Iroquois Territory Leaders Demand Jews Halt Construction in Jerusalem

Posted by Glezele Vayne on June 1, 2009

Pungent Quote of the Day: “Ms. Clinton’s press spokesman was asked if President Obama’s demand to halt expansion of “West Bank Jewish communities” included a demand to stop expansion of Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

The answer was affirmative. The U.S. State Department demands that Israel limit Jewish growth in these areas of Jerusalem, “whose status remains to be determined” in negotiations.

Israeli Government Press Director Daniel Seamen reacted to this Obama administration statement by saying: ‘I have to admire the residents of Iroquois territory for assuming that they have a right to determine where Jews should live in Jerusalem.’ “

Hat tip: Israel Matzav, which is loaded with a whole mess of  insightful posts. For instance, there is a piece which amounts to an indignant eyebrow raised in surprise, as Carl discusses the Arab proclivity when offered an inch to take a few hundred miles.

All Israeli farmers have had personal experience with this if they’ve had to do business with Arabs, buying or selling livestock, feed or other farming essentials. There is no bargaining. There are the Arab farmer’s demands, and you accept. If you attempt to make a counter-offer, they will respond by offering less. And they keep coming back with the same lousy, under-priced offers, like they’re entitled to your livestock. In fact, one gets the definite feeling they are resentful you don’t just hand over your property, in this case a goat, for free.

You’re not imagining things. That is exactly what the average Arab in the region believes. This is what Islam teaches him. Thus, when translated into international discourse, it goes like this: We, the people of Israel are willing to share Judea & Samaria with you, the Arabs living of the Palestinian Mandate. To which the Arab responds, this land is all ours. No Jews allowed.”

My favorite IsraelMatsav quote is Carl’ commentary on Rahm Emanuel, and I agree with his sentiments.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Then there's that thing that Rahm does whenever he's around Nancy...

Fidel Castro seems to like the guy, judging by his friendly musing over his “unusual” last name, over at The Huffington Post, in their editorial entitled Fidal Castro’s Rahm Emanuel. I already knew this guy was a problem. This is all just underlining it for me. Salon.com has an article entitled The Legend of Rahm by Edward Mclelland. The gist of it is, he’s a typical corrupt Chicago political hack, as is Barak Obama. Sigh. Makes one miss the good ol’ Daley Days (the elder).

I felt so sorry for Emanuel’s father…after all, the guy served in the Irgun. What must he think of his son’s role in dismantling the nation he fought for in his own youth? Then I read this at the Jerusalem Post Online. Okay, no pity for the Rahm’s abba anymore.

Then there is the observant-of-the-irony type piece by INN blogger Yehudah Lev Kay, entitled “Danger: Greatest Threat to World Peace Brewing.” Here are a couple of especially delicious quotes: ”

Police and IDF forces have destroyed this teenager hideout no less than ten times. It’s like a grown-up game of cops and robbers – the young adults build the site again, the strongest army in the Middle East comes back and knocks it down.

Meanwhile, according to U.S. President Barack Obama, Shvut Ami’s tree houses make up one of many “illegal outposts” whose existence represents one of the greatest obstacles to peace in the Middle East.”

And he’s right. If would be funny if it wasn’t so sad…so tragic. The Yesha communities actually think they will be privileged to participate in fair negotiations, just because the Defense Minister Ehud Barak said so. Really? And has anyone noticed what has become of the Gush Katif refugees??

Amidst what is being called Washington DC’s sea-change, we must consider the insights of  Sultan Knish: Obama’s Plan to Destroy Israel

“The plan is to destroy Israel, and to do it by pushing Israel to the edge of the cliff and then over the cliff. Israel’s enemies will be getting top of the line US military equipment. Israel will not. Israel will be squeezed economically until the Netanyahu government collapses, leaving a weak left wing leader like Livni in charge of Israel, and in charge of acceding to the new Pharaoh’s demands.

“Meanwhile so-called American Jewish groups will support Obama all the way, some because they were created precisely for that purpose, e.g. J-Street, and others because they have been hijacked, cowed or subverted.

“That is the game plan and some of it’s coming. The rest is already here.”

The thing is, the vilifying has already begun, so I think maybe the game plan is on a much faster track than even Sultan Knish anticipated. This just in this morning from Arutz Sheva —

Almost everywhere, including The Cable, Netanyahu was quoted as asking “What does he want from me?” Somewhere else I read that he continued on, kvetching something to the effect “Does he want my government to fail?” Someone needs to send Bibi a daily dose of the Sultan…

Yes Bibi. He does.

And here’s a couple of parting shots just to make your head spin a bit faster. It’s not strictly on point, but hey, it’s all so interesting, as the famous curse of Confucious goes. Sheesh.

Jordanian Lawmakers Want to Cancel Israeli Peace Treaty

Why? Because Israel had the chutzpah to pass a law declaring that Jordan is the Palestinian homeland. Come on!! It is 60% Palestinian…I know the original deal, the Partition plan, blah blah blah. Aggressive wars mean the winner dictates the terms of the peace, nixing original deals fellas. So does refusing similar offers repeatedly, and then sending suicide bombers and rockets into your neighbor’s kindergartens, universities and homes on a daily basis. It says something about your lack of good will.

For those who gain energy from pessimism:

Israpundit, “CIA report: Israel will fall in 20 years“.

And to all this I say, watch out US Federal Government.***   You are occupying Iroquois land. And Mexican land. Alaska complains that is was not legally admitted as a state. So does Hawaii.

Be well.  — Ellie

***The good people of America are a separate entity, are also being grossly disrespected by the Federal Government, and are most certainly not the problem.

Wow the Irony of American Indians telling Israel to trade land for “peace”. Wow. Do you think it is a good time to move to Judea? Bibi has been surprisingly a good leader so far from what I have heard. I hope he keeps it up.

You don’t understand Avid. American Indians are not telling Israel to give up more territory. Those who occupy our land, having illegally stolen it from us, committing genocide and ethnic cleansing in the process, are telling Israel that this is the way to “peace.”

Now about that pic – how much clearer could it be that those Rahm and Pelosi are what us old grannies might call an “item.” Didn’t know Pelosi had it in her. And isn’t Rahm a much younger man? Wonder what he sees in the geriatric set. . . . and how much he is being paid.

Yes I understand the joke. I still think it is really funny. Who is stealing land and committing genocide? It is definitely not Israel to my knowledge. Jordan was supposed to be the “Pali” state and Jordan killed far more “Palis” than Israel. Check your history.

Each Jewish settlement constructed, be it in Jerusalem or the West Bank is a direct replacement for Jewish owned territories inside Arab countries. These Jewish homes and businesses were forcibly confiscated by Arab aggression after the partition of 1948. This is not land owned by Arabs but replacements for land stolen by Arabs. Jews had owned these properties in Arab countries for hundreds of years.

The entire discussion of land status is a myth perpertrated by the Arabs to garner support for the unjust Arab cause of eliminating Israel.

Thanks for the information. I was not aware of the fact that these settlements were meant as a direct replacement for Jewish owned land in Arab countries. I am very aware of the forcible expulsion of Jews from those lands, and the confiscation of all their property.

Do you have source references for this information so we can read of this ourselves? Always valuable in an argument.

Did you ever get a source? My first historic happening after I was grown up was the 1967 War. That decided this little southern Ozark girl that God really did have his own people!
