, argued that the US should remain in opposition to the UN. In contrast, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said the UN was not worth saving and that the US should “let it sink.” By remaining in the UN, both the US and Israel undermine what is most needed in this nihilistic age, moral clarity.

Moral clarity is especially needed with respect to Islam, which Bat Ye’or called a “culture of hate,” but which, for that reason, may be called a “culture of evil.” What else can be said of Iran, the emerging superpower of the Middle East, that preaches “death to America” and “death to Israel”? What else can be said of Saudi Arabia, which finances terrorist groups to implement these maledictions?

Teaching Hatred to Palestinian Children

Posted by Glezele Vayne on March 12, 2009

BS”D

Arab/Muslim sanctimony is intriguing. In his wrath, Teheran’s Chief Prosecutor, Sayid Mortazavi  has charged 34 Israeli commanders and 115 soldiers with war crimes, in the wake of Israeli defensive measures against Hamas. The Hague is reviewing. More coverage on the likelihood of this actually amounting to something can be found here. Google is your friend. There are several sites that are reporting on this.

Israel seeks to put a stop to the constant barrage of Qassam, et al., rockets which have been launched from Gaza schools, mosques and hospitals. These rockets have been deliberately directed at Israeli kindergartens and other civilian targets for the last 8 years.

Where is Mortazavi when Hamas TV, Palestinian TV, and Lebanon’s al-Manar TV are all busy airing various “educational” children’s programs’ such as the likeness of Mickey Mouse spewing hateful Islamic supremacist messages via the mouths of babes, Hamasnik rabbits threatening to eat Jews, and otherwise encouraging innocent children into vicious hatred and prejudice, brainwashing these children into valuing themselves only for their potential as human bombs???

Here’s the $64,000 question: Where is Disney?!? The Walt Disney Company is known for jealously guarding any trademarked images, to the point of threatening to sue daycare centers in the US, should they have the temerity to paint murals of Mickey Mouse on their walls without prior permission, possibly including steep licensing fees.

Disney suing Hamas via the Hague. I would follow such a case. Get out the popcorn folks, cause this is going to be more entertaining than an episode of The Three Stooges. (Yeah, I don’t have high regard for Disney either.)

Judge Judy, where are you when we need you??

Getting back to the point, if Mortazavi wants to go that route, I suggest some international law specialist draft charges against Hamas, Hezbollah and any other organization which involve themselves with such activities. Charge them with child abuse related war crimes, and present those to the Hague.

Any organization that can be proven to be actively indoctrinating children to glorify suicide in any form, or that encourages them to become  suicide “martyrs”, or that clearly allows or coerces children into becoming combatants/child soldiers, military couriers or in any other military capacity– should be charged with war crimes.

If any parent can be proven to be encouraging their children to become suicide bombers or to enter in military zones to engage soldiers in any manner, then that parent can be subject to charges of parental incompetence, or child abuse, and can then be vulnerable to loss of said children.

If a parent can be proven to be cooperating with organizations, such as Hamas, Fatah or Hezbollah, that make a practice of using children in their conflicts, or of indoctrinating their children to commit suicide, or to entering into a military conflict when they are minors, then those parents can be subject to the same charges.

If parents feared they would lose their children when abusing them in this manner, we might see a very quick reversal in these activities. I’m sure there are many international law experts capable of drafting sufficiently specific and effective charges to this effect, and introduce them to that bastion of truth and justice, the Hague.

“They forget the usual rules of morality and law.  For example, when a murderer takes a hostage and fires from behind his human shield, and a policeman, in an effort to stop the shooting accidentally kills the hostage, the law of every country holds the hostage taker guilty of murder even though the policeman fired the fatal shot.  The same is true of the law of war.  The use of human shields, in the way Hamas uses the civilian population of Gaza, is a war crime–as is its firing of rockets at Israeli civilians.  Every human shield that is killed by Israeli self defense measures is the responsibility of Hamas, but you wouldn’t know that from watching the media coverage. “ The Hamas War Crime Strategy by Alan Dershowitz

Jihad = Mein Kampf – Part 2

Posted by Glezele Vayne on March 8, 2009

BS”D

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” — Edmund Burke, Irish philosopher, statesman (1729-1797)

In Arabic, “jihad” literally means “self-struggle”. That is the soft definition. Allowing ourselves to become entangled in politically correct ideas and language will disarm us. It will weaken our resolve to defend ourselves and our way of life.

We are meant to think the concept of “jihad’ is solely about an internal, spiritual struggle. No. This is only part of the truth, says Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist in part 3 of this series. He goes on to tell us that “Mein Kampf” also means “my struggle”. He then asks us, what and who was Hitler struggling against? And then we must wonder, who are the jihadis struggling against?

I’ve excerpted some quotes from the video below, entitled “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West”. I have this entire series linked on my “Jihadis” page, at the very bottom. It can also be found, of course, on Youtube.

There is a demonstrable connection between the concept of “jihad”, the Muslim’s struggle against the Jewish people, the West, and all non-Muslims, indeed against all moderate Muslims, and “Mein Kampf”, Hitler’s struggle against the Jewish people and all who refused to submit to his view of things. The filmmakers are showing us how history is repeating itself. By excerpting especially poignant quotes, I hope to make plain that 1936 has arrived. Yesterday is back. Are we going to make the same mistakes?

