Socialism has become trendy — witness Harvard’s recent conference devoted to trashing the free market, or the Obama administration’s war on the private sector. ‘Correct’ thinking influences corrective behavior and, in tandem, the culture.
And now it is time for Newsweek and the Knowledge Elites to make the next cultural realignment official: “We are all anti-Semites now.” With the Obama administration’s new stance on terrorism (it’s Israel’s fault) and its embrace of Jimmy Carter-style anti-Semitism (we are joining the notorious UN Human Rights Council, which spends most of its time denouncing Israel, Zionism and — let’s face it — the Jews), and the universities and media piling on, it is obvious that the KE’s have reached a nother consensus: the Jews — as symbolized by the culture and politics of Israel and, in fact, by some obviously ‘Neocon’ last names — are simply out of step with the world as we wish it to be. I heard the Simpsons are going to Israel. I hope it is not some lefty anti-jew mumbo jumbo. If it is I am going to hold all the power brokers at Fox responsible. So far Fox is one of the few if not only network that does not actively promote the genocide of Jews. I fear they are going down the wrong path. I have not yet seen the episode, so who knows. But just to make things clear promoting giving Jihadis land so they can kill more Jews is anti-Semitic. For some reason I expect more from Fox. I like buying the NY Post even though I do not live in NYC. If Fox goes to the dark side by promoting anti-semitism, I am not going to buy it any more and I am sure the back lash will be greater than Fox realizes it. Be fair and balanced all you want but do not become a broadcaster of anti-Semitic lies. I saw the story on Isreallycool’s live blog. If you want to know what is happening in Israel, I highly recommend it. Since I am giving plugs, if you have not visited Sultan Knish’s blog, you should. It some of the best analysis out there IMHO.

On Sunday, an IDF reserves captain spoke in Holland, and before he even said a word three protesters threw shoes at him. The venue for the speech had to be changed because the original hotel received threats about hosting it, and decided in that typically European way that anyone who threatens free speech is far more important than free speech itself.
But one detail in the story that got overlooked by most media reporting it:
According to Edelheit, “The Palestinian organizations learned of the change, and then a rush of emails pressured the second hotel as well. There was a protest of some 50 people outside the hotel screaming, ‘Gas the Jews‘.”
This has become a fashionable statement among the “pro-Palestinian” crowd. Even as they insist that they are not anti-semitic, the number of times that this or similar phrases have popped up at protests is increasing.
The mass anti-Israel demonstrations in Germany in January were largely organized and supported by Arab, Turkish and Palestinian groups. Left Party politicians in the Bundestag urged their members to attend the rallies, which turned into displays of Jew and Israel hatred, including calls to “gas the Jews,” “Jews out of Germany,” “Kill, kill Jews,” and “Kill, kill Israelis.”
One of the most agonising and tragic aspects of the current global wave of Jew-hatred is the prominent part played in this by Jews. This is not a new phenomenon. (France) Imagine the outcry from the Muslim world if T-shirts which bore the words “Muslims forbidden from entering the park” were on open sale in Jewish areas of France (never mind Golders Green in London). Russia is blaming Israel and the Jewish people for its invading a sovereign country. It is just sick. My parents just got back from Eastern Europe. They told me about a guide at a Holocaust museum who says that when ever there is a problem she tells people it is the Jews and the bicyclist fault. Everyone asks what did the bicyclist do. No one asks what did the Jews do to deserve the blame. It seems as if the world is at it again blaming their favorite scape goat.

Jurors had indicated in questions posed to the judge that they were hopelessly deadlocked and struggling to determine whether Naveed Haq, 32, was not guilty by reason of insanity, as he claimed.
King County Superior Court Judge Paris Kallas ended the jury’s deliberations in their eighth day.
The jurors reached a partial verdict on only one of the 15 counts against Haq, finding him not guilty of attempted first-degree murder of one of the women. But they couldn’t agree on the lesser charge of attempted second-degree murder or any of the other 14 charges, which included murder.
Haq held a teenage girl at gunpoint to force his way into the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle on July 28, 2006. Once in the second-floor office, he began railing against U.S. policies and opened fire when someone tried to call 911. He shot some people in their cubicles, some in the hall and one, Pamela Waechter, fatally as she fled down a stairwell.
An emergency operator eventually persuaded him to surrender.
Prosecutors quickly announced that they hope to retry Haq this year, and representatives of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle expressed their disappointment at the mistrial.
“There is no argument Haq killed Pam. There is no argument he viciously shot five others. There is no argument that he made anti-Israel and anti-Semitic statements. Somehow, all this was not enough,” Jewish Federation President Richard Fruchter said.
