The world’s Muslim population will grow at double the rate of non-Muslims over the next 20 years, according to a broad new demographic analysis that is likely to spark controversy in Europe and the United States.
If current trends continue, the study found, the number of Muslims in the United States will more than double, from 2.6 million in 2010 to 6.2 million in 2030. The percentage of native-born Muslims in the U.S. is projected to rise from 35 percent today to 45 percent in 2030.
The Future of the Global Muslim Population may be the first to attempt to map the Muslim population of most of the world’s countries. The analysis was conducted by two giant nonprofit groups interested in religion: the Pew Research Center and the John Templeton Foundation.
Among its other projections:
l Muslim populations in some parts of Europe will reach the double digits, with France and Belgium at 10.3 percent by 2030.
l Pakistan will overtake Indonesia as the world’s most populous Muslim nation.
l Muslim population growth and fertility rates will continue to decline.
The analysis could fuel critics of Islam in Europe and the United States, who argue that the religion is at odds with Western values and worry that the number of Muslim extremists is on the rise. This truly is a fascinating article from Family Security Matters that I missed the first time around that it ran in The American Thinker – fascinating not only in what the author portrays about the fact that islamic terror cells are well entrenched in America but provides some incredible inside looks into the Iraq War and activities in Saudi Arabia.

My mission was to interact with Saudi military officials in order to determine the support we could expect from the Saudi government, to determine if Iraqis were monitoring the activities of the U.S. forces at Arar, and to infiltrate the encampments of the Bedouin community (Saudis and Iraqis living in the desert of Arar).
During January 2003 and Feb 2003, Saudi Intelligence officers would boast that the American military was overreacting about Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction. Their bravery changed as we approached the invasion of Iraq in Mar 2003. The high-ranking Saudi officers were scrambling to obtain gas masks and other protective equipment. They knew their equipment was substandard and they wanted U.S.-made protective equipment. We gave them some of ours. The Saudi Intelligence officers were visibly frightened about a potential chemical, biological, or nuclear attack and expressed their fears.
While in Iraq we determined the following:
1. Russian activity in Iraq had been rampant several months prior to the war and up until the day before the invasion.
2. Iranians were infiltrating southern Iraq by the thousands and were preparing to assist insurgents in removing U.S. forces from Iraq.
3. We found numerous pieces of evidence indicating WMD were in Iraq before the war began and some were still in Iraq.
4. I and other agents were informed by Iraqis that a civil war would erupt and violence against U.S. forces would increase due to the Iranian and Russian influence.

