Le Pen party in France is drawing its support….from the left

There is an interesting article over at Pajama’s media which ends with the question, “why do they call it the “far right”? The question is there because all the latest polls suggest that Le Pen’s party is drawing it supporters not from the “moderate right” but rather from the socialist left. This is also the conclusion of a memorandum written by the French Socialist Party’s own public opinion specialist François Kalfon. “According to Kalfon’s prima facie paradoxical findings (as summarized by Le Figaro), the far right “appeals to a part of the working class electorate that was previously to be found on the left.” Pop over to Pajamas to check it out
