From http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/01/29/AR2011012904416.html (yes they are usually commie and pro Jihadi but they provide decent info sometimes )

CAIRO – The installation of military men into powerful new roles in the Egyptian government on Saturday reflected a martial style of rule unbroken in Egypt since Gamal Abdel Nasser and his young officers toppled the monarchy in 1952.

The newly designated vice president, Omar Suleiman, 74, has headed Egypt’s intelligence service for 18 years. Along with a new prime minister who is a former air force commander, Suleiman is first among a troika of leaders on whom President Hosni Mubarak is relying in what appears to be an attempt to secure the regime, if not his presidency, after days of protests aimed at his ouster.

U.S. officials have long viewed Suleiman as a likely transitional leader, at minimum, after Mubarak left office. In a classified cable released by the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, a 2007 State Department assessment described Suleiman as a “rock-solid” loyalist to Mubarak who was being groomed, even then, for a more public role.

Egypt: Three Possible Outcomes

It might be the entire Western position in the Middle East that is swept away, and one dictatorship might be replaced by a worse one. I hope this analysis is wrong; I fear that it is accurate

#MUSLIMBROTHERHOOD, #CAIR, #CODEPINK AND #HAMAS CLOSELY COLLABORATING IN #EGYPT

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

Seems the lefties and the jihadis are working hard to make this revolt like the one in 79 in Iran.

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

From http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/01/muslim-brotherhood-and-hamas-closely-collaborating-in-egypt.html

And the subversive anti-American Jew haters at Code Pink in Egypt right now? There are no coincidences, folks.

I just phoned Tighe Barry, a great US activist with Code Pink, who has been in Cairo, Egypt, all week. Here is the audio.

With the release of the Wiki docments that showed the Obama adminstration secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change.”

CODE PINK has been a frequent White House visitor.

Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza. And they are working with the MB in Egypt. This is not surprising, but it is catastrophic. Worse is media outlets running commentary from the Muslim Brotherhood organizations in America, like CAIR earlier today on FOX news. The MB’s stated goal in the West, according to an internal captured document entered into evidence in the largest Hamas funding trial in US history, “is eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.”

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

Egypt What is at Stake

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

From Egypt, what’s at stake?

Just a short bullet list…

* International commerce through Suez canal
* Peace with Israel
* Oil and gas production exports
* Muslim Brotherhood rising (Islamo-Nazis)
* Fight against Al-Quaeda
* American made arms at the hand of its enemies
* American military presence along Red Sea
* Every western friendly Arab government falling
* Iranian cross Shiite-Sunni fraction domination
* Stability of the entire Middle East
* Africa – further destabilization
* World peace

Another thought, some have questioned what is motivating the rioters and whether the west should support them in their attempt to accomplish a revolution. To which, even if most of them are only motivated by social reasons, and are uninterested in religious fanaticism, the fall of the regime would leave a void – which the radicals are all too prepared to fill. This is precisely what happened in Iran, the radicals were a certain percentage of the civilian revolution. The Communists thought they would take the reigns, we all know how that ended.

Amnesty officially calls Turkel report a “whitewash” – with no proof

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://elderofziyon.blogspot.com/2011/01/amnesty-officially-calls-turkel-report.html

As a follow-up to this story I broke this morning, proving Amnesty’s bias by condemning the Turkel Commission report before even reading it, Amnesty has written a more comprehensive critique of the Turkel report, this time explicitly calling it a “whitewash.”

Of course, since Amnesty had already come to that conclusion before actually examining the report, we can rest assured that their objectivity in their analysis is equally flawed. Can it even enter one’s mind that Amnesty would have issued a press release saying, “Sorry, we were wrong”?

And, of course, Amnesty’s response falls short of proving anything close to what they are claiming:

Amnesty International has condemned the findings of an Israeli inquiry into last year’s raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla as a “whitewash” which failed to account for the deaths of nine Turkish nationals.

Russian imam who converted suspected Moscow jihad bomber had explosives manual, yet was defended by head of Council of Muftis of Russia

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

What is wrong with Russia. Go after the jihadi and stop giving weapons to Iran and other jihadis.

from http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/01/russian-imam-who-converted-suspected-moscow-jihad-bomber-was-defended-by-head-of-council-of-muftis-o.html

The imam Abdullah Stepanenko “was convicted of holding a man captive in 2006, and police found Wahhabist literature, audio and video materials, as well as a manual on explosives, in his home.” Nonetheless, he “received a suspended sentence after the Muslim community, including the head of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin, spoke in his defence and wrote an open letter to then-president Vladimir Putin.”

Now wait a minute. We’re constantly told — by government officials, law enforcement, and Muslim spokesmen in the West — that jihad terrorists represent a Tiny Minority of Extremists™ within the larger, peaceful Muslim community, and that the Vast Majority of Peaceful Muslims abhors those Extremists and rejects their ideology.

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD GROUP CAIR ON FOX PUSHING FOR OVERTHROW IN EGYPT

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

From http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/01/muslims-brotherhood-proxy-cair-on-fox-pushing-for-overthrow-in-egypt.html

Why is Muslim Brotherhood CAIR on FOX news right now? The Islamic supremacist Ahmed Rehab is on FOX denouncing Mubarak, advocating for overthrow.

