Myths & Facts of Tomorrow’s UN Security Council Settlements Vote

Posted by avideditor on February 17, 2011

From Myths & Facts of Tomorrow’s UN Security Council Settlements Vote

The UN Security Council’s meeting tomorrow to vote on a resolution against Israeli settlement activity. It’s time to clear up a few myths out there.

Myth: A US veto will spark Arab rage.

Fact: Arab Days of Rage are trendy, but none are directed at Israel.

Myth: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the biggest source of regional instability.

Fact: The biggest sources of regional instability are the Arab autocrats who repress freedom and the Islamic radicals who want to fill the vacuum.

Myth: A veto will lead to America’s isolation.

Fact: Isolated by who? The Arabs on the receiving end of US aid, the Arabs who fear Iranian hegemony, or the Arabs who are ruled by despots and don’t represent their people anyway?

Myth: The world will benefit from having Israel put in it’s place.

Fact: Arab leaders are desperate for any kind of distraction. A condemnation might buy Abbas some time. But no Arab – not even the Palestinians – will trade away liberty, democracy, voting, free speech, education, health, or pursuit of happiness for a UN resolution.

Myth: The Palestinian issue must not be relegated to the back-burner.

Fact: Irrelevant. The Palestinians hit the back-burner when Tunisian fruit seller Mohamed Bouazizi lit the match that set himself and the rest of the Arab world on fire. Too late.

Is SEIU Working With Hamas And FARC?

Posted by avideditor on February 4, 2011

From Is SEIU Working With Hamas And FARC?

Prominent current and former members of SEIU local 73 are being investigated for their potential ties to the Hamas and FARC terrorist groups.
Late last year, their homes were raided by the FBI, and they were subpoenaed to appear in front of a grand jury for questioning.
Joe Iosbaker, Chief Steward of SEIU 73, and Tom Burke (former board member of SEIU 73) are among 9 people who are subjects in the investigation. None of them have been charged with any crimes, yet.
Two days ago, they refused again to appear in front of the grand jury.
The interesting thing about these SEIU folks is that they also belong to a violently radical group called the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. From their website:

The Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) is a revolutionary socialist and Marxist-Leninist organization in the United States.
1) We stand for the right to self-determination up to and including secession for the African American nation in the Black Belt South.
While rejecting Zionist claims on Palestine and white supremacist claims to a white southern nation or northwestern nation, we do acknowledge the fact that the most advanced sections of the Black liberation movement, from the 1800s on, have demanded a Black Republic in the South.

It gets worse from there.

This is the same group who, along with the other subjects of the FBI investigation, takes credit for staging the 2008 RNC protest-riots.
Shockingly, SEIU leadership is supporting their accused members, and the chosen strategy of not cooperating with law enforcement.
Beginning at 6:15 in the video below, SEIU’s Matt Brandon gives the union’s full-throated support for targets of the investigation.

Let that sink in for a minute. SEIU members are being investigated for potential ties to terrorists, and SEIU leadership is supporting non-cooperation with law enforcement. Can we question their patriotism yet??

Muslim Brotherhood’s Message Same as Hamas: Kill Jews

Posted by avideditor on February 2, 2011

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

from http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/142072

Many Western analysts agree that the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas are one and the same. One leading Brotherhood cleric has said: “Kill Jews – to the very last one.” A Brotherhood takeover of Egypt would strengthen Hamas in Gaza.

Another Brotherhood leader told an Arab language newspaper Monday that Egyptians “should prepare for war against Israel.”

The Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas are rooted in the same ideology. “If the Muslim Brotherhood groups gain a prominent place in the government, this would definitely help consolidate Hamas’s hold on Gaza,” Atiyeh Jawwabra, a political science professor at Jerusalem’s Al Quds University, told The Wall Street Journal’s Joshua Mitnick.

The journalist added, “Hamas, whose founder was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, has rejected negotiations with Israel and refuses to foreswear military and terrorist attacks.”

