The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government’s liquidation sale of Israel’s strategic assets opened officially this week. Iran’s proxies have pounced on the merchandise.
The first asset sold was the security of southern Israel. The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government’s “cease-fire” with Hamas transferred all power to determine the fate of the residents of southern Israel to Iran’s Palestinian proxy.
Under the “agreement,” Hamas will refrain from attacking Sderot, Ashkelon, Netivot and surrounding kibbutzim for as long as it serves its interests. Since temporarily halting its attacks on southern Israel is the only thing that Hamas has agreed to do, it will use the lull in fighting to build up its arsenal and its military infrastructures in Gaza. When it has built up its forces sufficiently, or when its Iranian overlords give it the order, Hamas will again attack southern Israel. And when it reengages, it can be assumed that it will do so with a vastly expanded missile range. So under the guise of the “cease-fire,” Hamas will place hundreds of thousands more Israelis at its mercy.
The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government’s agreement with Hamas does more than sell out the security of the South. The agreement also divests Israel of its former ability to isolate Hamas diplomatically. Fatah’s renewal of negotiations toward reconciling with Hamas is a direct consequence of Israel’s actions. As these talks unfold, it is clear to all concerned that they will not lead to any sort of power sharing agreement between the two parties. Hamas today holds all the power in Palestinian society. Israel’s acceptance of Hamas’s power over the safety of Israeli citizens only amplified this fact. Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas – who cannot even travel to Nablus without IDF protection – is not approaching Hamas as an equal, but as a supplicant.
Updated: as you can see by my last comment in the thread. I think the support to these claims are build upon not enough evidence for such drastic conclusions. I think some of the work Charles does at LGF is essential and it is good work. When I first wrote this I was presented with evidence that Charles has an agenda to attack believers. I don’t know how good the evidence is now. I hope that is not Charles attempt. I don’t want to discount the great things Charles has done. So read on with caution.

I dont know what LGF is trying to accomplish. Most Conservatives I know are people of deep faith and love for this country. By attacking and belittling those people of faith LGF is cutting its nose off despite its face. What Conservatives need is a real blog to discuss the issues, not this psuedo-science mixed with vitrolic hatred of anyone who is different.
On the one hand Charles loves to belittle the Global Warming theory which apparently a good number of scientists are supporting. Charles is so good at science that he can disregard the rantings of a majority of scientists. He is against GW theory only because it is a talking point of the left. Because of his blinding hatred of the left he comes out against GW theory, which is just as ’scientific’ as the evolution theory. But Charles will put down and denigrate anyone who has faith in the Master of the Universe. His hatred is blinding him, and it will be his downfall.
Mark Levin today on his show explains the severity of the supreme court decision. The liberal judges went against precident and are going to have alot of blood on there hands. I would rather be rulled by a benevolent dictator that want to fight the war on terror then these back stabbing american hating liberals that are doing everything they can to lose the war and allow jihadis to take over america and kill our civilians. God create mankind and Angels. Is he implying Obama is an Angel? If so Obama is a Fallen Angel. He’s not spreading the word of God. He wants political power. Obama isn’t claiming a mission from God, if so why is he trying to achieve political power? When God send prophets it’s to go against the political system and to encourage a turn to God. Obama isn’t doing that. He’s claiming he will solve all the world’s problems. This makes him a False Prophet at best a False Messiah/Anti-Christ at Worst. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama did not rule out Palestinian sovereignty over parts of Jerusalem when he called for Israel’s capital to remain “undivided,” his campaign told The Jerusalem Post Thursday.
“Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided,” Obama declared Wednesday, to rousing applause from the 7,000-plus attendees at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee policy conference.
But a campaign adviser clarified Thursday that Obama believes “Jerusalem is a final status issue, which means it has to be negotiated between the two parties” as part of “an agreement that they both can live with.”

Naveed Haq stormed into a Jewish center two years ago and shot six women, killing one.
Jurors had indicated in questions posed to the judge that they were hopelessly deadlocked and struggling to determine whether Naveed Haq, 32, was not guilty by reason of insanity, as he claimed.
King County Superior Court Judge Paris Kallas ended the jury’s deliberations in their eighth day.
The jurors reached a partial verdict on only one of the 15 counts against Haq, finding him not guilty of attempted first-degree murder of one of the women. But they couldn’t agree on the lesser charge of attempted second-degree murder or any of the other 14 charges, which included murder.
Haq held a teenage girl at gunpoint to force his way into the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle on July 28, 2006. Once in the second-floor office, he began railing against U.S. policies and opened fire when someone tried to call 911. He shot some people in their cubicles, some in the hall and one, Pamela Waechter, fatally as she fled down a stairwell.
An emergency operator eventually persuaded him to surrender.
Prosecutors quickly announced that they hope to retry Haq this year, and representatives of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle expressed their disappointment at the mistrial.
“There is no argument Haq killed Pam. There is no argument he viciously shot five others. There is no argument that he made anti-Israel and anti-Semitic statements. Somehow, all this was not enough,” Jewish Federation President Richard Fruchter said.
