Myths & Facts of Tomorrow’s UN Security Council Settlements Vote

From Myths & Facts of Tomorrow’s UN Security Council Settlements Vote

The UN Security Council’s meeting tomorrow to vote on a resolution against Israeli settlement activity. It’s time to clear up a few myths out there.

Myth: A US veto will spark Arab rage.

Fact: Arab Days of Rage are trendy, but none are directed at Israel.

Myth: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the biggest source of regional instability.

Fact: The biggest sources of regional instability are the Arab autocrats who repress freedom and the Islamic radicals who want to fill the vacuum.

Myth: A veto will lead to America’s isolation.

Fact: Isolated by who? The Arabs on the receiving end of US aid, the Arabs who fear Iranian hegemony, or the Arabs who are ruled by despots and don’t represent their people anyway?

Myth: The world will benefit from having Israel put in it’s place.

Fact: Arab leaders are desperate for any kind of distraction. A condemnation might buy Abbas some time. But no Arab – not even the Palestinians – will trade away liberty, democracy, voting, free speech, education, health, or pursuit of happiness for a UN resolution.

Myth: The Palestinian issue must not be relegated to the back-burner.

Fact: Irrelevant. The Palestinians hit the back-burner when Tunisian fruit seller Mohamed Bouazizi lit the match that set himself and the rest of the Arab world on fire. Too late.

SIOA: Hamas-linked Islamic Supremacist Hate Group CAIR Attempts to Impede U.S. Military Intelligence Training

The jihadis CAIR is trying to make the US military less effective. Poisoning us from within.
From here SIOA: Hamas-linked Islamic Supremacist Hate Group CAIR Attempts to Impede U.S. Military Intelligence Training

An update on this story from Yahoo News:

NEW YORK, Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A prominent national human rights and advocacy organization is again asking the Defense Department to resist efforts by the Hamas-linked Islamic supremacist hate group the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to dictate the nature and content of anti-terror training for military personnel. That renewed request by Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) comes after Hamas-linked CAIR, one of the nation’s most notorious Islamic supremacist hate groups, demanded that the Defense Department not invite the noted Islam scholar Robert Spencer to offer training to military intelligence personnel. SIOA respectfully requests that the Defense Department repudiate this attempt by Hamas-linked CAIR to hinder national security by interfering with and impeding counterterrorism training.

18 billion of US tax payers money going to the Jihadis in Pakistan since 9/11

Posted by avideditor on January 15, 2011

It seems that the US tax payers have been funding jihadis in Pakistan despite that country allowing Jihadis to run rampant even killing any official there that speaks out against them.
PAKISTAN: Rising Islamic extremism funded by $18 billion in US taxpayer dollars since 9/11

Huge rallies continue in support of assassin who killed the moderate Governor who spoke out against the death penalty for a Christian woman accused of blasphemy.

Many Pakistanis say they are ready to kill just on suspicion of blasphemy. But Obama remains silent about the persecution of Christians in Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq (and every other Muslim country), he just keeps sending them more of our money.

Uh oh… US weapons sales to Arab countries ‘will alter the military balance in the region’

Posted by avideditor on January 4, 2010

Haaretz has a deeply disturbing report on recent sales of American weapons to other countries in the region, principally Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Of particular concern are the sale of offensive weapons to the Egyptians that could potentially be used against Israel, and the fact that there have been no arms sales to Israel since the Obama administration took office. In a report to Congress, the Pentagon notes that some of the arms sales ‘will alter the military balance in the region.’

From Mere Rhetoric

HamasRemember that time when abysmal failure Gen. Kieth Dayton – sent to Gaza by the State Department to arm and train Fatah forces – abrasively brushed off Israeli concerns about making concessions and giving weapons to weak Palestinian forces? And then when those same concerns were aired in Congress he became a sarcastic prick and blamed Israel? And then Israeli scenarios played out exactly how Israeli security officials said they would, with Hamas easily rolling Fatah and capturing 200 tonsof US weapons and explosives?

Israeli soldiers are still facing those weapons:

Hamas representatives claimed on Sunday that their militiamen were fighting against IDF troops in the Gaza Strip with weapons confiscated from the Palestinian Authority in the summer of 2007. They said Hamas had managed to lay its hands on all the weapons that Israel, the US and other countries had given forces loyal to PA President Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas had also seized dozens of armored vehicles used by Abbas’s security forces, they added. After its men took full control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, Hamas announced that it had seized tens of thousands of rifles and pistols, including heavy machine guns, night-vision goggles and bulletproof vests, as well as vast amounts of ammunition. Sources close to Hamas also claimed that dozens of members of the rival Aksa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah, had volunteered to fight alongside Hamas units.

That part about Hamas using US weapons to kill Israelis is ancient news and those “Aksa Brigrades” rumors are at least partly true. You’d think all this would have caused even a second’s hesitation before moving Dayton to the West Bank to try the exact same thing. Not so much.

Dayton, by the by, is one of three retired State Department generals in the Palestinian territories. That’s one general per two million people. Or, alternatively, “more than we have in the vast majority of NATO countries.” And just look at the dividends it’s paid off!