Four hundred rabbis will publish a letter Thursdaycalling on Fox News to sanction host Glenn Beck for repeated use of Nazi and Holocaust imagery and for airing attacks on World War Two survivor George Soros.
In an open letter to Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of News Corp, which owns Fox, the rabbis also demand an apology from Fox News chief Roger Ailes for characterizing Beck’s Jewish critics as nothing more than “left-wing rabbis.”
The letter will appear as an advertisement in the News Corp-owned Wall Street JournalThursday for which the rabbis spent more than $100,000, a spokesman said.
J Street hit a new low. Ackerman exposes them for their anti Israel and anti Jew stance and now they there best to get other jew haters to condemn Israel
We all know J-STREET, that anti-Israel, pro-Obama, George Soros-funded self-hating Jewish organization that Barack Obama uses as a beard to make people think he isn’t a Jew-hater.
FOX NEWS- -A liberal Jewish congressman tore into the liberal Jewish lobbying firm J Street this week, saying the organization’s “brains have fallen out” after it urged the Obama administration not to veto a proposed U.N. resolution condemning Israel. Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-N.Y., effectively cut ties with J Street, a group that raised campaign money for him last year, in a searing press release Tuesday. The tipping point was the group’s call for the administration to clear the way for a Palestinian-backed proposal at the U.N. Security Council condemning Israel’s settlement expansion. “I’ve come to the conclusion that J-Street is not an organization with which I wish to be associated,” Ackerman said. (What took you so long, Gary?) J Street bills itself as the voice for “pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans,” and is often critical of Israel’s policies in the process. That hasn’t stopped Ackerman from associating with the group before, but the organization’s stance on the resolution triggered a harsh response. “The decision to endorse the Palestinian and Arab effort to condemn Israel in the U.N. Security Council is not the choice of a concerned friend trying to help. It is rather the befuddled choice of an organization so open-minded about what constitutes support for Israel that its brains have fallen out,” he said. “America really does need a smart, credible, politically active organization that is as aggressively pro-peace as it is pro-Israel. Unfortunately, J-Street ain’t it.”
Ackerman accused the Palestinians of refusing to make “unilateral gestures of good faith” and sending Obama administration-led peace talks into a “dead end.” ”But astonishingly, it is Israel that J-Street would put in the stocks in the public square,” he said. J Street outlined its original position in a Jan. 20 statement, reasoning that since U.S. policy holds that Israel should stop building settlements, the United States should not be opposed to a U.N. resolution condemning them. “The resolution introduced in the United Nations Security Council this week condemns Israel’s ongoing settlement activity and calls on both parties to continue negotiating final status issues in an effort to resolve the conflict in the short term. These are sentiments that we share and that we believe a majority of Jewish Americans and friends of Israel share,” the group said.
“However, if the resolution does come to a vote, we urge the Obama administration to work to craft language, particularly around Jerusalem, that it can support condemning settlement activity and promoting a two-state solution,” the group said. “While we hope never to see the state of Israel publicly taken to task by the United Nations, we cannot support a U.S. veto of a resolution that closely tracks long-standing American policy and that appropriately condemns Israeli settlement policy.”
Islam trumps family ties. “Blair sister-in-law wants him tried for Iraq crimes,” fromAFP, January 26 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):
KUALA LUMPUR — Former prime minister Tony Blair’s sister-in-law Lauren Booth, a rights campaigner and Muslim convert, said on Wednesday that he should be tried for war crimes over the invasion of Iraq.Booth, the half-sister of Blair’s barrister wife Cherie, is in Malaysia for lectures organised by Viva Palestina, a British-based organisation associated with controversial politician George Galloway.
Asked whether Blair should be arrested and sent to the International Court of Justice in The Hague for war crimes, Booth replied: “Absolutely. He misled the British people and took Britain to war on a lie.”
The conflict in Iraq was “an offence”, she told reporters after a speech at a Malaysian university, saying it was organised well in advance between Blair and the United States leadership.
Booth has been a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq, and a supporter of the Palestinian cause, and in 2008 travelled with other activists to Gaza by ship to protest against Israel’s blockade of the territory.

I think Tapscott’s transcript of what Moran says is accurate (skip ahead to 3:00 for the key part) but I honestly can’t tell for sure. “It [the Republican successes in the 2010 elections] happened for the same reason the Civil War happened in the United States. It happened because the Southern states, the slaveholding states, didn’t want to see a president who was opposed to slavery.

At the Standard, John McCormack politely notes that it’s difficult to square this reasoning with The One’s landslide win just two years before. True enough, but I’m less focused on that than on the media outlet he’s speaking to. Am I the only one who remembers Alhurra? It was founded in 2004 by — ta da — the U.S. government as a pro-American alternative to Al Jazeera in the Middle East. (The network acknowledges its U.S. financial backing on its “About” page.) It’s an Arab version of “Voice of America,” in other words, and needless to say, it hasn’t caught on. The pathetic punchline here is that, even on a network devoted to spreading American propaganda, this guy can’t resist tearing his fellow citizens down. Send the tape to Al Jazeera, Jim; maybe they’ll hire you as a full-time contributor after you retire.

Pete King is getting a lot of flack for the direction his planned hearings on homegrown Muslim radicalization have taken. But one aspect of the hearings that should be getting more attention–and credit–than it is concerns the Muslim Brotherhood.
It is “essential,” King told me recently, that we discuss the Muslim Brotherhood’s impact on American Islamic institutions and what King calls the “overimportance” of the organization in the Muslim community.
The official reason for the hearings is two-fold. First, King explains, they are to:
“Inform the entire country of the threat that we face from Islamic terrorism within. Al-Qaeda has altered its policies because it realized it is very difficult to attack from the outside. So they are recruiting Muslim Americans living legally in our country. And this is a change which has evolved over the last several years, and there’s any number of recent cases–Zazi in New York, Major Hassan, Shahzad in Times Square–where we have al-Qaeda or their affiliates recruiting Muslim Americans living in this country.”
“We also have seen some indications that there have been foreign trainers that have come to train the local Taliban who are fighting here in Andar,” Lieutenant Colonel David Fivecoat, commander of 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, recently told TOLOnews. The report stated that “foreign trainers” are “Arabs, Chechens, and Pakistanis.” US military officials often describe members of al Qaeda and allied terror groups as foreign fighters.
Al Qaeda operates in conjunction with the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, and the Hizb-i-Islami Gulbuddin network throughout Afghanistan. Al Qaeda operatives often serve as embedded military trainers for Taliban field units and impart tactics and bomb-making skills to these forces. In addition, Al Qaeda frequently supports the Taliban by funding operations and providing weapons and other aid. The Andar district in Ghazni is a known Taliban and al Qaeda hub in the southeast. Since October 2008, the US military has conducted seven raids against al Qaeda cells in Andar, according to press reports compiled byThe Long War Journal. Senior Taliban and al Qaeda foreign fighter facilitators are known to operate in the district.

