Honest Words From the Arab World: The Problem is Us and Our Leaders

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://bigpeace.com/elcid/2011/01/25/honest-words-from-the-arab-world-the-problem-is-us-and-our-leaders/

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) offers a translation of a fascinating and candid piece published in the United Arab Emirates, written by Dr. Ahmad ‘Abd Al-Malik, a columnist for the dailyAl-Ittihad. Listen to these strong words:

“The Arab world abounds in energy sources, fertile lands, and [natural] and human resources, yet it has no industry, agriculture, or clear vision of how to utilize this wealth… [Instead] there is unemployment, misadministration, government corruption, backwardness, terrorism, tribalism, attempts by ethnic groups to secede from the motherland, and political parties that value sectarian identity over identification with the homeland. In the Arab world, there is sycophancy towards the rulers, tyranny of the ruling party, and use of force against anyone attempting to express a different view – just as there is censorship in the government media, which is always [considered] the truest and wisest [voice], and one that does not ’speak nonsense’…

After The #PalestinePapers, Abbas Is Done

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://daledamos.blogspot.com/2011/01/arlene-kushner-after-palestinepapers.html

The implications of Palileaks, the Palestine Papers, goes far beyond the veracity of the documents or what it indicates about the Palestinian or Israeli side in the Mideast peace talks. The real question is what future does Abbas and the PA have.

This excerpt of Arlene Kushner’s From Israel is from the January 25, 2011 edition: “Give Me a Break”:

Khaled Abu Toameh, writing about this in the JPost today, does not specifically say that the leaks are fabricated. But he does refer to a “show trial,” which carries certain implications. This, in part, is what he wrote:

“After assuming the role of prosecutor and judge, Al- Jazeera, the Arab world’s most influential TV network, has ruled that the leaders of the Palestinian Authority have betrayed their people and must therefore step down from the stage.

“In other words, PA President Mahmoud Abbas and his men have been convicted of high treason – which, in the Arab and Islamic world, is a crime punishable by death.

“Al-Jazeera is now waiting for the executioner (the Palestinians, in this case) to carry out the death sentence.

“…The TV station has already decided that the defendants are guilty of the…charges against them. The station’s unequivocal message to Palestinians is that Abbas and his men are traitors who need to be removed from the scene, and the sooner the better.

“It’s hard to see how, in light of this damning verdict, the PA will be able to salvage what’s left of its credibility. Al- Jazeera has succeeded in instilling in the minds of many Palestinians and Arabs the belief that the leaders of the PA are a bunch of corrupt traitors who serve Israeli and American interests.

“The damage to the PA’s image and reputation is colossal and irreparable..”

Al-Guardian Hits A New Low – They’re Now The Official Mouthpiece For Hamas

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From Al-Guardian Hits A New Low – They’re Now The Official Mouthpiece For Hamas

Britain’s Guardian has been a Left wing anti-Semitic rag for quite some time now, so it certainly shouldn’t be a surprise that they now feature op-eds by members of Hamas.

This one, written by Osama Hamdan, head of the Hamas ‘international relations’ department gets one thing very right. Hamas is the democratically elected voice of the ‘Palestinians’. Abbas and the rest of the Fatah mafia were simply a means to funnel cash to the ‘Palestinians’ and please people like the Saudis without being too overt about backing the underlying murderous intentions.

Now the West is going to have to decide whether their love affair with the ‘Palestinians’ extends to funding and supporting genocidal terroristsbacked by Iran who consider murdering Jewish women and children a holy act.

In Britain at least, I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was that they’re just fine with that.

Liberal Democrat Jewish Congressman slams Jewish organization for backing anti-Israel UN resolution

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

J Street hit a new low. Ackerman exposes them for their anti Israel and anti Jew stance and now they there best to get other jew haters to condemn Israel

Previously Posted Ackerman exposed the J Street for there anti-Israel and anti-Jew stance From http://barenakedislam.wordpress.com/2011/01/27/liberal-democrat-jewish-congressman-slams-jewish-organization-for-backing-anti-israel-un-resolution/

We all know J-STREET, that anti-Israel, pro-Obama, George Soros-funded self-hating Jewish organization that Barack Obama uses as a beard to make people think he isn’t a Jew-hater.

FOX NEWS– -A liberal Jewish congressman tore into the liberal Jewish lobbying firm J Street this week, saying the organization’s “brains have fallen out” after it urged the Obama administration not to veto a proposed U.N. resolution condemning Israel.
Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-N.Y., effectively cut ties with J Street, a group that raised campaign money for him last year, in a searing press release Tuesday. The tipping point was the group’s call for the administration to clear the way for a Palestinian-backed proposal at the U.N. Security Council condemning Israel’s settlement expansion.
“I’ve come to the conclusion that J-Street is not an organization with which I wish to be associated,” Ackerman said. (What took you so long, Gary?)