U.S. Suspects Syria Has More Secret Nuclear Sites YET OLMERT WANTS TO GIVE THEM THE GOLAN

Posted by avideditor on May 29, 2008

Olmert is trying to trade the security of Israel for his own political survival. Even the US sees Syria has more secret nuclear sites.

(IsraelNN.com) The Bush administration suspects Syria has at least three more nuclear sites in addition to the Al Kibar facility that Israel allegedly bombed last September, the Washington Post reported Thursday morning. Syria is negotiating with the International Atomic Energy Agency, which wants to conduct inspections in the country.
American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director Michael Hayden told the newspaper, “Do not assume that Al Kibar exhausted our knowledge of Syrian efforts with regard to nuclear weapons.”

U.S. Poised To Strike “Al Quds In Iraq” Base In Iran

Posted by avideditor on May 4, 2008

I really want to see the US engage in action, instead of just threats. Iran needs to be bombed now! Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb IRAN.
It is just sick to let these people kill our heroes and do nothing. It is pay back time.
Every day we do not bomb Iran the more of our soldiers will be killed and the closer they will get to obtaining a nuke.

Times Online:

The US military is drawing up plans for a “surgical strike” against an insurgent training camp inside Iran if Republican Guards continue with attempts to destabilise Iraq, western intelligence sources said last week. One source said the Americans were growing increasingly angry at the involvement of the Guards’ special-operations Quds force inside Iraq, training Shi’ite militias and smuggling weapons into the country.

Despite a belligerent stance by Vice-President Dick Cheney, the administration has put plans for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities on the back burner since Robert Gates replaced Donald Rumsfeld as defence secretary in 2006, the sources said.

However, US commanders are increasingly concerned by Iranian interference in Iraq and are determined that recent successes by joint Iraqi and US forces in the southern port city of Basra should not be reversed by the Quds Force.

“If the situation in Basra goes back to what it was like before, America is likely to blame Iran and carry out a surgical strike on a militant training camp across the border in Khuzestan,” said one source, referring to a frontier province.

They acknowledged Iran was unlikely to cease involvement in Iraq and that, however limited a US attack might be, the fighting could escalate.

Although American defence chiefs are firmly opposed to any attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, they believe a raid on one of the camps training Shi’ite militiamen would deliver a powerful message to Tehran.

British officials believe the US military tends to overestimate the effect of the Iranian involvement in Iraq.

But they say there is little doubt that the Revolutionary Guard exercises significant influence over splinter groups of the radical cleric Moqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi Army, who were the main targets of recent operations in Basra.

The CBS television network reported last week that plans were being drawn up for an attack on Iran, citing an officer who blamed the “increasingly hostile role” Iran was playing in Iraq.

The American news reports were unclear about the precise target of such an action and referred to Iran’s nuclear facilities as the likely objective.

According to the intelligence sources there will not be an attack on Iran’s nuclear capacity. “The Pentagon is not keen on that at all. If an attack happens it will be on a training camp to send a clear message to Iran not to interfere.”

President George W Bush is known to be determined that he should not hand over what he sees as “the Iran problem” to his successor. A limited attack on a training camp may give an impression of tough action, while at the same time being something that both Gates and the US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, could accept.

US ambassador: Jews will just have to leave Jerusalem

Posted by avideditor on March 20, 2008

Anyone that believes in liberty over tyranny needs to appeal to the Bush administration to remove the current US ambassador. He is trying to take away the liberty of Jews and replace it with the tyranny of the Islamo-fascist terrorist. Jews have been living in Jerusalem for thousands of year. There already is a Palestinian state it is called Jordan. The drive of the Jihadis will not stop at Jerusalem or G-d forbid all of Israel, they want to control the world. If you do not stand up to them now. Your children will be forced to wear burkas. It is time Israel turns around and goes on its own road before it is to late. Road MapUS ambassador: Jews will just have to leave Jerusalem:

http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=15485US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones suggested during a tour of overcrowded Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem on Monday that many Jews will just have to move out of the capital rather than expand into parts of the city claimed by the Palestinians.Jones told said in an interview with The Jerusalem Post that Washington is growing increasingly displeased with Jewish housing projects on the eastern side of Jerusalem, which are certain to hinder efforts to conclude a peace deal along the lines of US President George W. Bush’s vision for the region The American envoy said he is well aware of the lack of Jewish housing in Jerusalem, but in a remark betraying a lack of understanding regarding Jewish historical and spiritual connection to the city Jones concluded that ‘sometimes people do have to move to a different location. They cannot always stay close to their families.’ He insisted that more important than the Jews’ restoration to their biblical capital and heartland is Israel’s implementation of commitments made as part of the US-driven Road Map peace process, even if unreciprocated by the Palestinians.Jones ended the interview by all but justifying the Palestinian Authority’s ongoing failure to meet its primary obligations to curb anti-Israel violence and incitement by stating that ‘it is not easy for either side to move ahead when they see the provocative behavior of the other side.'”