Al Qaeda’s extensive reach in Afghanistan is documented in the body of press releases issued in recent years by the International Security Assistance Force. Looking at press releases dating back to March 2007, The Long War Journal has been able to detect the presence of al Qaeda and affiliated groups such as the Islamic Jihad Union in 70 different districts in 21 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.
Furthermore there is talk from the US soldiers on the ground that Pakistan’s ISI is attempting to sabotage the security situation in the district of Ghazni.
Isn’t it perverse that Congress is requiring the abolition of perfectly good incandescent light bulbs, and their replacement by fluorescent lights that contain mercury, one of the deadliest substances known to mankind? (Mercury, as you likely know, is what made hatters mad.) How does requiring the introduction of poison into every home in the United States improve the environment, the stated purpose of the legislation?

An alarming prospect: a widespread movement bent on destroying the Constitution and replacing it with Islamic law. Is that overstated? On the contrary, that’s what the Muslim Brotherhood is all about. Here, for example, is a key passage from the 1991 “Explanatory Memorandum” on the Brotherhood’s “strategic goals” for North America. It was written by Mohamed Akram, then a central Muslim Brotherhood leader in the U.S.:

YALA, Thailand (Reuters) – A powerful roadside bomb killed nine civilians and wounded two others in Thailand’s restive deep south on Tuesday, an attack blamed on separatist insurgents, police said.The victims were all Buddhists and were travelling in a pickup truck to hunt wild pigs when the bomb exploded in Yala, one of three predominantly Muslim provinces plagued by violence since a separatist rebellion resurfaced seven years ago….
The violence, which has been limited to the border region, is believed to be the work of ethnic Malay militants and has claimed more than 4,300 lives since January 2004.
“Ethnic Malay militants” = Islamic jihadists.
Attacks are typically drive-by shootings, ambushes and roadside blasts although car bombings and beheadings have taken place in recent years….
Remember this anti-FBI propaganda posted on terror-linked CAIR’s website a few days ago? It turns out that the mother of Suhail Khan – the so-called “conservative” Muslim being exposed for his terrorist ties – is an executive member of the CAIR chapter who produced the poster. Who is Suhail Khan? Mr. Khan’s mother works for CAIR, and is listedalongside Ahmad as a member of the executive committee of CAIR’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter. Malika Khan’s chapter last week put up a poster on its website advising Muslims: “Don’t talk to the FBI,” and “build a wall of resistance” against law enforcement.
But that’s not all. According to the “Contra Costa Times” and other local press, Mr. Khan’s family mosque has hosted several Taliban supporters, while raising money — unwittingly or not — for Hamas through its U.S. charitable front, the Holy Land Foundation. The mosque happens to be held in trust by another unindicted Holy Land co-conspirator — the North American Islamic Trust. The government recently blacklisted Saudi-funded NAIT as part of the Hamas fundraising conspiracy. It also happens to be the banker to the Muslim Brotherhood network in America.
But it’s not just the mosque that’s a concern. Mr. Khan’s father also founded the Santa Clara-based American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice, whose chairman defended the Taliban even after 9/11, according to the Associated Press. So what “peace” and what “justice” are we talking about here?
Despite these troubling family ties, Mr. Khan has vowed to carry on his “dear father’s shining legacy,” as he calls it. Before his conviction on terror charges, top Muslim Brotherhood leader Alamoudi said he hoped to see this “son of a dear, dear Brother” in the White House one day as “vice president … Allah Akbar!”