J Street bills itself as the voice for “pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans,” and is often critical of Israel’s policies in the process. That hasn’t stopped Ackerman from associating with the group before, but the organization’s stance on the resolution triggered a harsh response.

“The decision to endorse the Palestinian and Arab effort to condemn Israel in the U.N. Security Council is not the choice of a concerned friend trying to help. It is rather the befuddled choice of an organization so open-minded about what constitutes support for Israel that its brains have fallen out,” he said. “America really does need a smart, credible, politically active organization that is as aggressively pro-peace as it is pro-Israel. Unfortunately, J-Street ain’t it.”

Ackerman accused the Palestinians of refusing to make “unilateral gestures of good faith” and sending Obama administration-led peace talks into a “dead end.” ”But astonishingly, it is Israel that J-Street would put in the stocks in the public square,” he said.
J Street outlined its original position in a Jan. 20 statement, reasoning that since U.S. policy holds that Israel should stop building settlements, the United States should not be opposed to a U.N. resolution condemning them.

“The resolution introduced in the United Nations Security Council this week condemns Israel’s ongoing settlement activity and calls on both parties to continue negotiating final status issues in an effort to resolve the conflict in the short term. These are sentiments that we share and that we believe a majority of Jewish Americans and friends of Israel share,” the group said.
“However, if the resolution does come to a vote, we urge the Obama administration to work to craft language, particularly around Jerusalem, that it can support condemning settlement activity and promoting a two-state solution,” the group said. “While we hope never to see the state of Israel publicly taken to task by the United Nations, we cannot support a U.S. veto of a resolution that closely tracks long-standing American policy and that appropriately condemns Israeli settlement policy.”

Obama to withhold veto from Palestinian UN move to condemn Israeli settlements

Posted by avideditor on January 22, 2011

It looks like the destroyer is going to side with the jihadis. I hope he doesn’t but this is a sad day if it is true.
From http://menorahblog.typepad.com/menorah/2011/01/obama-to-withhold-veto-from-palestinian-un-move-to-condemn-israeli-settlements-1.html
Obama21.1.11Israel and the US are set for a collision if President Barack Obama stands by his refusal to veto a Palestinian-Arab motion due to be tabled at the UN Security Council condemning Israel for its settlement policy in the West Bank and Jerusalem, DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report. If he did, he would be the first US president to let an anti-Israel motion go through the Security Council; building on the West Bank and even in the forty-year old suburbs of East Jerusalem would become illegal, as would also municipal, police and military actions in these places. ‘Palestinians’ renaming Jewish historical site

Posted by avideditor on January 20, 2011

The crazy jihadis are trying to rewrite history by changing the name of jewish holy sites. They are going to fail. Not many are stupid enough to fall for their bs.
From http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2011/01/palestinians-renaming-jewish-historical.html
A new study indicates that since 2001, the ‘Palestinian Authority’ has systematicallychanged the names of Jewish historical sites in ‘Palestinian’ textbooks in order to deny the Jewish heritage.

According to the CEO of the institute and the author of the report, Shelley Elkayam, the phenomenon is characterised by a few levels of significance, among them gender symbolism alongside subversive logical undermining and a slipping away from the modern-historical to the mythical-legendary.

LA Times Stringer Peddles Israel Lobby Trash

Posted by avideditor on January 18, 2011

It seems the LA Times still presenting the Israel Lobby lie. To bad it has been refuted and there is actually a lobby that is making Americans go against there self interest the Arab Lobby.
From LA Times Stringer Peddles Israel Lobby Trash

Latimes_logoOver-stretched Western news services rely heavily on arrangements with Palestinian free-lance writers and photographers who know the West Bank: the terrain, the language, the people, the mores. For better or for worse, Big Media coverage of the West Bank would grind to a halt without stringers.

One such writer on my radar is LA Times stringer Maher Abukhater. Calling for greater EU political involvement in the peace process is fair enough. But Abukhater’s out of bounds when he writes in today’s Daily Star of Beirut:

Unlike the U.S. (which has a policy of blind support for Israel for various reasons but mainly due to control by the pro-Israel lobby of the U.S. Congress that as a result ties the hands of the White House), Europe has actually adopted policies toward the Middle East far more advanced than those of the United States . . .

Thus, Palestinians share part of the blame for keeping Europe away because of their mistaken belief that only the U.S. can deliver Israel. But with the U.S. administration’s hands tied because of the strength of the pro-Israel lobby in Washington, neither has the U.S. been able to deliver and Palestinians have been left alone in the cold.

Let’s get a few things straight.

1. US Jews, like all Americans, are entitled to lobby their elected leaders on whatever issues concern them, whether we’re talking about, for example, health care reform, tuition vouchers, the environment, etc. That’s Democracy 101.

2. The US public strongly identifies with Israel because of so many common values: life, liberty, equality, democracy, freedom of speech, accountability, and more. You don’t find those values in the Palestinian Authority.