“Under a different name (Hamas), the Muslim Brotherhood runs the Gaza Strip. Hamas’s charter states unequivocally that it wants to eradicate Israel,” wrote Richard Cohen in the Washington Post this week.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology was made clear in the sermons of one of its leading preachers based in Qatar, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Two years ago, the Anti-Defamation League posted several of his teachings, one of them a call that Israel and Jews be dealt with by the Almighty who should “kill them, down to the very last one.”

Hamas gunmen from Gaza battle Egyptian forces in Sinai

Posted by avideditor on January 30, 2011

The Egyptian Revolution is Jihadi

From http://www.debka.com/article/20608/

Hamas_security_forces_8.8.10.jpg
Hamas opens Palestinian front against Egyptian regime

Gunmen of Hamas’s armed wing, Ezz e-Din al Qassam, crossed from Gaza into northern Sinai Sunday, Jan. 30 to attack Egyptian forces and push them back. They acted on orders from Hamas’ parent organization, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, confirmed by its bosses in Damascus, to open a second, Palestinian front against the Mubarak regime. The Muslim Brotherhood is therefore more active in the uprising than it would appear.
DEBKAfile‘s military sources report that Hamas gunmen went straight into battle with Egyptian Interior Ministry special forces (CFF) in the southern Egyptian-controlled section of the border town of Rafah and the Sinai port of El Arish. Saturday, Bedouin tribesmen and local Palestinians used the mayhem in Cairo to clash with Egyptian forces at both northern Sinai key points and ransack their gun stores.
Sunday, Hamas terrorists aim to follow this up by pushing Egyptian forces out of the northern and central regions of the peninsula and so bring Egypt’s border with the Gaza Strip under Palestinian control. Hamas would then be able to break out of the Egyptian blockade of the enclave and restore its smuggling routes in full. Officials in Gaza City confirmed Sunday that Hamas’s most notorious smuggling experts, including Muhammad Shaar, had broken out of the El Arish jail Saturday and were heading for Gaza City.
Our military sources further report that the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO), most of whose members are Americans and Canadians, are on maximum alert at their northern Sinai base, while they wait for US military transports to evacuate them to US bases in Europe.

Amnesty officially calls Turkel report a “whitewash” – with no proof

Posted by avideditor on January 29, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://elderofziyon.blogspot.com/2011/01/amnesty-officially-calls-turkel-report.html

As a follow-up to this story I broke this morning, proving Amnesty’s bias by condemning the Turkel Commission report before even reading it, Amnesty has written a more comprehensive critique of the Turkel report, this time explicitly calling it a “whitewash.”

Of course, since Amnesty had already come to that conclusion before actually examining the report, we can rest assured that their objectivity in their analysis is equally flawed. Can it even enter one’s mind that Amnesty would have issued a press release saying, “Sorry, we were wrong”?

And, of course, Amnesty’s response falls short of proving anything close to what they are claiming:

Amnesty International has condemned the findings of an Israeli inquiry into last year’s raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla as a “whitewash” which failed to account for the deaths of nine Turkish nationals.

It’s okay to threaten to murder ‘settlers’

Posted by avideditor on January 28, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2011/01/its-okay-to-threaten-to-murder-settlers.html

Israel’s attorney general has decided that it’s okay to threaten to murder ‘settlers.’

Makor Rishon correspondent Uri Yisrael Paz reports in the 24 January edition that Adv. Dan Eldad of the Office of the Attorney-General has decided not to investigate the remarks of Gideon Spiro, in his 4 September 2010 “Red Rag column” regarding settlers that “Nearly every male settler carries a gun, sometimes he is in uniform and sometimes he is not, and so attacking them is not the same as attacking a non-combatant civilian population….Armed struggle against occupation is internationally recognized as legitimate. … when it comes to the struggle against the Occupation, Hamas does not diverge from what is known and accepted throughout human history…As a member of the occupying people, it would be arrogant of me to presume to dictate to the Palestinians how they should conduct their struggle….”
http://www.kibush.co.il/show_file.asp?num=42202

Eldad explained that there is nothing in Spiro’s remarks that has a “real possibility that its publication will lead to acts of violence or terror,” and that therefore “there is no place for criminal treatment of the matter and the holding of a court hearing.”