Mein Kampf is a runaway bestseller in some Muslim controlled regions, such as the Palestinian administered territories.

Obsession: Part 2 of 10

We swear by the blood and severed bodies of our children and torment of our prisoners, and we will reply by blowing our bodies (sic). — Suicide bombers induction ceremony, Lebanon 1996

We need to understand the culture that produced terrorism. — Noni Darwish, daughter of a shahid (martyr)

Some people view the current situation with the Middle East as a clash of civilization. I think it’s more than that, way more than that. I think it’s an outright declaration of war from radical Islam on Western culture, on the Judeo-Christian culture. And…we should know that. It’s a declaration of war. — Noni Darwish, daughter of a shahid (martyr)

…It’s part of a campaign of jihad, holy war to bring down the West, undermine the very foundations of Christianity and Judaism. – Khaled Abu Toameh, Palestinian Journalist

The Islamists hate everything other than what they are themselves. They killed, for example, over 100,000 Algerians who disagreed with their brand of Islam. These are fellow Muslims. — Daniel Pipes, Director, Middle East Forum

There is a particular strand of Islam that has, in fact, challenged what I think is the absolutely central pillar of human civilization as such, namely, the sacredness of life itself. — Professor Robert Wistrich, Chair, Sassoon Center for Antisemitism

The most honorable death is by killing. And the most honorable killing and the most glorious martyrdom is when a man is killed for the sake of Allah. — Sheikh Hassah Nasrallah, Hizbollah General Secretary General, Al Manar TV 2005, (Translation MEMRI)

We succeeded with Allah’s grace, to raise an ideological generation that loves death like our enemies love life. — Raed Said Hussein Saad, Al-Qassam Brigades, Commander N. Gaza, Hamas website, December 2005 (translation Palestinian Media Watch)

Most people don’t realize the Muslims are also victims, because if they disagree, they get killed. — Walid Shoebat, former PLO terrorist

Would some Muslim or some Arab who in his heart believes that the Arab terrorism is terrorism, can he say it in (sic) publicly? He will be lynched in a Muslim society if he says that Hamas is a terrorist (sic). — Tashbih Sayyed, Editor, Pakistan Today

I would estimate that some 10 to 15%, and let me stress that it’s an estimate, of Muslims worldwide support militant Islam. That is not to say that only 10 to 15% are anti-American or anti-Zionist. No, that’s much larger. — Daniel Pipes, Director, Middle East Forum

1.2 billions are there with 15% (sic). This is a huge number. This is as big as the united States of America. And the bad thing about it is that they are spread all throughout (sic). — Walid Shoebat, former PLO terrorist

In the Middle East, Islam is our identity, is our political life, is our social life, it’s our life. As a child I attended Gaza elementary schools and we were taught that jihad is a religious holy war for the sake of Allah. That is what it is…to conquer the world for Allah. That is jihad. — Noni Darwish, daughter of a shahid (martyr)

We must educate our children on the love of jihad for the sake of Allah. And the love of fighting for the sake of Allah. — Sheikh Ibrahim Madhi, Palestinian TV, 2001 (translation by MEMRI)

IDF Criticized for Being Competent

Posted by Glezele Vayne on January 22, 2009

BS”D

I missed another memo.

Apparently, effectiveness in battle is prima facie evidence of war crimes. Using children as human shields and storing rockets under their beds is not. I’m going to go muse on this new information as I watch some more videos of pro-Hamas demonstrations in America. These peace loving folks were singing anti-war songs like “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”, and “In spirit and blood, we shall redeem Al Aksa!” … obvious references to the desired two state solution. Oh and they were also singing “Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahood! Jaish-Muhammad saya’ud!” (Khaybar, Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return!), and “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas!”. Isn’t it cute how often they refer to us Jews in their songs? They just can’t seem to get over us.

I remember war protesters in the 60’s (now I’ve dated myself) singing “Kumbaya my Lord, Kumbaya” and sitting peacefully on college campuses demanding an end to the war in Vietnam too.

Something seems vaguely different about these protests. I just can’t quite get my hands around it. Give me time. I’ll figure it out. In the meantime, for your reading pleasure, I’ve posted an Arutz Sheva article on the outcome of the recent “Gaza war”. Enjoy.

IDF Backs Gaza Reports, Says 1,300 Killed in Cast Lead by Maayana Miskin (IsraelNN.com)

Some highlights for your enlightenment below:

“A report issued by Italian journalist Lorenzo Cremonesi earlier in the day charged Hamas with vastly overstating the number of deaths in Gaza.”

“IDF spokesmen said they believe that approximately 1,300 people were killed in the operation, as Hamas has claimed.”

“There is, however, a major difference between the casualties reported by the IDF and those reported by Hamas: the IDF believes that most of those killed were members of Hamas and at least 500 belonged to the group’s armed forces…”

“The IDF still believes that the majority of those killed were armed, adult members of Hamas with blood on their hands.”

“… the estimated number of civilians killed was much higher than the actual number because many Hamas terrorists who were actively participating in battle at the time of their deaths were wearing civilian clothes.”

“… Gaza civilians were afraid of Hamas, and said the group had used civilians as human shields against their will and had fired from United Nations buildings.”