3. To say a group of Jews is capable of controlling Congress and tying the White House’s hands to the extent Abukhater describes is, at best, small-minded ignorance, and at worst, anti-Semitic conspiracy-mongering.

4. HonestReporting has exposed how How Palestinian Fixers Manipulate Their Media Bosses and taint Western news coverage. See also The Influence of Palestinian Stringers on Foreign News Reporting.

Abukhater’s entitled to his views. But a major US daily like the LA Times shouldn’t rely on any journalist who peddles such trash.

Pro-Palestinian” really means “anti-Israel”: another example

from “Pro-Palestinian” really means “anti-Israel”: another exampleReader Greg points out the Australians for Palestine website, where we see this graphic prominently featured:

So-called “pro-Palestinian” advocates don’t even try very hard to say they believe in a two state solution or in Israel continuing to exist.

Even though Australians for Palestine’s Statement of Principles pretends to advocate for a two-state solution, they say:

all of Jerusalem remains the subject of final status negotiations because of its strategic importance in reconnecting the northern region of the West Bank to the southern region.

In other words, Israel has no rights over even the parts of Jerusalem west of the Green Line.

Not just China: Russia spurs to incite war among Israel, Iran and Syria

Posted by avideditor on January 18, 2011

I suspected it but never read stuff like this before. It is sad that Russia does not see jihadis as the same idiots they are fighting in Chechnya and stand on the side of good.
From Not just China: Russia spurs to incite war among Israel, Iran and Syria

LONDON — Russia is said to have been inciting Iran and Syria to launch war against Israel.

Isn’t that special?

ivan_IV_voted.jpgIsraeli officials asserted that the Kremlin, still under the control of wily ex-KGB operative and current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, was feeding Iran and Syria false reports on attack preparations by the Jewish state. The false Russian reports to Damascus and Teheran were first detected by Israeli intelligence as early as 2007.

“The Russians telling the Syrians that Israel planned to attack them, possibly in concert with a U.S. attack on Iran,” a U.S. State Department report said.

Hezbollah gearing up for another round with Israel

Posted by avideditor on January 18, 2011

I say bring the war on. Hezbollah is just a proxy for Iran but I think Israel can easy totally take them down just don’t hold back this time.

From http://www.theblogmocracy.com/2011/01/17/hezbollah-gearing-up-for-another-round/

I found a very interesting article written by Michael Totten. Hezbollah and really the rest of the Islamofaciasts have been employing a strategy for years on how to eventually destroy Israel. They attack, lose, regroup, refortify, and attack again. While they continue this cycle unbroken, they indoctrinate their children to hate all Jews through the most insidious form of child abuse known to any civilized society. These children are so thoroughly unable to even think critically about a peaceful coexistence by the time they are young adults, it may very well be that it will take another two generations before the concept has any chance of working.

The confessed Mossad spy is Majid the IRGC terminator

Posted by avideditor on January 17, 2011

Majid is really not a spy. In fact he is a member of a death squad for Iran.

From The confessed Mossad spy is Majid the IRGC terminator

Majid the terminator and champion kick boxer

The young Iranian man who “admitted” on Iranian TV last Tuesday, Jan. 11 that he had acted for the Israeli Mossad in the murder of Iranian nuclear scientist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi is revealed in real life byDEBKAfile‘s Iranian sources as a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ secret reserve death squad of brawny sportsmen used to cut down opponents of the regime and break up protest rallies.
DEBKAfile‘s Iranian sources had uncovered the real Majid Jamali Fashi – a champion kick boxer, a professional terminator and an ardent fan of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. As a sportsman, his face is familiar to people in Iran from the media and the Internet. Until late 2009, he represented his country in international kick-boxing contests.
Iranian intelligence minister Heidar Moslehi must have realized that putting him on national TV as a Mossad spy to support his boast that Iranian agents had penetrated the Mossad networks he claimed were spread across the country would open more than one can of worms.

World’s 3 Largest Desalination Plants All in (Tiny) Israel

Posted by avideditor on January 17, 2011

It is great that Israel is making drinking water from the sea. I just worry about jihadis targeting these.
From http://yaacovlozowick.blogspot.com/2011/01/worlds-3-largest-desalination-plants.html

Well, actually, only two, right now. The construction of the third, which will be even larger than the two that are already in operation, began today; it will begin producing fresh water from the Mediterranean in 2013.

This is a nice story, but it has deeper layers to it. For years one of the standard stories about Israeli ineptitude, incompetence, inability to see beyond immediate political considerations and make long-term plans, and general stupidity, focused on the lack of water. The Sea of Galilee has been over utilized for decades, seawater has been seeping into coastal wells, sewage seeps into reservoirs – the works.I expect the stories were all true and justified. But then, a number of years ago, someone decided to get their act together, and within about a decade, the situation will have been turned on its head, all for the better. This fits a thesis I offer from time to time, that sooner or later Israelis notice major problems they’re faced with, and purposefully set out to deal with them.