I wonder if Eldad would find it appropriate to prosecute someone who – God forbid – murdered a ‘settler,’ or whether he would say it’s not up to us to tell the ‘Palestinians’ how to conduct their struggle.

By the way, this is not an idle question. This was a legal demonstration in the Jaffa area of southern Tel Aviv. Let’s go to the videotape (Hat Tip:IMRA). At about 3:08, the Arab says in Hebrew, “next time this won’t pass this way.” And then it gets worse with cries of racism.

,
Two weeks ago, the State’s Attorney’s office opened an investigation into a Facebook page that called for murdering Arabs. When a video was made calling for the murder of the attorney who was conducting the investigation, the video’s maker was (rightfully) arrested. But people who threaten ‘settlers’ with death should also be arrested.

Can you say “double standard”?

Jewish Biblical Homeland To Be Ethnically Cleansed Of Jews To Create ‘Palestine’

Why Will There Be No Jews In A Palestinian State?

Why Will There Be No Jews In A Palestinian State?
Peace activists rightly find the principle of ethnic cleansing to be both repulsive and racist.

The exception being when the victims of ethnic cleansing are the Jews.

The Jihadis where Cannibals

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

The Jihadis where Cannibals and probably still are.

Cannibalism Among The Egyptian Muslimeen According To Usama Ibn Munqidh

Kitab al-I’tibar (An Arab-Syrian Gentleman and Warrior in the Period of the Crusades), Usamah Ibn Munqidh (translated by Philip Khuri Hitti), p. 59,

A young man of the bodyguard saw Ridwan standing by the door of the mosque and said to him, “O my lord, dost thou not want to ride my horse?” Surely, replied Ridwan. So the young man came at a gallop towards him with his sword in his hand. He then moved his arm as though he were to dismount and struck him with his sword. Ridwan fell to the ground. The Sudanese rushed and put him to death. The people of Egypt parceled out his flesh among them and ate it in order to acquire bravery.

His case was an object lesson, for learning by example, and a warning — but the divine will must be executed.

More and more, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have become one of the most powerful — and controversial — pressure blocs in the global arena. In recent weeks, Israel’s parliament established a commission of inquiry into NGO funding from Arab regimes such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Algeria. Well-heeled NGO advocates have criticized the investigation for being heavy-handed, but in fact, an accurate understanding of the finances behind NGOs is desperately needed. Not only are these groups bankrolled by Israel’s enemies, but the funds are used for the express purpose of conducting “soft” warfare against the country from within. This nexus must be exposed.

Combination of threats may end up leading to mass murder of Israeli Jews

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

Seems I was right a couple of years ago when I posted this The next Holocaust is coming sooner then you think: Pack your bags before it is too late

From http://menorahblog.typepad.com/menorah/2011/01/combination-of-threats-may-end-up-leading-to-mass-murder-of-israeli-jews.html

XCS151_aThere is a lethal threat against Israel which is complex. It can be the ultimate result of the ongoing de-legitimization of Israel. A large diversity of Jew- and Israel-haters in many countries participates in this demonization, pursuing an almost endless number of strategies. Boycotts, divestment and sanctions are only a limited part of their multiple tools. Such a fragmented threat is typical of a post-modern society. All these are part of the “method of the thousand cuts to delegitimize Israel,” as former Canadian Minister of Justice Irwin Cotler called it.

Honest Words From the Arab World: The Problem is Us and Our Leaders

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://bigpeace.com/elcid/2011/01/25/honest-words-from-the-arab-world-the-problem-is-us-and-our-leaders/

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) offers a translation of a fascinating and candid piece published in the United Arab Emirates, written by Dr. Ahmad ‘Abd Al-Malik, a columnist for the dailyAl-Ittihad. Listen to these strong words:

