I am an avid editor who is working on a documentary illustrating the media bias against Israel. I have decided to keep a blog to document some of my findings during my research. So some days I may post 30 stories and some days I may post only one. I do not know HTML. I will learn how to use it some day soon. I suspect you are a descendant of Aaron for two reasons. First, your name Cohen indicates the priestly family. Second, your desire for peace. Aaron was a man of peace. It is wonderful that this Shabbat Torah Parsha includes the giving of the priestly blessing.
I would say that the answer to the questions you pose requires much wisdom and we should pray for that wisdom in our daily prayers {In the Amidah}.
As Aaron was a man of peace, all Jews are inspired to emulate his middah of bringing peace amongst people. I appreciate that you have provided an example of this trait. In Torah peace {SHALOM} is always the desired outcome.
Throughout history the Jewish people have co-existed with man nations. Some of these nations include Babylon, Greece, Rome, Spain, and America. There is nothing in Judaism which desires domination over the world. Zionism simply wants to establish the Jewish homeland in Hashems chosen land of Israel. Our people have yearned for this for almost 2000 years {since the Roman destruction in 70CE}.
What is truely needed is a partner to negotiate with. As a Jew who yearns for the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash I am against giving up any of Jerusalem. But I do side with a two state solution {which was the original plan when Israel became a state}.
But we cannot co-exist with those who have only the intention to destroy Jews and our heritage. From the leaders of Arab states we have heard the desire to wipe out Jews and Israel. We must listen to their words because we cannot afford to ignore them.
I have no need or desire to wipe anyone out. I see a world with much potential, a potential for life. Peace is the goal, the journey is a difficult one.
I hope that all spiritual Jews share the desire to bring Hashem into the world and begin the Messianic era of peace on earth.

Poor Shirley Ellis. She had a top five song in 1964 called The Name Game. The game was played by replacing the first name of the player with another consonant. Sadly, the songwriter foolishly made F one of the consonants, so Shirley gave up performing the song with crowds when every player’s name was magically Chuck or Bart.

security firms several hundred military advisers, estimated at up to
1,000, to train the Georgian armed forces in commando, air, sea,
armored and artillery combat tactics. They also offer instruction on
military intelligence and security for the central regime. Tbilisi
also purchased weapons, intelligence and electronic warfare systems
from Israel.
These advisers were undoubtedly deeply involved in the Georgian
army’s preparations to conquer the South Ossetian capital Friday.
In recent weeks, Moscow has repeatedly demanded that Jerusalem halt
its military assistance to Georgia, finally threatening a crisis in
bilateral relations. Israel responded by saying that the only
assistance rendered Tbilisi was “defensive.”
This has not gone down well in the Kremlin. Therefore, as the
military crisis intensifies in South Ossetia, Moscow may be expected
to punish Israel for its intervention.

Already, by 7:43PM, these two far-right National Jewish Front” right wing fanatics- Gvir and Marzel- sit down at their computer and write a letter to the State Prosecutor and Attorney General (as Mazuz and Lador would act on it immediately after seeing from who it was sent!) urging them to spend gov,t resources to open an investigation (on what exactly- they don’t say) just because “it might constititute discrimination-and thus be “unlawful”.
This country has no other threats to worry about- but these two yo-yos- let alone the issue of whether this is really the best Israel’s far right wing activists can come up with to stand up for the national-religious camp? Who exactly is the “Jewish National Front” other than these two guys?
