I don’t know about you folks, but I’m sure glad that we’re out of this nasty old Bush recession, aren’t you? And so what if another 192,000 Americans had to lose their jobs in the month of October in order to prove the point, driving unemployment (or “Funemployment!”) to over 10%? That’s a small price to pay for progress. Don’t believe those numbers? Well then let’s take a look: Read the rest of this entry »
Yes folks, good news from this past week: Our long, national nightmare is over. President Barack Hussein Obama (Mmm, Mmm, Mmm) signed the Matthew Shepard-James Byrd Jr. Hate-Crimes Prevention Act on Wednesday. The bill is named after 2 men, Matthew Shepard-a homosexual who was beaten to death because he was gay, according to his attackers; and James Byrd Jr.- the black man who was dragged to death by 3 men in Texas. Both murders occured back in 1998.
To loud applause, Obama hailed the hate crimes measure in the bill as a step toward change to “help protect our citizens from violence based on what they look like, who they love, how they pray.” Read the rest of this entry »

Good day Comrades! It has been brought to my attention that some of you out there are faced with a problem. It seems as though there are some fringe elements out there that are spreading false and malicious rumors about Dear Leader Obama. Such radical leaders as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Congressional Republicans, and large groups of protesters all across the country are speaking vicious and vile lies about Dear Leader’s plans to social….I mean, “nationalize” the health care industry. Why, just look at what The People’s Speaker Nancy Pelosi has uncovered about these hooligans:
Pelosi said that while Democrats are putting forth proposals to reform health care, “those not interested in health insurance reform are disrupting public meetings and not allowing concerned constituents to ask questions and express their views. Many of these opponents who are shutting down civil discussion are organized by out-of-district, extremist political groups, and industry-supported lobbying firms.”
She’s exactly right. Why just look at some of these blatant examples of right-wing “astroturfing” in an attempt to shut down rational discourse and demonize their opponents: Read the rest of this entry »
It seems that every couple of weeks the controvery over Obama’s birth certificate (any by extension his legitimacy as President) rears it’s ugly head. For the record, I believe that he was born in the U.S. and is a natural born U.S. citizen. Those who claim a Certificate of Live Birth is not a Birth Certificate hold no water with me because I was born in Maryland and have a Certificate of Live Birth. My college roommate was from Ohio, and he told me that they have the same thing up there. But just today the conspiracy went mainstream. Today a member of the White House Press Corps pressed Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on the matter. Read the rest of this entry »
Ah yes, many of us remember this graph from the past month (a copy of which can be found on this site), and here is the updated version with June’s numbers thrown in. Credit is to be given here. Odd, isn’t it, that even with the $1 trillion+ spending that President Obama wanted lest catastrophe strike us, here we are worse off according to his own prediction than we would have been without selling our souls to the Chinese.
Who wouldn’t want to live in a community headed by such a mayor? Daniella Weiss is one of the loveliest, most well-spoken women I’ve ever heard. Peace begins in the heart, and this woman has peace. I see a woman here who knows how to be clear, uncompromising and kind…all at the same time.
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has rejected talks with Israel at this time, according to the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper, apparently waiting for the outcome of next week’s meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Last week, the Prime Minister offered to return to the negotiating table immediately and without any pre-conditions.
The Arab world is expecting the U.S. to pressure Israel into specifically accepting the “two-state solution” and halting all construction in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. The discussions in Washington are being billed as crucial to the future of the Middle East.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has maintained the PA must become more stable economically and politically before a new Arab state can be created alongside the Jewish State, a concept that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has rejected.
Israel fears that the objective of the Arab world is to allow the return of several million Arabs who claim to be descendants of former residents in the country. The result would be the domination of Arabs in Israel.
Abbas has conducted a determined single-minded four-year campaign to win international backing for a new PA state based on the Saudi Arabian 2002 Peace Plan that calls for Arab immigration and a new Arab country to be established on all of the land of Judea, Gaza and Samaria, including the Old City of Jerusalem.
The PA includes 250,000 Jews in Jerusalem neighborhoods which were restored to Israel in the Six-Day War in 1967. The municipality annexed the neighborhoods, including Gilo, Talpiot, Ramot and French Hill, into the capital more than 20 years ago, but the international community has not accepted the change.
U.S. President Barack Obama told Jordan’s King Abdullah two weeks ago to meet with leading Muslim Arab countries and persuade them to accept changes in the Saudi 2002 Initiative, according to the London-based Arabic language Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper.
The report reflects the president’s swift action on the Middle East since he was elected last November.
President Obama’s major proposed alteration in the Saudi peace plan is for Arab countries to grant citizenship to approximately five million Arabs who are descendants of former Israelis while allowing them the right to move to a new Palestinian Authority country.
The Saudi plan calls for them to be allowed to immigrate to Israel, a suggestion that virtually every Israeli leader categorically rejects. President Obama also reportedly told the king that he wants the United Nations flag raised over holy sites in eastern Jerusalem, where the PA would have total sovereignty under the Saudi plan.
Al Quds did not specify any other “concessions” to Israel but said that Arab countries should consider “other changes,” none of which were specified.
In his inauguration speech, President Barack Obama waxed poetic about topics like sacrifice. While he clearly understands such a concept as an abstract, real-world follow-through has been limited to the upper quintile of American economic society; both Edward Liddy (AIG CEO) and Rick Wagoner (GM CEO) cut their own salaries to $1, yet both were harangued as convenient targets of populist anger. In GM’s case, it’s time for another party to make a sacrifice- big labor. The fact of the matter is that deposed CEO Wagoner’s salary had little impact on GM’s economic viability, while tremendous labor costs are drowning the company in red ink. Let’s look at the numbers.
First he sends a video to Iran which, according to Brigitte Gabriel, was surely received as a sign of surrender to the mullahs. Now this, a deep bow to Saudi King Abdullah. This video highlights the difference between the proper protocol accorded to the Queen of England, and the huge political gaffe (let’s hope anyway) made when he is introduced to the Saudi king.
It is important to click the Miss Manners link provided at The American Thinker, which describes proper protocol for an American when meeting foreign monarchs.
If you do not think this is funny then you are too serious. The forces of evil have or almost have nukes, and we have Obama as a president, I still have hope for a real change but might as well laugh.
(IsraelNN.com) U.S. President Barack Obama focused primarily on the state of the economy Tuesday evening in a televised news conference except for a single foreign policy issue: the establishment of a Palestinian Authority state within Israel’s current borders. Read the rest of this entry »