“The Arab world abounds in energy sources, fertile lands, and [natural] and human resources, yet it has no industry, agriculture, or clear vision of how to utilize this wealth… [Instead] there is unemployment, misadministration, government corruption, backwardness, terrorism, tribalism, attempts by ethnic groups to secede from the motherland, and political parties that value sectarian identity over identification with the homeland. In the Arab world, there is sycophancy towards the rulers, tyranny of the ruling party, and use of force against anyone attempting to express a different view – just as there is censorship in the government media, which is always [considered] the truest and wisest [voice], and one that does not ’speak nonsense’…

After The #PalestinePapers, Abbas Is Done

Posted by avideditor on January 27, 2011

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From http://daledamos.blogspot.com/2011/01/arlene-kushner-after-palestinepapers.html

The implications of Palileaks, the Palestine Papers, goes far beyond the veracity of the documents or what it indicates about the Palestinian or Israeli side in the Mideast peace talks. The real question is what future does Abbas and the PA have.

This excerpt of Arlene Kushner’s From Israel is from the January 25, 2011 edition: “Give Me a Break”:

Khaled Abu Toameh, writing about this in the JPost today, does not specifically say that the leaks are fabricated. But he does refer to a “show trial,” which carries certain implications. This, in part, is what he wrote:

“After assuming the role of prosecutor and judge, Al- Jazeera, the Arab world’s most influential TV network, has ruled that the leaders of the Palestinian Authority have betrayed their people and must therefore step down from the stage.

“In other words, PA President Mahmoud Abbas and his men have been convicted of high treason – which, in the Arab and Islamic world, is a crime punishable by death.

“Al-Jazeera is now waiting for the executioner (the Palestinians, in this case) to carry out the death sentence.

“…The TV station has already decided that the defendants are guilty of the…charges against them. The station’s unequivocal message to Palestinians is that Abbas and his men are traitors who need to be removed from the scene, and the sooner the better.

“It’s hard to see how, in light of this damning verdict, the PA will be able to salvage what’s left of its credibility. Al- Jazeera has succeeded in instilling in the minds of many Palestinians and Arabs the belief that the leaders of the PA are a bunch of corrupt traitors who serve Israeli and American interests.

“The damage to the PA’s image and reputation is colossal and irreparable..”

Al-Guardian Hits A New Low – They’re Now The Official Mouthpiece For Hamas

The solution to the “Palestinian” curse on Israel

From Al-Guardian Hits A New Low – They’re Now The Official Mouthpiece For Hamas

Britain’s Guardian has been a Left wing anti-Semitic rag for quite some time now, so it certainly shouldn’t be a surprise that they now feature op-eds by members of Hamas.

This one, written by Osama Hamdan, head of the Hamas ‘international relations’ department gets one thing very right. Hamas is the democratically elected voice of the ‘Palestinians’. Abbas and the rest of the Fatah mafia were simply a means to funnel cash to the ‘Palestinians’ and please people like the Saudis without being too overt about backing the underlying murderous intentions.

Now the West is going to have to decide whether their love affair with the ‘Palestinians’ extends to funding and supporting genocidal terroristsbacked by Iran who consider murdering Jewish women and children a holy act.

In Britain at least, I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was that they’re just fine with that.

Only Israel Can Be Accused Of War Crimes

Posted by avideditor on January 23, 2011

An angry Arab mob protested against a statement of French Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie–one that she never made:

A crowd of angry Palestinians protesters on Friday mobbed the car of French Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie as she arrived in Gaza, an AFP correspondent said.

Some demonstrators hurled shoes at the car and one jumped on top of it in a protest over a statement which was mistakenly attributed to the French minister when she met with the parents of captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in Jerusalem a day earlier.

Oddly enough, the article above, by YnetNews, doesn’t mention what the mistaken statement was.

But the Hebrew version of the article does.

Apparently the Arab language version of Kol Yisrael mistakenly quoted Alliot-Marie as having said that the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit is a war crime–as if crossing into Israel and kidnapping a soldier and holding him without allowing the Red Cross to visit him is perfectly acceptable.

Personally, I think an angry Israel mob should protest that the French Foreign Minister does not think that the treatment of Shalit qualifies as a war crime.

Once again, international law is only invoked when it can be applied against Israel.