Rehab is in Egypt right now. How coincidental. The American Muslim Brotherhood in America is in Egypt as the Muslim Brotherhood plots to take over that secular Arab country.

Rehab: “It pains me that my own government back home supports a dictator…..”

Horrible. We expect this from the leftist apologist cable networks, but FOX is dangerous because they pretend to get it.

CAIR has been sending out press releases pushing Obama to push Mubarak out (so, inevitably, ElBaradei, Iran and the Brotherhood can take over).

If anyone can get video — please send it. FOX must stop this propagandizing for the Brotherhood via CAIR. Or at least identify them as such. Why do they cover for them?

USA “SECRETLY BACKS UPRISING” in Egypt

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

From http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/01/usa-secretly-backs-uprising.html

Wikileaks is claiming America is behind the revolution in Egypt. To what end? If the Muslim Brotherhood takes over, and/or an Iranian proxy, one would have to seriously question who and what is in the White House.

Obama took no such action with Iran — a jihadist terrorist state agitating in countries all over the world. That was an historic missed opportunity.

Obama has finally spoke with Mubarak — just moments ago. He had spoken to him up until now.

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

This is NOT like the recent student uprising in Iran. This is like when the Jihadis took power in Iran During Carter.

“Just like idiot Jimmuh Carter’s blindness to the unforeseen consequences of Khomeini and his destruction of our ally in the late-Shah, which still plague us over three decades later in the form of widespread terrorism and regional instability, Obama has PURPOSEFULLY failed to see the lead up to this emergency. ” BREAKING – WHO IS RUNNING THE SHOW – OBAMA OR OBA-HUSSEIN?

The Muslim Brotherhood on the March

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

I think immediate international military action is needed to crush these jihadis. Remember the domino theory?

Perviously posted Jihadis are taking over Egypt

From http://frontpagemag.com/2011/01/28/the-muslim-brotherhood-on-the-march/

It took the opposition in Tunisia only a month to get rid of President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, who fled the country two weeks ago after twenty-three years of control. Inspired and emboldened by that success, Egyptian opposition forces have amassed a fierce popular uprising against their own strongman, Hosni Mubarak, who has ruled since 1981. The fires of discontent in the region continue to grow: today is expected to be the worst day of Egyptian protests since they began and now, Yemen has succumbed to the wave of unrest that is slowly sweeping through North Africa and the Middle East.

We thus appear to be entering a very disconcerting phase in the development of the Muslim world. If dissidents are successful in effecting regime change in key nations, the West should be very concerned about whoever fills the vacuums of power thus created. Indeed, it could be Iran 1979 all over again — and the Muslim Brotherhood is on the march.

Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and Ali Abdallah Salih in Yemen are hardly ideal American friends, but they have at least done their part to keep their countries’ aggressive Islamist factions at bay in an area where options are very much limited in this regard.

Islamist forces in Yemen and Egypt are waiting in the wings as we speak, eager to capitalize on escalating protests which have so far not been principally motivated by Islamic radicalism. A coalition of left-leaning organizations and youth groups, long-opposed to the Mubarak regime, joined together to orchestrate protests in Egypt. These included Kifaya (Enough), the youth-based 6th of April Movement, Karama, The Popular Democratic Movement for Change (HASHD), the National Association for Change, the Justice and Freedom Youth movement, and the Revolutionary Socialists. Free lance journalist Yasmine El Rashidi was in Cairo for the protests and blogged extensively on events for the New York Review of Books. She reports that the movement is largely youth-based and non-sectarian:

To lobby support, the activists used Twitter and Facebook, targeting above all the 60 percent of Egypt’s 80 million people who are under the age of 25. …In Shubra, we joined a marching procession of about one hundred people, mainly Muslims, who were moving slowly through narrow, muddy streets, led by activists chanting into a speaker: “Christian or Muslim it’s not important, similar poverty similar concerns! Hosni Mubarak, Hosni Mubarak, the plane is waiting, the plane is waiting. Saudi Arabia is not far!

UN Human Rights Council’s Richard Falk Discredited as Truther

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

What more evidence is there to disband the jihadi controlled UN?

From http://blog.camera.org/archives/2011/01/un_human_rights_councils_richa_1.html

falk.jpgRichard Falk

In 2008, Richard Falk began a six-year term as the UN Human Rights Council’s permanent investigator on “Israel’s violations of the principles of international law”– a position that itself is a manifestation of clear bias, as it is meant to investigate only Israeli actions and not Palestinian ones. Now the person who holds this position is exposed as a conspiracy theorist, or “truther” who believes he knows the “truth” about 9/11, namely that the U.S. government, and not Al Qaeda, was responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center. It is not surprising that these lunatic fringe views are suported by one who has expressed similar fringe views about Israel, for example, comparing Israeli actions to those of the Nazis. And it is not surprising that the UN Human Rights Council, specifically selected someone with such objectionable views as their resident condemner of Israel.

Falk’s exposure as a conspiracy theorist comes as a result of UN Watch’s 3-year campaign “to expose and combat Falk’s denial and justification of Hamas and Al Qaeda terrorism, and his material support for 9/11 conspiracy theorists.” Read about ithere.
